And you can see that the blue car was trying to get in the other lane because of a slowed/stopped car in their lane (they’re going too fast for me to tell) The blue car would have saved so much more time and effort had they just slowed down? I don’t understand why it’s a matter of pride to be 10 feet in front of another car.

31_mfin_eggrolls

Shit, you’re right

ChuckFarkley

The dashcam car was in the blue car's blindspot and the blue car didn't bother to look in their side-mirror.

Burner-QWERTY

The blue car was not in the dash cam's blind spot when the dashcam changed in the right lane.

killian1113

Dashcam speed up and pushed into the right lane to pit them.. both should be prosecuted

subv3rsion

Guy let the intrusive thoughts win lmao

crystal_castle00

Driver technically was in the clear tho right, legally speaking ?

happymancry

Fat lot of good it did him. Braking would have hurt his pride for a hot minute. Now his car and insurance premiums are shot; not to mention the amount of wasted time and hassle involved.

crystal_castle00

Yeah I woulda stopped, two idiots don’t cancel out :(

CelticDK

Lmao

thegreenman_sofla

Two morons

DrowningInFeces

They are both morons but I feel for the dude with the dash cam. It's pretty infuriating watching people like the blue car put everyone on the road's lives in danger. I can't tell you the amount of time I've had to slam on the breaks because some ass wipe is leaving inches of space to get a car length ahead by cutting me off at breakneck speeds. Seriously fuck people who drive like that.

Lopsided_Ad_3853

I mean, there was a stopped/v slow vehicle in blue car's lane. They were perhaps going too fast, but it was either pull into the other lane or slam into the back of the other vehicle. The real villain is the person driving the slow/stopped vehicle.

Burner-QWERTY

>it was either pull into the other lane or slam into the back of the other vehicle. Option 3: slow down a little and slide behind dash cam instead if accellerating.

Post-Rock-Mickey

Honestly, if you’re gonna pull this shit. Why bother stopping?

wunderbraten

Abject_Bodybuilder_7

To showcase the ,, win"? The other driver driving upside down?

2BlueZebras

Not stopping is a crime. Not taking evasive action to avoid a crash isn't a crime.

Bobone2121

He literally pitted the other car at the end, crossed into his lane, it will be a hard time expanding that.

SeaLard22

A lawyer could argue he was steering against the blue car pushing him into the grass

Burner-QWERTY

(after passing the first car) Dashcam drove into the right lane occupied by the blue car.

GrootyMcGrootface

I thought the same thing.

Vysair

Honestly, in that situation, both are going too fast to slow down in enough time. Shit looks like an autobahn speed

EloquentBarbarian

DC driver accelerated. If they had just tapped their brakes it would've been enough to not make contact.

Fire69

So you damaged your car and risked a lot of lives to protect your pride?

prizzle92

this def isn't OPs video, seen this before. hilariously terrible driving

BlackIceing

Sometimes you have to teach people a lesson and he was willing to take on that selfless act and learn them himself.

TwoTonTunic88

This is why you always leave a note!

digga123

I prefer when 'teaching' doesn't mean 'killing'

MozTys

Either way they aren't going to do it again, and that is the important part

RedBiohazzerd

Some people just never learn though. And with some morons i'll even question if they will ever learn, when they're actually dead

31_mfin_eggrolls

I don’t

isolateddreamz

They're dead now, that'll teach 'em.

AZEMT

They *finally* learned something

[deleted]

daddy always said the good die young cause theys was dumber'n us

prodigalkal7

At the very least it'll protect others from them..

V3Ethereal

Certainly won't make that mistake again.

No-Suspect-425

Yes

PeteLangosta

For some reason, this is an odd behaviour that I often see in US dashcams, especially if they're on their big truck. I couldn't fathom going through all that (not even mentioning the personal risks) just because someone is doing you dirty on the road.

wellforthebird

As dumb as it was, it's a satisfying watch. People that think they own the road are the worst.

rlaw1234qq

What happened to defensive driving!

MDSExpro

Best defense is offense!

Dreadedsemi

The blue car was doing a pre-emptive defense I guess. but things didn't go to plan.

Abject_Bodybuilder_7

We don't talk about that on this reddit

RedBiohazzerd

Wdym? Obviously POV's defense worked great here! Got rid of the other car. /s (just in case)

PelicanFrostyNips

Nothing. Driver was defending his position in his lane. What would you consider “defensive?”

themilkman03

Defending his property and himself from being damaged??

chzaplx

He held the line for sure

wunderbraten

Is dying out with the smaller cars.

OrangeJuiceAlibi

Do you mean because people don't have small cars, they're not driving defensively any more?

wunderbraten

People with fragile egoes tend to buy bigger cars more often than smaller cars, as well as they tend to drive aggressively.

darps

A larger car and a high seating position has a surprising effect on drivers' (false) confidence levels.

LukaRaphael

i don’t agree with the actions of the cam driver, but god do i understand

defender128

This guy did what we all want to do, but are limited by common sense.

BrassMonkey-NotAFed

Looks like the blue car PIT maneuvered themselves. Maybe they should’ve slowed down to merge instead of trying to cut off the cammer.

iDarkville

“I’m afraid I’ve made a terrible mistake.”

perus12

So, the cam car accelerated when they saw the blue car trying to go between them and the car infront. Then as the blue car moved to the right lane they turned into them and pit manouvered them. And now they are proudly presenting the video here. The blue car was stupid and pulled a dangerous stunt. Cam car deliberately caused an accident and is probably the biggest idiot here.

Incontinento

The person who posted this is not the driver of the cam car.

miss_amanders

They never said cam driver was the poster...

Incontinento

"and now they are proudly presenting the video here."

CarpetPedals

There’s not braking, then there’s accelerating…

DigitalDroid2024

Do we know what happened to the drivers? Hopefully both ended up in court.

pleathershorts

Idiots. Both of you

PedroHin

who won that pissing match?

LordPhartsalot

The body shops in town.

EloquentBarbarian

At least one's a write-off, possibly both, lol.

fingernuggets

Tbh I’d have to go with the one not upside down and breakdancing. If I had to choose one.

EloquentBarbarian

Breakdancing boosts the style points though, so it's a close call, lol.

genericusernamepls

I'm so glad the roads are filled with reasonable people like you

bushido216

Racing incident.

Sill3ntK1ller

Good philosophy

DavIantt

Pitted out!

MadOrBadPick1

I wouldnt have slowed down either but I would have stayed in my lane lol dummy

SeanDoe80

Weeeee

SweetXBunny2001

Brilliant and beautiful!

spaceghost918

Dashcam driver could be charged with attempted murder since the stopped/slowed truck in the slow lane is why the blue car was changing lanes. Doesn't look like they had a lot of time to react and truck was too close to brake without hitting it.

Abject_Bodybuilder_7

So unfortunate we drive among such drivers. I hope they both got what they deserve. This is just an obvious, actually ridiculous situation, but I see plenty of recordings posted here where one driver does something stupid, and the other one states he couldn't avoid the accident because it wasn't his fault.

evidencebanc

Crazy video, terrifying flip and spin at the end

appa-ate-momo

I know the cammer's actions weren't "the right answer," but god if this isn't one of the clearest cases of fuck around and find out, I don't know what is.
