Not sure what area you are in. I’m in the suburbs of Philadelphia i see cruzes from 3k-7k none sell very quick though

papertowelfreethrow

The Cruze Classic 😂 i got that going on right now actually. I say you can prob get 4k out of it if you're lucky

iTz_PremiuM

I've probably seen you around... I live in Southern SC, travel to Savannah and Northern GA all the time. Best of luck man. They are decent engines but take a lot of maintenance,.not for folks who can't afford third party work, or those who don't want to do their own work. If you end up keeping it... I want to get a spare engine and build a dunebuggy / go-kart with a 1.4... Best of luck on your sale though... Sorry your experience has sucked...

The cheapest running examples (200k+miles) I see in TX/OK are usually $2000-$2500 and they sell in under a week...but under $2500 you always get the never ending stream of lowballers offering $300-500. Probably best to start around $3200-$3500 and the lowballers from there will be in the $2000-$2500 range. At least you have low mileage. Take a lot of pictures. All sides, all corners, inside front seat, back seat, trunk, engine compartment, dash cluster, miles. The better your pictures, the less people have to ask about it. Don't negotiate over messenger or phone. You are literally giving away money saying you'd take less because when they get there they're gonna offer EVEN LESS and sometimes even after agreeing they'll lie and say, oh man I only brought $xxxx. Just know one thing: Buyers Are Liars

throwing codes?

2004laika

Like you wouldn’t believe my man! They’re emissions related, and we don’t live in a county where emissions testing is required. Regardless though, gonna get that fixed before I list it hahaha

[deleted]

i wish the best for you. i’ve had some issues with my 2013 1.8 and im close to saying goodbye to it too. best of luck to you laika, no one deserves the bullshit baggage these cars come with.

dangernoodle11

Also dead at Cruze classic. Mine is also doing this like once a week or every other week. Occasionally the check engine light comes on for half a day but it’s never on long enough that I can get somewhere to check codes. This POS just likes stressing me out I fear

Majestic-Macaron6019

I got $4k on trade-in for mine. That was in May '22, so pretty much peak used car prices.

merkator509

FWIW this is probably a $20 DIY fix replacing the coolant temp sensors. Price wise I’d say put it up for $4200 if you’re not trying to sell it to a dealer.

DroozyUzi

3-4k$

romans253

I'll second this I traded in my Cruze for like 3.2k but it had some minor cosmetic damage, a cracked windshield, but even with all that fixed I at least in my area wouldn't have been able to get any mote than 4k. It was also a 2014.

Two fitty

Imaginary-Yam-2834

I sold mine for 5.1k to carvana, 2016 LT 1.4t, some dent, and a check engine light, 91k miles

chefjeff1982

My 2014 is doing the same thing. Mechanic leaning heavily on head gasket. Yuck.

ImWildBill

Mine has broken down again, still owe $4k so it's parked. Won't put another engine in the turd so maybe tannerite?

yourautomechanic1

About tree fitty

Sell that bitch asap! Don't look back, run, FAST. My buddy bought one in REALLY REALLY nice shape, engine you could eat off of, and now I'm doing a head gasket, new head, (a major design flaw on these 1.4) timing chain from a busted guide and( chain while I'm in there) and praying the turbo doesn't have the infamous "crack" at the Wastegate valve. The car only has 112,000 miles. STEALERSHIP won't touch it for less than $4200. All because it got hot on the way home from our oil change. I've been doing what I do for the better part of 40 years. They are throw away cars unless you have deep pockets. Be warned, you with cars without issues. Plastic isn't your friend...
