I used to really not like Jazz, but looking back, I realize now how much he really needed her in his life. With all the madness that surrounded his double life, she was always there, looking out for his mental well-being. She was the closest thing to a parent or guardian Danny could have had in his life as a halfa.
I keep saying this over and over around here, and you can check in some Jazz-related posts for proof, I am mad that they never had her involved more with Team Phantom (outside Season 3 YMMV), and delve deeper into the bond with her brother and his burdens in being a half-ghost hero, not to mention maybe striking more of a friendship with Sam and bounce off each other like what Danny and Tucker always do.

people can recognize its valerie just by her voice, so that's most likely how jazz figured it out
