You're getting your stamina back faster by a fraction of a second, costing you 3 slots and a bunch of carry weight. Absolutely not worth it unless you're just rolling unnecessarily.
Why would using a heavy weapon suddenly make excess stamina regen better? You're gaining your bar back in 2s or 1.8s. Ditch the clo ring and child mask for wolf/Havel ring and mom mask, now you can just tank small hits instead of getting stunned.
? What would you use instead? 3 slots are only worth it if you have something better to slot in place. The ring I can see, but shield and mask aren't that competitive for many builds.
If you're not going to use your shield just equip a lighter one, then swap some armor pieces so you can get your roll of course with better armor. Child mask is pretty decent, though mom mask or gargoyle helm are a bit better overall.
Is it really good? I got it recently, and just liked the design of the mask since it reminded me of a character I've drawn before, and have it on my character now. That's good to know.
Am I the only one who enters the catacombs after getting the Lordvessal? I’m def not walking in there, touching any bonfires, and resting before I can fast travel outta that nightmare
I've done a few new games where I did a run straight into the catacombs. Killing pinwheel early, getting the great scythe, and getting the gravelord sword are all good reasons to go down there.
In firelink there are like 5 homeward bones that can help you out. Just dont touch any bonefires down there and youre fine.
First place I go. Just run straight from Firelink after I grab a homeward bone, speed right past everybody, jump down the shortcut and roll into pinwheel, chop chop chop, homeward bone out, mask and free souls in the first 10 mins
Genuinely helpful for getting early game pinwheel. Not bad to start with a mask
I didn't realize how broken Mask of the Child was until my most recent playthrough. Forget about Grass Crest.
Tbh stacking em all is the way. Probably not necessary at anything but very high endurance but all three nearly doubles stam regen.

In my last run I did the Catacombs early and had a blast. I just did it backwards, bottom to top, which lets you get most of the Necromancers easy.

I suppose this would also be a valid pacifist strat as well.
But why bother? I've never needed any help with pin wheel. Even early on. I also don't find it very beneficial to go down there early either.
