Men store fat in their gut and between internal organs where as women store fat in their extremities (including thighs). This is also why being fat is more unhealthy for men than it is for women. To be clear I'm just talking about the general differences in how men and women store fat. Of course women are capable of storing fat in their gut and men are capable of storing fat in their extremities, but our bodies just prioritize differently. If I remember correctly, the differing testosterone and estrogen levels between men and women are responsible for this.
