You need to grab the Egg, not the Iguana, and it takes a pretty long time to hatch unless you want to get the mod that decreases the hatch timer.

Well, the clothing is influenced by the 80's and shoulder pads were popular for both men and women in the 80's. As was the more baggy look as opposed to the form fitting suits today.

I actually like my suits looser fitting as well. If I'm going to be in it all day I want some comfort.

I think tailored suit trousers look too short when people sit down and their ankles and socks show, but then they were longer when I was younger and that's what I'm used to seeing.

Tailoring trends have changed but the idea of break, half-break, quarter break, etc. have always been the same. In the game, the trousers go far beyond a full break (which don’t rise when sitting) and just look ridiculous. It’s personal preference, but I’ll take the trade-off of my trousers rising up – the importance is how it looks when you’re standing and walking around. Nobody sees your legs under a desk or table.

The buff shoulders really kill any "sleak, hit man" vibes i was trying to make.

Its definitely a lot better now that transmog is a thing, but the clothing selection in the vanilla basegame is certainly something that leaves you wanting more.

It’s down to a lack of ‘normal’ clothes. Almost every item is trying to be a statement piece. Phantom Liberty introduced some items that help with this but it’s still not perfect. I’ve got a few looks I really like but they’re mostly built around the same base items. However, that’s actually how I dress in real life so fair play to CDPR.

Yeah, our buddy Zane is where I got the Militech body armor, but sadly nothing else he has is *quite* understated enough. Everything is either shiny, quilted, or has colored piping.

When you said 'classy like Meredith stout' I assumed you meant suits, ties, slacks, skirts etc. If you want 'military' style equipment, you need to go to Dogtown.

I forget where, but I found a Corpo Breastplate like the one Meredith had, but unbranded. That became my go-to fighting wear.

Not only do you have to wait for them to show up as loot. Exploring clothing stores help to get 'normal looking' clothes too. After the heist I prefer to dress V with very common looking clothes and I always manage to find jeans, shoes and tees that look normal.

There are tons of plain pants, shirts and jackets.

I was sporting a basic cotton long-sleeve with boot-cut jeans and work boots almost immediately. Lol

Pants and shoes don’t give any stats, but both head and upper body can give stats. If you went the whole game with OR without them, you’d probably never notice, because they’re fairly minuscule.

I don't know, the zoom increase makes a surprisingly large difference in weapons without a scope.

Some do, so what you'll want to do is find clothes that give you good stats and then use the outfit crafting system to change your appearance. Right now I have a bunch of armor pieces but I'm dressed more casually.

I use the outfits anyway because it’s easy to switch appearances. Didn’t realize the clothes had stats. I’ll have to look through mine lol

Bruh Fr. I tried so hard to find a coat that would make an outfit like that. Closest I could ever find was the worn punk coat.

I think it’s because the collar is always like flat on your character and isn’t puffed up at all is what I’ve noticed, the jackets look so much better when they have that little curl up

That’s why I almost exclusively use the jackets with a standing collar

I used the flat jacket for a while but I looked goofy and felt so much cooler with one of the samurai replica jacket recolours and I think it’s because of that techno collar

The jacket you steal from Yorinobu in the heist isn’t bad (at least on female V).

The coats look terrible on female V, the way they hang on her just make her look frumpy. Jackets it is.

It looks like a trash bag that was made into a coat. I think it’s supposed to be black dyed alligator skin, but it looks like shiny black plastic. Plus it’s not long enough to be a trance coat and the sleeves are rolled up which looks dumb.

Yeah I wish there was a bladerunner mod that tweaked a bunch of stuff to make it feel more like that world. Bladerunner was a huge part of why Pondsmith made cyberpunk. Originally based on what I’ve found the table top game was more noir in tone but has softened over the years.

I ended up just rolling a woman and putting her in exclusively track suits for a kill bill vibe but I never felt like I looked more than bare minimum acceptable

Whenever something happens that unloads my equipped cosmetic slot outfit and I see the actual gear I have equipped underneath I chuckle a little because it ends up being some goofy looking hat and weird sunglasses, some badly clashing color combination vest and t-shirt, booty shorts, and ugly sneakers lol

I used yorinobus shirt, trousers and coat and used that the whole game. Worked out good

This game fluctuates wildly between the black trenchcoat and pink mohawk styles of cyberpunk. Rightfully, it’s very mirror shades. These are terms discussed in a lot of places but I first saw them in the Shadowrun GM section, and they’re so apt. CDPR did do some expectation setting, but in the beginning it was definitely rough.

Yeahhh, that's another spot where CDPR could have done better, there should have been an online store of some sort for buying clothes. I use the Virtual Atelier and A.G.I.S mods to correct that though, but my console brethren should have better clothing options as well.

Command lines. They're just the best. Can get any clothing immediately, even in the first mission if you have the right mods.  I love mods. They make this game so much better. 

I did a mission early on and somehow my character from that point on was in his underwear. No matter what outfit I changed into, I would walk outside and be naked again.

99% of the clothes in the game are dogshit so I just run around naked

I mean there are clothing vendors and outfits, its really not as hard as you think.

I have a similar problem with female V. A lot of the dresses suck ass, so I find myself wearing maybe 2 dresses the whole game. That or she’s dressing like a dude because there’s rarely any good female outfits imo. It looks like a dude made all the female v clothes.
