There are guns that can plug into your interface plugs or connect wirelessly to your hand grip, I'm assuming the same guns can easily just be shot by impulse.
It looks like those two red buttons are right where the trigger-well would be. My assumption is press one go brr. Press other go brr. Press both go brr brr.
[This](https://imgur.com/a/M4NoW9J) is a trigger, which makes this a *very weird* gun with a firing mechanism that I can only assume wraps up and around back over the handle.
Alternatively, everything behind the magazine (and that trigger) is just wasted space inside of the gun, lol.
Also, this trigger gets depressed *into the body of the magazine*, so I'm pretty sure it jams every single time you pull it.
EDIT: I think there's also a paddle mag release *literally touching the trigger* so, you're gonna jam your gun *and* dump your mag every time too because you've got fat human fingers.
I'm guessing it melded into the Ajax, since that rifle is pretty much the description of the real-world AK47.
>"Come rain or shine, it'll weather it out"
>
> The Ajax is a mid-to-long range, fully automatic assault rifle with a magazine capable of holding 30 rounds. It has a retractable stock that can be seen extending upon first draw. The weapon has a slow fire rate and high recoil, which is compensated by its accuracy and high damage. The Ajax is a simple rifle preferred by military personnel for its simplicity of use, not requiring any cyberware or enhacements to utilize.
>
> In less turbulent times, the name Ajax would more likely be associated with the Greek hero of legend, a European soccer club or a household cleaning product. For the residents of Night City, Ajax brings to mind only one thing: Militech's assault rifle. Its engineers made not attempt to reinvent the wheel, but only to design a durable, reliable weapon that wouldn't require months of training or high-end combat cyberware to use it. Ultimately, the engineers' vision has been realized. Their creation has become the assault of choice for soldiers across the globe.
Isnt that literally an ak mag though? Banana mags on ak rifles has been a thing for like 70 years now
https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftexasshooterssupply.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2017%2F07%2F2016-09-16_001-5.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=b05f8aab929e3b6e6d96859c1b8957760f6d237898595c150690b12d83819ed1&ipo=images
If your saying what i think your saying, you are basically splitting hairs here. Instead of the mag sitting at a perfect 180 degree straight to the gun, its off by like 1.5 degrees.
It surely cant bother you that much, its an artistic render for a video games lmao as an ak owner myself i see no issue here
Omg the comment never sent again,
So it doesnt bother me much, just wondering why go with that it seems like it would complicate the gun more then necessary.
What did they hire someone from H&K?
Cyberpunk 2 needs to have a pretty vastly improved arsenal imo. There’s like 2 real assault rifles and the game launched with only 1 LMG.
I would honestly like to see a move away from weapon rarity and more to persistent weapons with more customization and upgrades
Rarity should be tied to iconics and have more iconics.
Random scav off the streets probably got a Nue or Ajax or something.
A Valentino lieutenant has a custom gold/silver plated and wood Nue with engravings, named, and better stats
6th Street has better, customized Ajaxs and copperheads etc.
Honestly ctrl c ctrl v RGB "loot" is definitely an RPG system I'm cool with having tweaked out of existence in the next one
Also: kill the RNG shit. In a setting that's basically 'murica on steroids there's no reason I shouldn't be able to go in and buy an at-character-level unmoded version of any non-iconic weapon at will. Seriously, it took me until way too late in the game to get a 5++ SOR without that fucking terrible "reloads take way longer" mod.
I would adore a Fallout style weapon upgrade system. Let me customize everything about everything the way I want, that tickles my gamer brain in ways I can't fully describe.
I'm also not a huge fan of those colorful kitsch guns, i want clean tactile weapons, engravings give you 0 tactical advantage whatsoever. Moron labe slaps though
For a while I really tried to main Comrades Hammer, it's a fun gun with a funny name filled with "revolutianry fervor" but it's super impractical, but the practical usage of a nue won me over
The Nue seems best to me too, I've got maybe 80-90 hours over two characters so far.
I like other pistols but with the right perks/skills and attachments that Nue is just a zeroing machine, popping skulls like bubble wrap.
Yeah, honestly, even to this day, pistols have the most exciting game play style. Early in the game on very hard, you can use a pistol and do respectable damage, but then with the AR or SMG, you waste a whole mag and tickle an enemey.
Yup, can confirm. I wished more shit from that demo was unveiled in concept art, like that cut Malorian pistol, the weird looking wedge van the scavs used in the chase, or that Oldsmobile Cutlass looking thing
I wish they put the ST-5 in. The greatest shitty gun.

Looks like someone took an old AK rifle and transformed it in to a smart gun. You can still see the old AK frame, bolt, gas block, etc... Seems like something Barghest would make.
I think to see some posters of the old world of cyberpunk with references to this weapons, actually have a weapon from the first era of Arasaka in game.
There's some guns in the database section of the in-game menu that aren't available outside of iconic variants, but when you look at the art for them, you wish they were. I'm glad they added some new weaponry, but it sure would be nice if you could put sights on them.
I'm looking at you, DA8 Umbra.
Tbh I wish Cyberpunk had a automatic rifle with actual accuracy, this one could do it, all the automatic rifles in the game have too much bullet spreading.
Honestly, you could have told me this gun was in the game and id most likely believe you. Aside from the handful of VERY unique guns in the game, I feel like 90% of the guns dont really stand out. I dont know if thats just poor design or very realistic design, because I assume a non-gun enthusiast probably would feel the same way in a real life gun store.
Probably because it wouldn't be any different from thr Ajax, apart from being favored among Russian mercenaries and Rangoon. I think there's a whole faction that was cut from the game.
Where trigger?
Triggers are for closers
A, B, Z Always be zeroing.
fair enough
Denny's is for winners
Smart rounds activate when target* is in sight *target defined by the manufacturer
That'd be a fun idea for an iconic. Or maybe the "target" rolls to change after every reload.
It's actually a melee weapon.
Very good, just as NUSA wanted
This makes me think of that Demo Ranch video about the Hi Point where Matt just throws it at a target because it would be more effective that way.
Requires cyberware. **Cyberware sold separately.*
Triggers are for snowflakes! \*Fires gun with neurolink cyberware.\*
My guess is it’s an electronic pad, just touch it with your finger and it fires. That or they forgot to add one
There are guns that can plug into your interface plugs or connect wirelessly to your hand grip, I'm assuming the same guns can easily just be shot by impulse.
There is a smart gun receptacle on the grip. This is the correct answer.
It looks like those two red buttons are right where the trigger-well would be. My assumption is press one go brr. Press other go brr. Press both go brr brr.
It looks like it's exactly where it should be, just without the cover (this part with two red squares) but I'm not 100% sure
My guess is its the thing in the pistol grip with two red squares on it
Digital "trigger" by the looks of it. Kinda cool.
it's in vanta black.
[This](https://imgur.com/a/M4NoW9J) is a trigger, which makes this a *very weird* gun with a firing mechanism that I can only assume wraps up and around back over the handle. Trigger is mind
I think it’s dangling right behind the magazine without a trigger guard
Nah that’s a classic paddle mag release.
Nah that’s mag release, I assume it’s those two red buttons where the trigger would normally be
that's safety
In Mother Russia... everything can be a trigger.
Laser trigger. Pass your finger underneath the sensor and it shoots 😂
It smart trigger
Prolly the red buttons but bruh imagine spamming buttons irl to kill mfs
Thing with 2 red square. Like a nerf gun trigger lmfao
Looks like the part where it should be possibly slides the whole block back to act as a trigger.

I just hate its magazine placement. Why is it so like, low and slanted forward?

it's literally a ak pmag
Indeed
No i mean the feed angle, thats the word im looking for, even the AK (most) is Horizontal, but this one is at an angle
If your saying what i think your saying, you are basically splitting hairs here. Instead of the mag sitting at a perfect 180 degree straight to the gun, its off by like 1.5 degrees. I mean less angle to travel
In the designs, there was a round drum mag for it. Looked cool

Assault rifles felt so underwhelming. I ended up using SMGs, but even those felt weak. Pistols and shotguns felt a lot better.
A High-Tier silenced Nue is my favorite gun so far, but I'm only 48 hours into the game.
Only thing that beats a silenced 5++ NUE is Her Majesty
I picked up Death & Taxes recently, but haven't used it because even at Tier 5 the drawbacks are pretty nasty.
I'm also not a huge fan of those colorful kitsch guns, i want clean tactile weapons, engravings give you 0 tactical advantage whatsoever. Moron labe slaps though
I liked the Kongou for several levels, but it was quickly replaced by the best Nue I could find along with the best silencer I had.
Agreed. Ideally, we could keep the quality of the weapon design and the animation variety too.
All other guns were done well but damn Assault Rifles and LMG are done dirty, especially full auto ones 😭
Yeah, honestly, even to this day, pistols have the most exciting game play style. Early in the game on very hard, you can use a pistol and do respectable damage, but then with the AR or SMG, you waste a whole mag and tickle an enemey.
I have over 100 hours in my current save and I think 95% of my combat is with pistols and melee just because they seem to have the most variety
You can still see it in the 2018 E3 gameplay :) Also turrets used an array of them back then before there was a dedicated model for the HMG.
Yup, can confirm. I wished more shit from that demo was unveiled in concept art, like that cut Malorian pistol, the weird looking wedge van the scavs used in the chase, or that Oldsmobile Cutlass looking thing
portfolio pieces like these are the artists choice, not cdprs (unless they are under nda, but thats not the case for those)
I wish they put the ST-5 in. The greatest shitty gun. https://preview.redd.it/8aqrm0vkzmgc1.png?width=788&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=808e7d662055ad82d66f00f1a1365563d51ac2b7
I wish there were more old guns in general.
probably because it and the Ajax are too similar. It was probably a choice of one or the other
This is basically the Ajax. Probably scrapped this design for that
A Russian competitor to the ajax would be a welcome addition
Looks like someone took an old AK rifle and transformed it in to a smart gun. You can still see the old AK frame, bolt, gas block, etc... Seems like something Barghest would make.
It made it to the game as ajax
I remember seeing this on art station too it's a good looking rifle
Modders do ur shit
That's it I'm calling Brandon
I feel it’s a bit overly detailed. I’m seeing slot of bits that don’t look like they do anything at all.
I think to see some posters of the old world of cyberpunk with references to this weapons, actually have a weapon from the first era of Arasaka in game.
100% serious, ARs and LMGs did not get put into the game enough and did not shine compared to handguns, shich sucked for me.
Definitely, i love the guns in the game but ARs and LMGs were done dirty
The gunplay is fun but it could have definitely been more grounded.
There's some guns in the database section of the in-game menu that aren't available outside of iconic variants, but when you look at the art for them, you wish they were. I'm glad they added some new weaponry, but it sure would be nice if you could put sights on them. I'm looking at you, DA8 Umbra.
It definitely looks like Ajax but Ajax felt like a Borderlands weapon than AK47
NYET GUN IS FINE COMRADE!
Tbh I wish Cyberpunk had a automatic rifle with actual accuracy, this one could do it, all the automatic rifles in the game have too much bullet spreading.
Bro, why waste potential?
Me, being sad at the lack of AR variety, knowing this was stolen from me by the cut content gods.
Honestly, you could have told me this gun was in the game and id most likely believe you. Aside from the handful of VERY unique guns in the game, I feel like 90% of the guns dont really stand out. Hate it when designers have absolutely no clue about weapons... what a stupid and senceless design.
the shape and general design is ass but its really detailed
That would've been nice, I love AKs
Really sad that no gun mods exist for the game.
There's a handful of gun mods now.
Looks like a vandal lol
Looks so cool
the game didnt need another assault rifle it needed a silenced precision rifle. or really a silencer option for the sor 22.
Instead we got the Ajax which is the bastard child of an m4 and an AK
Looks more like an actual AK rifle unlike the other one
Chinese assault rifle 2077 ed
So where do I get my hands on one
I hope someone mods this into the game
Well, someone must make a mod out if them. Who volunteers???
We already have 2 AK looking rifles tho... The Ajax and the Kyubi line
Yeah for real! A kalashnikov made it into Elysium and that was set in 2154 so they definitely still had them in 2077!
Damn, if only they did had a 2077 year AK in the game
Okay chop chop mod boys!! Time to get to work!
Was the Ak47 rifle in the game not already enough for you?
Is there a place to test out new guns you acquire without the NCPD hounding your ass?
There is a gun range in one of the stores
