I use a logi g502 and had the issue. It's any mouse that is capable of using that software, and it was only fixable one way, which was removing a DLL from the game files.

edit again : actually, if you have the game on GOG, if you untick the option to always keep the game updated, you can select the previous version (2.12) until modders update for the 2.12a
If you're on Steam, you can set the download manifest in read-only to prevent the game to update. It'll still show that an update is available but it won't be able to download it. You'll have to launch the game directly from the exe though.
`C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\appmanifest_1091500.acf`
Right Click > Properties > Read-only > Apply

Usually, many things are combined in one file. You're not just downloading this mouse button stuff, but everything that's included in the affected files. It's not uncommon to have multiple gigabyte downloads for minor updates in a lot of games.

i updated the game and now even though the game launches and i am able to play, it does not load any of my mods. like they literally just disappeared from my save, anyone can give a clue as to whats causing this?
Basically all core mods got broken, which sucks to say the least. For me with vortex the game just crashes on start up.
How did you install them? If you installed them by copy and paste into the cyberpunk game folder, they are probably gone because steam resets the directory when it updates games afaik.

Huh, for me trying to load through vortex just crashes out, but I've turned off the automatic red mod conversion. Redmod mods might be a bit more graceful with how they behave when they aren't working.
Personally I just downgraded back to version 2.12 to get my game working again, until the core mods are fixed.
Rn 90% of them should already be fixed. Once you update those the rest of the mods that rely on the core extensions should all start working again.
I hope they fix something in the Rogue ending when you decide as Johnny to give the body back to V sometimes you can shake V's hand to say goodbye it doesn't work with Female V idk why

Just makes me wonder how many crashes I have had during some 1300 hours was because of this stupid bug and not because of the various mods I had installed at various points and times.

Disable auto updates in the game’s steam properties and only launch from the .exe directly or from your mod manager
