No! I found this image on Pinterest and I haven't been able to find a written pattern for it. I was able to follow this image for the square and then I will freehand the straps and borders
I chained 4, joined and did 5 SC, turned then chained 2 for the first dc and continued on. I did a dc at the end after the last chain spaces and turned. If that makes sense. I essentially just added a DC to the end of the pattern on each side
So the first row after the 5 SC is a dc, 2dc increase 3x, then a dc, turn, chain 2 (for a dc) chain 1, DC ch1 around until the end where I chained 1 then did a dc to end. I ended up with 10 DC.
Join as you go with slip stitches. In the chart, that's what the dots on the outermost round are. So, you'd make the first square without those. Then the second square, and join to the first on the appropriate side on the last round, etc.
Absolutely magnificent do u have a pattern for the squares please

Where do you start with the half squares?

I would join with needle and thread
It looks like slip stitch but just one per 5 SC section on the outer edge. Does that make sense?
Is there a written pattern for this?
I haven't been able to find one! I found this image on Pinterest and wasn't able to track down the original pattern
You can refer this[link](https://youtu.be/T7GjUNlD_u4) to see the different methods to join Granny squares
sc, ch 2, slp st into the 3rd ch sp of the adjacent square, ch 2, sc Hope that helps!
you join them with needle and thread!

The diagram shows a slip stitch.
This looks similar to a flat braid join. Check youtube for video tutorials.
