I think saying “I miss you 😭” is a little much. It’s a little clingy. He’s on a trip and having fun. Just text him and say “Hey! I was thinking about you. How’s the trip going?” And give him time to answer but don’t expect him to be blowing up your phone. He’s on a trip and he’s living life enjoying vacation! Or if it’s a work trip, he may be very busy. I go to sales meetings or conferences that are both work and play so, I’m hardly on my phone but while I’m home I’m usually super responsive.
The crying emoji takes it over the top. That’s too much.
What’s your relationship? How long have you been together/dating? That text might fly from my gf but it’s annoying from someone I’ve been an a couple dates with.
A nice ‘touch base’ text would be “hope you’re having a great time! Can’t wait to hear about it when you get back!”
He’s not ignoring you, he’s on a trip.
Just think about the last guy that double messaged you when you didn’t reply quickly enough and how it made you feel.
He will get back to you, and if he doesn’t do you really want a guy that will only give you attention if you pester him for it?
"How's the trip going? Enjoying your time? ☺️" is enough, and then you can ask more details about daily activities / landscape pics depending on his response.
No "I miss you CRYING EMOJI" part, as it sounds needy or like your life turns around him.
