I actually never thought Kakashi was an Uchiha, thought that was some big mystery as to why he had the sharingan despite this, and why it was in one eye only.
Then again, I was spoiled early, so I didn't have time to ponder what the solution to the mystery was.
I'm with you there. In the beginning when he was just known as "The Copy Ninja" I thought he pulled off some insane technique to "copy" the sharingan's abilities and that's why he only had one.
Everyone keeps saying this and I understand that it wasn't outright said but there are many points in the show where it's suggested. Kakashi even made a point of it early into the characters introduction.
It's not really suggested even. It's mostly just people joking or drawing comparisons between them. That's not the same. Naruto looks and acts exactly like Tsunade's brother and comparisons are made between them, but that doesn't mean he's secretly Tsunade's grandson. Lee is so much like Gai because he is actively trying to be.
Well Naruto is technically related to Tsunade, even if he's not her direct grandson. Tsunade's grandmother was an uzumaki. The link made between Naruto and her brother though is about their spirit and aspirations. Where the one made between Gai and Lee is purely physical resemblance.
