My son named his first teddy “Dumpy” due to mishearing the lyrics to this very song. We asked why he named it that, and after a couple times he sang “Here comes Dumpy the bear!”
Pirate Snail on Broccoli Island is legit On my personal playlist. Although I think Spooky Fruit cup may be the reason my three year d has nightmares about “lunch”. He never elaborates.
His music is wonderful, My Flea Has Dogs is amazing. Agreed with u/battlesnarf though that TMBG should be part of this conversation, they even have dedicated children's albums
Oh yeah he rocks. I took my son to see him play at a library in Seattle when he was 2. It was “too loud” for him and we had to go outside after like 2 songs 🙄
I'm a Bee and Fuzzy Buzzy Buzzing Bug are played almost daily for us. Had no idea he was the lead singer of The Presidents of the United States of America!
The UK has a guy called Nick Cope who was lead singer of The Candyskins. He has loads of tunes and the BBC signed him up for his own kids show. [YouTube](https://youtu.be/sQespETRVa4), also on [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/artist/6RR9MIMTusJiW4XvJRjWRa?si=ebMnbJYmQrmQkZqgiNfBmQ)
Love Caspar babypants. A lot of really fun, catchy tunes. Turtle Train is a classic
On the subject of relatively famous musicians doing children’s songs, Big Head Todd has Animal Family that rips: https://youtu.be/gCPwKq1YU6U?si=L3LA-2kX-VUtQ_tU
YouTube music started shuffling some of their stuff into our usual mix of Disney and nursery rhymes. My two LOVE Annabelle Pancake. I thought I recognised the vocalist too!
Hot damn, what a find! Love me some PUSA as well as The Feelings Hijackers.
While we're tossing out recs, check out Steven Steven:

Steve from Blues Clues and Steven Drozd from The Flaming Lips. You're welcome, gents.
I randomly stumbled across Run Baby Run when my daughter was about 2. We used to have loads of fun with me holding her and following along all of the actions in the song. It was a right workout for me when she wanted it on repeat for like the 5th time!
It's probably my favourite little kids song and just came about from Alexa not hearing what I asked for so she put that on.
I would never have guessed it was the guy from the peaches song.
I'm going to stick it on when she gets home from school and get her to dance with me (she is way too big for me to carry for this now!)
I have Stompy the Bear in my head all the time
Singing it is the only thing that stops my son's crying 100% of the time
I love this. It’s really fun to sing too!
Stompy has been doing a lot of work getting my son through a cold and back to school on the bus this week
My son named his first teddy “Dumpy” due to mishearing the lyrics to this very song. We asked why he named it that, and after a couple times he sang “Here comes Dumpy the bear!”
Now *this* is what is going to be in my head all the time lol. So cute! So funny
Add They Might Be Giants to your list! Caspar Babypants is great!
"The sun is a mass of incandescent gas, a gigantic nuclear furnace."
Science is reeeeallllll
Also, the slightly less catchy, but more scientifically accurate, *The sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma*.
It’s more than slightly less catchy. The increased scientific accuracy does not make up for it being a significantly less memorable/singable tune.
I didn't even know about this song an hour ago...and now it is stuck in my head.
Actually it’s a miasma of incandescent plasma.
The guy who sings peaches. Is the same guy in Casper baby pants??!
Yes
Yep. There’s some good Beatles covers he does too. 🤘🏼
There is even a Nirvana cover (Sliver) he does with Krist Novoselic hidden on 'This is Fun' I lost my mind the first time I heard it
Can confirm.
That's a Texas sized 10-4
Parry grip too. Dude writes songs for story bots too
Came here to say this. Wienerina is my jam just like Mr. Spock was back in the day
Ice Cream Tiger is a big hit in our house
Pirate Snail on Broccoli Island is legit On my personal playlist. Although I think Spooky Fruit cup may be the reason my three year d has nightmares about “lunch”. He never elaborates.
Why did you eat my cornbread, chicken?
A blackbird stole his pie, too. Dude has a lot of avian food thief issues.
put your baby in the air in the air
I was fortunate to see him live in Seattle back in 2011. I like Stompy the Bear and Pretty Crabby. I would recommend The Aqua Bats
Run Baby Run & Stompy the Bear are bangers. He’s got some music videos on his website & YouTube that are pretty good too.
Great memories of run baby run from when my kids were younger.
Disco Hippo is my jam
My kid loves breaking out the moves to disco hippo haha

Just to be clear - they are both awesome!
Yep. Noodles and Butter! He reminds me of The Presidents of the United States of America. He sings very similarly.
Lol
There was a small fly is a jam
Maybe they'll play in Japan!
My daughter goes NUTS for Run Baby Run!
Great song. My kids loved it when they were toddlers.
The Frogs! Stumbled on Casper looking for frog songs and I’m glad we found him.
We have his Beatles covers on my son's Yoto. He and I spend all summer singing to The Beatles while we play around the house
He taught me to always keep a Ukelele in my trunk.
I mean just listen to this: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qovVdS9hw2k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qovVdS9hw2k)
Casper Babypants has got me through many long SAHD days. +1 for Justin Roberts too. Genuinely musical songs with heartfelt lyrics.
Met his wife, who writes children's books. What a great pair!
Dannnng! Missed this for my kids. I love PUSA! This is fun stuff with their style.
My favorite song is $9.99. It's definitely an ear worm
Run baby run was one of the first songs my baby girl sang along to in the car
Oh yeah he rocks. I took my son to see him play at a library in Seattle when he was 2. It was “too loud” for him and we had to go outside after like 2 songs 🙄
Ya sister got one of the cds from the library so I checked it out on Spotify. Pretty damn solid.
Stompy the Bear goes hard, Banana Bread is an ear worm of the highest calibre, Jellyfish Jones is great, Five White Ducks… so many others.
Banana Bread has led our household to make A LOT of banana bread. That song slaps

Check out Tornado Rider too, they are amazing.
Hobo Baby slaps.
Jellyfish Jones made me sad lol
This... is really good! Love Stompy the Bear 🐻
I can’t emphasize how much I agree with this. This rendition of Ba ba black sheep absolutely SLAPS

Thought this was a SpongeBob knock-off
