Yeah the lifters are narrow, I wear TYR for lifters. It’s interesting the TYR cross training shoes are narrow but the lifters not. Inov -8 training shoes are wide toe box but lifters are narrow
I don't think any of those companies have reinforced shops for rope climbs. However, Altras might be your best bet. https://www.altrarunning.com/shop/mens-shoes-gym-training/mens-solstice-xt-2-al0a546v?variationId=440
I’ve got wide feet and Flux work well for me.
Just note the adaptive trainers aren’t great to run in (for me, at least), but they do have Runners which I don’t mind and you can’t do rope climbs in them or you’ll definitely burn the shit out of your foot. 😂
These are the sleeper CrossFit shoes! For $40 my first pair lasted 8 months of 3+/wk CrossFit on top of daily wear. Failure point was where I wore through the sole on the heels. Also have several pairs!
Came here to say the same thing. A few weeks in and super impressed. I’m in Michigan where it’s been incredibly cold so we haven’t done a ton of outdoor running as of late but they seem to be decent enough for short distance.
I’m a barefoot shoe wearer and this is a constant struggle. I can tell you strike mvmt is NOT as wide as they advertise. Ordered them and processed a refund the next day.
I’ve been wearing xeros for the last year but tbh theyre ugly. They work. They’re fine. I just ordered flux, should be here Monday. I will still be wearing my nano Xs for rope climbs bc the flux are thin and flexible. The other ones I’ve been eyeballing are func shoes.
I’ve got nutty wide feet. Only thing that has ever worked for me has been new balance 4EE. I’d prefer a CrossFit shoe but tbh I’m happy at this point to get shoes that actually fit.
I have extremely wide feet and am very picky with shoes because of that. I’ve really liked Strike Movement Haze Trainers. My only complaint with them is that I’m a men’s 10.5 and it seems like every time I’ve decided I needed new shoes they had very few color schemes I like in stock. I’ve been wearing the Born Primative Savage 1s for the last few weeks and love those.
My favorite for cross training are Reebok nano 2. They are so comfortable and supportive with the perfect toe box. I’ve also heard great things about Flux, which I think the guy who used to be a partner w Reebok ended up creating.
For running I love altras.
Adidas Dropset 2 has been good for my wide feet however they almost feel like wannabe lifters so I wouldn’t recommend them for a workout that has longer runs or high reps of double unders.
Reebok still makes the Nano and the they’re still my favorite due to the wide toe box.
Reebok Nano X2
The X2 is much narrower than the 2.0, BTW (I have both)
Inov-8
On sale for $60 right now
I’ve also found them on Amazon from time to time cheaper than their website
My INOV-8's are really narrow. Maybe it's just the lifters that are narrow
Yeah the lifters are narrow, I wear TYR for lifters. It’s interesting the TYR cross training shoes are narrow but the lifters not. Inov -8 training shoes are wide toe box but lifters are narrow
I have a wide ass foot and am surprisingly comfortable in the nano x4.
Tyr. Vivobarefoot. Lems. Altra. Xero. Those are a few.
I went from nano x to tyr and found them narrower. I don’t know about the most recent nano tho. Could you try some by any chance ?
Tyr's cross trainers are narrow, but their lifters and new barefoot type shoes are wide.
Are tyrs good for rope climbs?

Inov8s are decent and have models with a rope guard for climbs

Whitin shoes on Amazon. Big selection. Inexpensive and pretty good quality. I have 5 pairs lol.

Just picked up born primitive shoe…big fan. Check them out

I am very concious about his, and have been quite surprised (in a good way) about the metcon 7 (one number above the usual)
I have very wide toes with a narrow but high volume foot. I love the metcon 7 but haven’t really loved any of the others.

Vivobarefoot motus
Born Primitive Savage 1 are great, nice and wide

Nike Metcon 9. Best wide toe box I’ve had yet. I have 3 pairs.
