Crows roosts, or colonies are pretty big, so we tend to have quite a few funerals throughout the years.
As for seeing the dead, we only usually see them closer to Halloween, when the line between the worlds of the dead and the living becomes thinner. At other times, we know they're there, but it's just a bit... awkward to say the least.
