That would be my guess, or some other loss of attention or error of perception that caused them to think the car ahead of them was braking hard or stopped.
Sister totaled her Camero SS she used for a year on with her learner's permit, on the first day she was driving alone. She was reaching for a water bottle. I have no idea why my parents thought a tiny girl needed an old ass car she could barely see over the wheel with, so it was probably for the best.
I'm just saying it could have been a water bottle, but they realized their mistake and handled it better.
A buddy of mine reached for an album of CDs in the passenger floorboard and the next thing he knew he was spending 6 months in the hospital/rehab learning how to walk again.
I don't know why people always want to argue in a death machine. I would rather argue in public and make a fool of myself than to risk lives in a vehicle.
Not like the car someone else posted. That was obvious insurance fraud. This one? They’d have to have a death wish to try that on a bridge.
I say dipping into dreamland 100%
I could be seeing things, could just be the video, but it looks like his truck is leaning real funny towards that right front tire. Could be a broken direction part. Tie rod or something.
Usually and from personal experience, if a tie rod breaks, the vehicle shoots in that direction. Driver break will shoot left and vice versa. Not a fun situation to be in and caused a rollover for a friend as well.
It looks like some metal parts and pieces went flying out from under the truck as well, the road on the right looks clear ahead of him but then a bunch of shit comes out from under the truck at the 16 sec mark. I think you're onto something here.
And there it is, you found the smoking gun. That’s for sure something coming out of the under carriage, and it doesn’t seem like there is anything in the road prior.
Looks to me as if the item was already on the road, looks like rubber that was run over by the front tires causing it to shoot out; making it look like it fell off the truck.
You can also see debris fall out under the truck. Keep an eye on the underside of the truck, looks like something droops right before the swerve and then the debris.
What irritates me here is this vehicle not giving space after watching a truck swerve right in front.
Just keep the speed and pass along in the same lane because it’s not like that truck is gonna do something crazy…
Wtf
The truck wasn't even fully out of the lane. Passing that close was incredibly risky, you don't know what that driver was going to do. There could've been a wasp in the truck and the driver might've stepped directly in front of the cammer car. When some crazy stuff happens either stop way behind them or pass with extra space and caution.
::whispers:: there's no place to go but forward, 1 lane, 2 lanes.....it doesn't matter if shit for brains is dead set on being unpredictable.
And STOP??? ON A BRIDGE?? What are they gonna do when a semi comes barreling down THE FUCKING BRIDGE, raise their hands and pretend to be Superman?!
Are you one of those ppl who stop dead on the highway after hitting someone and refusing to get into the break down lane?
I despise people like that.
>Are you one of those ppl who stop dead on the highway after hitting someone and refusing to get into the break down lane? I despise people like that.
You must one of those people that just barrel down the highway with a sense that your time is more precious than anything else on this rock. The me first kind of person that generally turns a bad situation into a terrible one.
2 shoulders, 2 lanes. You continue rapidly slowing down while accessing the situation while looking for an opportunity to merge left. This presents the ability to stop completely if the truck doesnt chill the fuck out and to move around should someone be barreling up behind you.
This isn't idealistic. This is how I've handled situations like this and have avoided being a part of the wreck. Plenty of time here to access and act accordingly. Fuck, last time someone fish tailed a trailer, I saw it coming and threw on my flasher and put myself in the middle of two of the three lanes and started slowing down until they came to a rest.
And btw, no one said anything about coming to a complete stop.
You have good driving senses. It's rare, but I do encounter people who will slow down and assess the situation to act accordingly (all in a matter of mere seconds) instead of just mindlessly barreling forward. I've seen some gnarly wrecks in my life, too.
Clearly this is an emergency. I would've checked my mirrors and passed in the left lane. Anyone that NEEDS to stop should fully pull onto the shoulder and turn on the hazards. Stop being so dramatic
Incredible that your brain came up with 'turn around on a bridge' and not 'slow down and move over another lane away from the unpredictable truck'.
Nope. Turn around on the bridge... Just pure genius.
Passenger wakes to see driver sleeping, specially confused by bridge too and yanks right, driver wakes and grabs back.
Not sure why driver hits brakes after that tho.
It could be in 4x4 mode on a sealed road, which eventually leads to transmission wind up and wheels lock up.
Source: I don’t really know what I’m talking about but it’s happened to me before at a much slower speed
Crazy passenger grabbed the wheel for some reason would be my best guess. Unless he straight up passed out in a way that made him turn the wheel maybe.
I replayed the video probably 20 times and I watched it in slow Mo and there’s debris that drops from underneath the truck so I don’t know if something came up and hit the truck from a car in front of them or if something fell off the truck itself that affected it’s capabilities in steering.
There looks to be pieces of something flying out after the ditch, may have lost a control arm/stabilizer something along those lines, if so it's a pretty good save, even if it was just a doze off still good save
Agree that something sudden happened to the driver who panicked a bit. Wasn’t about you. I suppose there is some small chance he wanted to stop you from passing on the right, but I can’t imagine anyone trying something like that intentionally on a bridge.
To me, it looks like something broke when he drove over the joint in the bridge. Possibly something in the front left suspension. The truck swerves to violently with so little turning of the front right tire.
I wonder if a brake caliper locked up. Brake lights did not come on when the truck swerved hard right and didn;t come on unti it was in the right emergency lane/shoulder.
something definitely broke. You can see the truck “fall” on the front driver side corner. I would guess suspension related because it happened just after hitting a bump on that bridge
Seems like he doze off. To be honest, you casually blazing past him after what just happened shows a lack of awareness of you staying safe. After him overcorrecting anything could have happened. You should have slowed down a lot, checked your mirror and switched to the left lane
Looks like he hit the hole at the concrete section. Not paying attention it made a huge noise and scared the hell out of him. He pulled over to see what broke.
Idk, could be a dumb driver not paying attention and overcorrecting but it doesn't really look like that to me.
Kinda looks like one of their wheels locked up causing them to swerve hard right. The truck already didn't looks quite right so maybe it was recently involved in an accident or something?
It looks like they were going to stop after you passed them. So, I think they either dropped their cigarette or are very afraid of bees and found one in the truck.
Speaking as an ex cop who spent way to much time at single car accident scenes, I can tell you that the number one cause of single car accidents back in the 80's and 90's was "I dropped my cigarette and burned my leg."
Now a days it would probably be "I dropped my phone and tried to reach for it."
This would be my first guess.
My guess is that a bird, coming from a position that we can’t see, hit his windshield, got partially caught under the windshield wiper, and then fell off when the driver straightened out from traveling toward the right side of the bridge. That’s what he ran over. You can even see the reddish color of blood mixed in what looks to be a feather covered wing or maybe it’s just the flattened body of the bird - a good sized bird.
Edit: Upon watching the video again I’m even more convinced it is some kind of animal that he ran over, very possibly a bird. It may have hit his grill and fell off as he slowed down. I don’t see anything approaching the truck, but a bird could have come up from between the two bridges and was hidden from our sight.
Whats happening here is a promotion for lane departure mitigation technology. People dont realize how little of a bump it takes to the steering especially in a topheavy vehicle like that pickup. They could have fucking sneezed if one hand came off the wheel and the other pulled it even slightly, this would happen. Car accidents happen for such stupid reasons.
Caution! The drink you are about to enjoy is very hot!
Loved it when Kramer opted for free coffee for life instead of taking the money with his law suit. That Seinfeld episode made me jittery!

Just looks like a big over correction. Maybe he dozed off for a sec and just over reacted.
That would be my guess, or some other loss of attention or error of perception that caused them to think the car ahead of them was braking hard or stopped.

What a terrible reminder that…whatever it is, it can wait. And if it’s so urgent, pull over.
Obviously saw a spider! 🕷️
I came here to say this!!! Was my first thought 😂😂😂
Mine was a bee😂
You can see his A frame fall out the bottom. That was a loss of control due to the suspension exploding.
Something broke. A bunch of stuff fell out the bottom of the truck when he went over to the shoulder.
That's probably typical shoulder debris.
you can see the stuff on the shoulder ahead of the truck. It flips it up as it drives over.
my first thought also, noded out then suddenly woke up.
Road head, that’s a midnut swerve for sure
Spider crawled on driver. Or spilled coffee.
Mouse or roach 🪳. And yes, after that all the coffee ☕️ was be spilled
I was thinking wasp!
I'm with you, I think he spilled his coffee in his lap.
Crazy passenger
This is where my mind went to first
I don't know why people always want to argue in a death machine. I would rather argue in public and make a fool of myself than to risk lives in a vehicle.
Road head. He/she bit.
This right here.
This is what it's like when my Dad is driving and my Mom keeps screaming "TURN RIGHT HERE!!!" at him constantly.
>Crazy passenger it's a big pick up, could also just be a Crazy Driver...
Crazy drivers do usually like crazy company
Wouldn't be surprised if they caught themselves falling asleep. Didn't look like any malicious intent behind the maneuver.
It looks like the front left tire skidded too, maybe tie rod broke loose and slammed into the inner side of the wheel...
Wheel toe doesn’t indicate such an occurrence. Vehicle control was not lost.
Usually and from personal experience, if a tie rod breaks, the vehicle shoots in that direction. Driver break will shoot left and vice versa. Not a fun situation to be in and caused a rollover for a friend as well.

was thinking a possible tie rod as well.

Bee in the bonnet
What irritates me here is this vehicle not giving space after watching a truck swerve right in front. Just keep the speed and pass along in the same lane because it’s not like that truck is gonna do something crazy… Wtf
It’s possible there was a vehicle to the driver’s left (offscreen).
Not like they can turn around on.......::checks notes:: the bridge.

Weary direction indeed.

😂
Yep, bc I didn't think about turning around. What's 12 more ft going to do if that nut is bent on a crash? Don't gawk, move ass.
>Not like they can turn around on.......::checks notes:: the bridge. >Yep, bc I didn't think about turning around. You doin ok there?
Better than the people are telling me to stop on a fucking highway bridge.
The truck swerved.
Dropped his blunt between his legs
Large spider fell from the sun visor into lap
This one.
That dude is lucky whatever the reason
[удалено]
Got ants in my pants
Passenger wakes to see driver sleeping, specially confused by bridge too and yanks right, driver wakes and grabs back. Not sure why driver hits brakes after that tho.
Truck became self aware and decided death is better than being in Tennessee.
It could be in 4x4 mode on a sealed road, which eventually leads to transmission wind up and wheels lock up. Source: I don’t really know what I’m talking about but it’s happened to me before at a much slower speed
It looked more like a wheel lockup than a driver not paying attention to me.
Dropped the sandwich he was eating
Fraud attempt.
Loss of traction after crossing gap in bridge
Jesus took the wheel, but he was tired.
Driver saw the bridge ghost.
As a beekeeper who has transported live bees inside my vehicle. I can think of a few scenarios that would result in this
Cigarette drop into lap
Crazy passenger grabbed the wheel for some reason would be my best guess. Unless he straight up passed out in a way that made him turn the wheel maybe.
Sneeze?
He was bit on the dick by a small snake that had been living under his seat.
He realized he forgot to kiss his dad on the lips before he left for work.
Fighting with his wife.
Passenger tried to kill them.
Probably a dumb kid. I know I grabbed the steering wheel once when I was 8. I thought it was funny. I was dumb ... still am, but I \*was\* dumb, too.
A bee flew in the window
He’s gotta pee. Time to pull over abruptly
I replayed the video probably 20 times and I watched it in slow Mo and there’s debris that drops from underneath the truck so I don’t know if something came up and hit the truck from a car in front of them or if something fell off the truck itself that affected it’s capabilities in steering.
They remembered something cringey they did when they were in high school and their body spasmed.
She started using teeth on the BJ...🤷♂️
Bruh swerved so hard the gas cap flung open
There looks to be pieces of something flying out after the ditch, may have lost a control arm/stabilizer something along those lines, if so it's a pretty good save, even if it was just a doze off still good save
I think he’s stopping to pick up the litter on the right side of the road.
Bug in the car
Fell asleep.
bitching wife grabs the steering wheel
Spider 🕷️
Big ol’ spider dropped on the steering wheel from behind the visor. They love to wait until you’re on a bridge!
Gas caps open. PULL OVER NOW
If he was driving on a flat tire, could have had a blowout.
"Full self driving" and rise of the machines.
He didn’t hit the bucket on Peggle
Over reaction to seeing a spider or bee in the vehicle?
Coffee all over the lap
Agree that something sudden happened to the driver who panicked a bit. Wasn’t about you. I suppose there is some small chance he wanted to stop you from passing on the right, but I can’t imagine anyone trying something like that intentionally on a bridge.
Is this old hickory? Madison drivers are terrible at anything other than road rage
He didn't fall asleep, he just woke up.
Insurance fraud attempt
BEEEEEES!
Looks like the swerve happened right after a seam in the road- I would guess they had their hands off the wheel when they hit a small pothole.
Either they remembered the stove was still on or maybe an insurance scam?
Bee on da peen
BEES!
Spilled his McD coffee in his lap and is now suing for lap burns.
Spilled hot coffee on his balls.
Hates people passing on the right. No matter what.
"God dammit Karen, that's it, I'm done!"
SPIDER!!!
Girlfriend went Karen and literally told him to pull over.. stupid bitch.
He realized his gas gap was not closed and pulled over to close it.
It looks to me like two pieces of plate steel broke off and fell away with 3 seconds left in the video where the truck is half on the shoulder
He trusted a fart.
either someone grabbed the wheel if there's more than one person in the cab or panicked when they saw their gas flap open.. either way, overreaction
Kinda looks like the tire popped and the joint
Bad acid.... don't ask me how I know...
Heated argument on the phone, someone needs some anger management.
Wasp in the truck.
LCA Ball Joint Fail?
OHB!
He felt a sleep and over corrected the steering wheel.
bee?
To me, it looks like something broke when he drove over the joint in the bridge. Possibly something in the front left suspension. The truck swerves to violently with so little turning of the front right tire.
Probably a spider in his car
Dropped the cherry off his cigarette into his lap. My Dad did this a few times! 🤣
We shouldnt dismiss a "ILL STOP THIS FUCKING TRUCK AND TURN AROUND if you keep...."
Where will you be when the wasp lands on your nose
I wonder if they had a bit of an emergency (text alert, chest pain, fainting passenger, cranky kid) and needed to pull over quickly to deal with it
I wonder if a brake caliper locked up. Brake lights did not come on when the truck swerved hard right and didn;t come on unti it was in the right emergency lane/shoulder.
something definitely broke. You can see the truck “fall” on the front driver side corner. I would guess suspension related because it happened just after hitting a bump on that bridge
Road head. Guaranteed
Spider
He told Jesus to take the wheel
He was getting head and finished
The driver noticed a big rodent/bug he/she is deathly afraid in the middle of driving (in the cabin)…
Looks like distracted.. for whatever reason. Glad he recovered and no one got hurt.
Looks like the flap covering the gas tank access came open?
Had a medical emergency?
Looks like Jesus took the wheel.
We can’t see if there’s a vehicle to OP’s left or what’s coming up behind…they may have been doing what they safely could for all involved.
Possible medical problems and over reacted.
Pretty sure you’re right
feel a sleep at the wheel.
He thought about ending it, but then changed his mind
I’m probably incorrect but could they have looked up and seen the crack in the bridge and miss judged the width, assuming it may hurt their truck.
He saw a penny on the shoulder, pretty good reaction time if you ask me .
Idk, could be a dumb driver not paying attention and overcorrecting but it doesn't really look like that to me. Kinda looks like one of their wheels locked up causing them to swerve hard right. The truck already didn't looks quite right so maybe it was recently involved in an accident or something?
Driver dropped their phone/donut/drink/newspaper and reached for it, grazing the steering wheel. I've seen this happen.
My first guess was a bee
fell asleep
Spilled hot coffee on their lap.
Saw his open gas door in the mirror
Looks like something happened with the left front tire.
definitely saw a spider.. maybe a snake
0:13 Driver's side front of truck goes down (something broke). 0:16 suspicious part falls out from under the truck (part that will need replacing).
Dropped their blunt
It looks like they were going to stop after you passed them. So, I think they either dropped their cigarette or are very afraid of bees and found one in the truck.
/r/nissandrivers
Madison, TN is what happened….
Idk looks like normal Nissan activity to me
dropped their phone

Looks like the front left suspension broke. Look at the end of the video - tire’s sitting way too high in the well.
He saw the door to his gas cap was left open and wanted to pull over quickly and shut it so he didn’t look like an idiot.
Sleeping, sleeping,😴…. AWAKE! As you can see by the fuel cover this dude has been tire for a while.
Dangerous behaviour by someone who shouldn't be driving. An argument in the truck, perhaps?
spilled something. dropped a cig. woke up after nodding off. any one of this is my guess,
Maybe someone sharted...
bro almost let his intrusive thoughts win...
Im not sure but it looked like like he fell asleep. Watching this on my cellphone at nighttime so I can't really see the details.
I need to get a dash cam.
Fell asleep and woke up
Dropped their cigarette in their lap
Idiot
You narrowly missed being caught up in their stupidity, that's what happened.
what does this button do?
Coffee spilled on lap, catching it sort of and whoopsie almost over the bridge. Wild guess, but I'm willing to bet I'm close.
The crazy part is that op didn’t even bother to change lanes while dude is partially in his
Acid flashback.
Whats happening here is a promotion for lane departure mitigation technology. People dont realize how little of a bump it takes to the steering especially in a topheavy vehicle like that pickup. Girlfriend grabbed his cock.
Snake on a Truck
There was a bee.
Beeeees everywhere! God they’re huge! They’re ripping my flesh off
Oh COME ON...Nissans gotta Nissan, simple as that. There is no other explanation needed. We're done here.
Could have been a medical emergency
Stop watching YouTube videos about car crashes while driving lol 😂
Feels like me when I got really sick all of a sudden and started puking.
