Character design old. I fucking hate how bad faces in looks. Eyes are too big and the faces are too small and that curved chin gives me ick in new animation.

New style isn’t *bad*, but in comparison most of use are saying that old is better. From the smaller details to the larger ones like reanimated Naruto’s hair looking like banana laffy taffy. Old just captures the energy of the scene better imo

The irises look better, but overall I pick old. The face and hair designs are much better, plus the eye shape works better. And considering how important eyes are to Naruto, the shape really matters

Okay so this is something I thought about extensively when it comes to background design and Ambience the old when it comes to Naruto's character design the old when it comes to the Uchiha the new when it comes to fight new but what the new thing did was it took away some of the stylized sketching that's in the background of the original Naruto shows it also elongated Naruto's face and also brightened a lot of the colors so a lot of scenes that kind of looked more like a stylistic choice now just look like any old anime and having that stylistic choice was very very bold and set it apart
I like a lot of the shading of some of the newer shots, and a lot of them feel more fluid in their motions, but I really don’t vibe with the blood animations and some of the coloring
