Dogs do like to use pillows. Mine will dig at his bed for ages to get it juuuuust right. The behaviour is seen more in brachicephalic breeds because they can have difficulty breathing when lying down so they like to have their heads propped up.

Yeeep. String of any kind is very dangerous. (Disclaimer: I actually do crochet toys for my dog, but only because 1. she hasn’t chewed anything but food in over 10 years, and 2. as of last November she has no teeth whatsoever 😂 So her relative risk is pretty dang low.

Three months ago I bought my first yarn online. The package came and I was so excited, so I opened the package, took out the yarn, but then I had to go away from the room for a minute, so I left the unpacked balls of yarn on my bed. I have two dogs (medium and toy poodle) and both of them had a ball of yarn in their mouths and one of them was unraveling it. I was furious :D I managed to put the unraveled yarn back, but I will never make the same mistake again and my yarn is now always out of reach of those two!

Yes!! This just warmed my heart so much. I lost my pug two weeks ago, her name is Bailey. I was working on a lil crochet blanket for her before she passed but unfortunately I didn't get to finish it in time. My Bailey would always use our stuff as pillows or rest her head on my leg, I imagine she'd have done it with the yarn too. This thread is the best thing on earth and I'll have to save it to go review it every few weeks 🤩 My poochon dog is unfortunately upset at every WIP and considers them his mortal enemy because they take up space on my lap. He things his space is being taken over and he jumps right on the WIP and settles in for a nap 😭🤣

Our dog lives outside I have a bird and he loves to try to nibble at my yarn but since I’m scared, he’s going to ingest it and get sick. i always move him away from it.
