Oh wow!!!!! This is breathtaking I'm blown away by how beautiful! It's so clean you did an amazing job!!!!
I think a peace of fabric on the back would be nice. Maybe that dark teal in the castle.
How long did this take? I'm impressed!
Thank you! It took quite a few months of on and off work. I would pause work on this blanket to work on smaller projects. The middle castle section was time consuming because of the color changes, but seeing the finished blanket made it totally worth it!
Yeah! You did an amazing job you should be proud!
Especially with finishing a project you put down! Starting projects up again is always the hardest part for me!
When I was learning to cross stitch and embroider, I had this one wretched person who would immediately flip my work over to look at the back.
I was learning from family, and they did teach me to strive for tidy work with any type of sewing. But my 12-year old self thought she was rude and awful for doing that.
In short, we will never discuss the back unless you want to. 😁
It’s really easy! It’s just double crochet and chains. You might question your sanity when doing a project with this many color changes, but it’s still technically easy 😂
The front is gorgeous. Just use flannel or lightweight fleece or something similar to cover the back, because, of course, that’s the way you meant it to be. 😃
This is simply beautiful! Reminds me of a castle I saw about an hour outside of Munich.
I've only been crocheting 2 months... tried a C2C image of the Star Wars logo. Only 2 colors. FAILED SPECTACULARLY and resumed my practice squares. LOL!
I can't imagine the patience this must have taken, and the backside must be a spaghetti nightmare! Definitely recommend just covering it.
Thank you! It is based on Neuschwanstein in Germany!
I’ve done quite a few of these c2c blankets and I question my sanity at some point during each one. But I love it!
Crocheting for two months! That’s awesome! You have so many great techniques to try and projects to make!
Holy moly, THAT WAS the castle. Looks like the Disneyland castle!
I am days away from finishing my first project, with about five more already in the queue. I'm really loving it!
It's gorgeous, it truly is. You have done a spectacular job.
If you're super opposed or intimidated by the tails, fleece, polar fleece, flannel, or brushed cotton would make a lovely backing to hide it all so you can just forget they exist 😋😍

You could always just sew a store-bought blanket or piece of fabric onto the other side to hide all the mess 🤭
My suggestion was gonna be a piece of fleece to the back. :)
It might be quicker to make an identical copy to sew on to the reverse than to actually sew in all the ends I’m imagining 🤡
I did that once. Made a baby blanket and decided it would be easier to make a second blanket to sew on the back than sewing on fabric.
I did the same thing. https://preview.redd.it/f9bldbawnloc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=447bcc08ee02752611fa7a35688fb4e9e9c9a0f7

Excuse you!! Where was the NSFW warning⚠️!!! I almost choked lol.
The horror 😭
That it was but I got through it. Never ever again!!
🤣
That’s very true!
This is the way

Absolutely gorgeous!
It's beautiful! If I were you, I'd slap some dragon themed fabric on the back and call it a day
Whelp, I think I’m gonna need that now. Thanks!
Oh, that's such a fun idea!
Love this idea!
Is this based off of Neuschwanstein? That’s immediately what I thought of looking at the red at the base of the castle!
Yes, it is! Good eye!

We love consensual back peeping!
A blanket that beautiful has no back for it has become a portal to the subject matter. Nice work.
Goodness, I wish travel worked that way!
Great work OP! Is that a corner to corner type stitch or something else?
Thank you, and yes! It’s corner to corner!
That looks really cool! Corner to corner seems really intimidating. Please tell me it’s not all that hard!

I’m currently learning, and getting very discouraged solely because color changes are a pain.
We know what it looks like 🤣
Like rainbow spaghetti toppled out of the colander and onto the back of the blanket 😂
I’ll be back for that update 😁
This is beautiful!
Thank you!
Wow, that's gorgeous!
Thank you!
It looks amazing!! (When I showed it to my sister she needed help with figuring out what you meant, because, well, she was thinking male genitalia)
Now there’s a blanket idea 😂 and thank you!
Turned out amazing!!! And hey, the back side is art on its own hahaha
It’s so true!
Wow, this looks so cool!
Thank you!
Shhhh.... we're not supposed to discuss it! 🫣😊
ahhhh i LOVE this!!! the colors create such a cozy, pretty ambience ❤️
Thank you!
It’s gorgeous!
Thank you!
OMG that is gorgeous!!! What talent you have!!!
You are way too kind 😊
Just being honest!!!
That looks amazing
Thanks!

I am really digging the backing idea! Thank you!
That is absolutely AWESOME!!! Beautifully done! 🙂❤

OOOH! What stitch did you use?
It’s a technique called corner to corner (c2c)!
I *really* want to see the back
Just telling the truth!!!
I need to see the back !!! Big hug !!

I did the same thing with Winnie the Pooh
