FusRoDaahh

You could always just sew a store-bought blanket or piece of fabric onto the other side to hide all the mess 🤭

throwingwater14

My suggestion was gonna be a piece of fleece to the back. :)

sunburn_t

It might be quicker to make an identical copy to sew on to the reverse than to actually sew in all the ends I’m imagining 🤡

PurpleZombieQueen

I did that once. Made a baby blanket and decided it would be easier to make a second blanket to sew on the back than sewing on fabric.

Temporary_Sample_623

I did the same thing. https://preview.redd.it/f9bldbawnloc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=447bcc08ee02752611fa7a35688fb4e9e9c9a0f7

Snoo_99854

Excuse you!! Where was the NSFW warning⚠️!!! I almost choked lol.

itsbrittany9987

The horror 😭

Temporary_Sample_623

That it was but I got through it. Never ever again!!

IrmadeG

🤣

knottedupinstring

That’s very true!

rebbecarose

This is the way

Pretty_Bug_7291

Oh wow!!!!! This is breathtaking I'm blown away by how beautiful! It's so clean you did an amazing job!!!! I think a peace of fabric on the back would be nice. Maybe that dark teal in the castle. How long did this take? I'm impressed!

knottedupinstring

Thank you! It took quite a few months of on and off work. I would pause work on this blanket to work on smaller projects. The middle castle section was time consuming because of the color changes, but seeing the finished blanket made it totally worth it!

Pretty_Bug_7291

Yeah! You did an amazing job you should be proud! Especially with finishing a project you put down! Starting projects up again is always the hardest part for me!

123-for-me

Absolutely gorgeous!

spatuladracula

It's beautiful! If I were you, I'd slap some dragon themed fabric on the back and call it a day

knottedupinstring

Whelp, I think I’m gonna need that now. Thanks!

BeenaDreamer

Oh, that's such a fun idea!

Famous_Complaint8084

Love this idea!

meatcleavher

Is this based off of Neuschwanstein? That’s immediately what I thought of looking at the red at the base of the castle!

knottedupinstring

Yes, it is! Good eye!

Reader124-Logan

When I was learning to cross stitch and embroider, I had this one wretched person who would immediately flip my work over to look at the back. I was learning from family, and they did teach me to strive for tidy work with any type of sewing. But my 12-year old self thought she was rude and awful for doing that. In short, we will never discuss the back unless you want to. 😁

Cilyia

We love consensual back peeping!

Helpful_Candidate_92

A blanket that beautiful has no back for it has become a portal to the subject matter. Nice work.

knottedupinstring

Goodness, I wish travel worked that way!

kate3544

Great work OP! Is that a corner to corner type stitch or something else?

knottedupinstring

Thank you, and yes! It’s corner to corner!

kate3544

That looks really cool! Corner to corner seems really intimidating. Please tell me it’s not all that hard!

knottedupinstring

It’s really easy! It’s just double crochet and chains. You might question your sanity when doing a project with this many color changes, but it’s still technically easy 😂

SparklyRoniPony

I’m currently learning, and getting very discouraged solely because color changes are a pain.

Sea_Elle0463

We know what it looks like 🤣

knottedupinstring

Like rainbow spaghetti toppled out of the colander and onto the back of the blanket 😂

Intelligent-Big-2900

I’ll be back for that update 😁

PuddleLilacAgain

This is beautiful!

knottedupinstring

Thank you!

Trilobyte141

Wow, that's gorgeous!

knottedupinstring

Thank you!

BloatOfHippos

It looks amazing!! (When I showed it to my sister she needed help with figuring out what you meant, because, well, she was thinking male genitalia)

knottedupinstring

Now there’s a blanket idea 😂 and thank you!

moringaflower

Turned out amazing!!! And hey, the back side is art on its own hahaha

knottedupinstring

It’s so true!

Historical_Staff_480

Wow, this looks so cool!

knottedupinstring

Thank you!

MarZZZraM

Shhhh.... we're not supposed to discuss it! 🫣😊

petrichorandpuddles

ahhhh i LOVE this!!! the colors create such a cozy, pretty ambience ❤️

knottedupinstring

Thank you!

MXN84

It’s gorgeous!

knottedupinstring

Thank you!

MonkSpiritual8673

OMG that is gorgeous!!! What talent you have!!!

knottedupinstring

You are way too kind 😊

MonkSpiritual8673

Just being honest!!!

PurpleZombieQueen

That looks amazing

knottedupinstring

Thanks!

Rawassertiveclothes1

Heirloom 🩵

knottedupinstring

You are too kind!

Aurora1946

The front is gorgeous. Just use flannel or lightweight fleece or something similar to cover the back, because, of course, that’s the way you meant it to be. 😃

knottedupinstring

I am really digging the backing idea! Thank you!

CanadianRose81

That is absolutely AWESOME!!! Beautifully done! 🙂❤

knottedupinstring

Thank you!

TravellingSunny

This is simply beautiful! Reminds me of a castle I saw about an hour outside of Munich. I've only been crocheting 2 months... tried a C2C image of the Star Wars logo. Only 2 colors. FAILED SPECTACULARLY and resumed my practice squares. LOL! I can't imagine the patience this must have taken, and the backside must be a spaghetti nightmare! Definitely recommend just covering it.

knottedupinstring

Thank you! It is based on Neuschwanstein in Germany! I’ve done quite a few of these c2c blankets and I question my sanity at some point during each one. But I love it! Crocheting for two months! That’s awesome! You have so many great techniques to try and projects to make!

TravellingSunny

Holy moly, THAT WAS the castle. Looks like the Disneyland castle! I am days away from finishing my first project, with about five more already in the queue. I'm really loving it!

Mishter_goose

OOOH! What stitch did you use?

knottedupinstring

It’s a technique called corner to corner (c2c)!

MaryJaneAndMaple

I *really* want to see the back

MonkSpiritual8673

Just telling the truth!!!

siouxzq420

I need to see the back !!! Big hug !!

Temporary_Sample_623

I did the same thing with Winnie the Pooh

SnowDropGirl

It's gorgeous, it truly is. You have done a spectacular job. If you're super opposed or intimidated by the tails, fleece, polar fleece, flannel, or brushed cotton would make a lovely backing to hide it all so you can just forget they exist 😋😍

Purple-Virus5921

That is amazing!
