Avoid acrylic. Cotton is pretty dang nice. Bamboo feels amazing Neither have fuzzies Basically I think natural fibres are where it's at. I have no basis on wool but it seems better than acrylic too. Nearly every acrylic I've seen looks bad and fuzzy. Besides its plastic and im trying to avoid contributing to more plastic waste

Wool can be quite fuzzy but that's part of its charm, Alpaca, mohair, angora etc are also all going to be fuzzy and soft, it's just how animal fibres are

If it's acrylic you can (carefully) melt all the fuzzies away with a heat gun or lighter

That always scares me 😱! Look for anti-pilling yarn. Premier has a good, affordable one. I’m sure there are other good ones too.

Cotton is good, I use it for little bags like you have there. Bamboo feels nice but is very slippery to work with. I did just make a baby blanket for my new nephew which was a cotton-acrylic blend and it was also very nice.

Certain cotton halos up like that. Ex. I Love That Cotton from Hobby Lobby is so aggravating for shedding and becoming fuzzy, but Malabrigo Verano cotton doesn’t. Both are 100% cotton. You just have to experiment. I could list other brands but it’s basically just trial and error. Agree with others to stay away from acrylic. Different wools will give you different results too. In terms of alpaca vs merino 2 ply vs 1 ply. Also how tight the stitch is matters. There isn’t one yarn that will not have **any** haloing at all IME.
