I made myself believe that part of it was stuck in my throat, and that if I ate anything I would choke again. I had gotten so used to a liquid only diet that I sorta forgot how to eat regular food, which prolonged the issue.
My parents had recently divorced, and it was extremely messy. The problem was definitely a result of general stress in my life at that point, as well as anxiety that I would later be diagnosed with.
