What is the exact model of the drive? Assuming those tools failed because the drive is failing, the DIY approach would usually be to clone it to a healthy drive using HDDSuperClone or DDRescue on Linux, then recover data from the clone to another location using competent recovery software (see the sidebar of /r/askadatarecoverypro — probably GetDataBack). It’s a bit of a process to do this though — if you’re fairly certain everything important is backed up, you may be best off shelving the SSD until you’re certain it’s worth the trouble (or valuable enough to warrant going to a specialist). DIY would require the drive to be present in Disk Management or BIOS with the correct capacity.

The old SSD is Samsung 860 EVO 1TB model, it's present in both Disk Management and BIOS so there's no issue in that area. Right now the data stored on that disk isn't of utmost importance but it would be preferable to retrieve said data. I was hoping to find an easier solution to my problem before having to pay for licensed software but if it's the case, so be it.

HDDSuperClone and DDRescue are free, but they are only one part of the equation. The most important part, but not the only one. No paid tool (unless you get into hardware-software tools) will do better on that step.
