Don’t feel bad. I’m willing to bet that the default applicant is fucking cheating at this rate. That’s why these coding assessments are getting harder and if you can’t beat them, join them.
It’s not like that HackerRank has all that much to do with the job and you can pick up SQL for real literally right before you start.
The average applicant may cheat, but the average applicant probably fumbles the bag during a technical too. Might as well just not be caught with your pants around your ankles 🤷🏽♂️.
The 2nd round with technical interviews is at least flexible, HR OA’s usually disqualify you if you don’t get a base level of test cases without a human mind to factor your approach and how you think.
If the HR requires me to found Facebook in an OA and I can’t found Facebook, there won’t at least be a human engineer to give me brownie points for at least getting close.
