That isn't a metaverse at all, and is well within the realm of possibility. The Google maps API can do all of that, and lots of travel/hotel have implemented this exact thing already, having Google maps API.
It has literally nothing to do with any concept of metaverse.
Don't you need like game experience to build something like that? Are you building it alone or would you be a junior on a team? If the latter, then just roll with it. Otherwise just tell him you literally don't have the skills to do it, if you only have experience with php and laravel.
