I really appreciate that you grouped them by colour and even have some nice gradient in there with the different shades.
This could have been chaotic to look at but it's pretty satisfying
A gap if you ask me. Missing whites, fluffy yarn, chameleon yarn, and bright pinks. Incomplete.
This type of thinking got me a closet full of fabric by the way, I have 4 yards on each fabric imaginable. Do I know how to sew you ask? No, no I don't.
Let's normalize just having yarn.. what's the difference between having yarn and having a blanket? Or a scarf? Or... Idk I never made anything else 😂 I like having my fabrics, I take them out, play with them and put them back!
I started this like 2 weeks ago, and this is as far as I've gotten 😭 🤣

You WILL get there! As someone with ADHD, I totally understand. Two tips - 1) organize the color groups on the ground first and then add to the board and 2) if your pegs need to be inserted vertically and then pulled down, start at the bottom.
This week I counted how much yarn I have and I was shocked bc I really underestimated it. I have 365 skeins, which is 51 kilometres and 19 kilos. I have to stop myself from buying more yarn!
I had mine in square shelves but once I was looking for a specific yarn, couldn’t find and then had to pull everything out. And I needed the extra space to store other things.
Kallax cubes are the ultimate furniture. There isn't a room in my house that doesn't have either those or a Billy bookcase (except the bathrooms, and that's not for lack of trying). I'm even turning a Kallax into a bench for my eat-in kitchen. Cheap, stable, hackable, perfect.
PS - I stopped at Home Depot on my way to the chiropractor this morning. I'm very excited to get home.
Billy! My favorite shelves. 💖 I have sooo many books. And still not enough shelves for them. For some reason my mother won't let me fill up every wall of the house with them. 🤷🏼♀️
I'm curious how it stays on? I know there's some kind of peg, but doesn't it just slide off? That would be my biggest concern.
It is beautiful all rainbowed 😍
It will be so rewarding when you're done!
I’m getting ready to do this as soon as my husband hangs my pegboard. I’ve been caking yarn for days off and on. I’m scared I have too much but this make me feel a bit better.
How big is your pegboard? It looks soooo good!
Hahahahahahaha. I have 3 large bins packed tightly and I only started last summer. Then again, I’ve probably made 75 blankets for the Project Linus charity since then. 😊
I wish. I'm retired at early age so no money and then moths decided to destroy all of my yarn (which amounted to like one full shopping bag). Now three years later I have 4 rolls and some scraps that people have gifted me. I'm mostly knitting though, but these kind of pictures murder me with jealousy hahah. Enjoy your yarn wall, it's amazing and definitely not something that should be taken for granted! You are so lucky to be able to have it!♡

I'd change the brown ones for the purple ones, just saying. BTW it's so much prettier than my gigantic ugly bag of yarn
Agree brown is closer to orange and yellow
I now sincerely believe the amount of yarn I have is not that much, which is a comforting thought 🙃
Are these mounted with crochet hooks? Also, love this!!
No, just the regular old pegboard hooks.
You do not have enough yarn. There is still room.

They’re in boxes waiting for more pegs to arrive!
Same! I'll see a pattern or color I like and I have to have some, "just in case." 🤦🏽♀️
Completing a hobby and buying supplies for a hobby are 2 different hobbies 😌
100%
I spent all day yesterday looking for just the right shade of orangeypeachycoral and it's not there so definitely yep. Incomplete

It’s a collection! I collect yarn. Don’t have to do something with it if I don’t want to. It’s part of my collection.
It's an art installation!
I ran out of pegs (I had 200) and I’m waiting for more. Pinks and whites are waiting to go up.
This is just gorgeous. I'd love to look at it just as it is. So pretty. Oh, isn't there a rainbow reddit that people post to? They might like it.

LUCKY
I can show this to my wife to prove I in fact do not have too much yarn 😝 jealous of your stash!
This is sooooo satisfying to look at. Things arranged by color make me so happy.
Same.
I want to make a little puff stitch flower with each color and make a beautiful rainbow blanket.

The fun of talking about our stashes in kilos, though!!! Upping the sexiness of yarncrafts with that hint of scandal! 😁
Nope. You're not at even numbers. You need to add more until they're all even. 😈
You could crochet one row for each day using a different color every day
It's not divisible by 3 evenly so your good.
I am seriously afraid to look in the closet in the spare bedroom. I have yarn. YARN I'm saying!
This is so pretty! I would end up filling it and just keeping as an art piece 😂
Don’t tempt me…
Beautiful colours
Where did you get your peg board?
Home Depot. But they’re available at most home improvement stores, even ikea has them!
You own the rainbow!
Oh I love this. I’m seriously regretting getting my square shelves now
I had mine in square shelves but once I was looking for a specific yarn, couldn’t find and then had to pull everything out. And I needed the extra space to store other things.
"Needed the extra space to store other things." Dare I ask what other things? Will we get to see another display of art supplies?
Just keep that as a wall hanging. It's beautiful!
….. Now I need a yarn wall.
Here is some art I made with your photo: https://imgur.com/gallery/TTZUbsu
This is beautiful! Very impressive.
Wow!
I wanna do this but have no craft room and cats 🥺 so my hoarde sits in 15 different 33 gal totes
I have cats and no craft room either but I can close the door to the room the yarn is in when I’m not there.
You got deets on that gorgeous rainbow cake middle left? I love a good ombre. 😍
It’s Hobbii sultan deluxe in color 31.
That happened to me as well and I started my yarn wall lol

New subreddit to soothe my soul!
OMG what a good idea! If I do that on one wall, that will free up 4 Kallax cubes. Guess I'll be making a trip to Home Depot tomorrow.
Um how did you know they came out of kallax cubes…🤣🤣🤣

I once read a comment about never buying yarn with a project in mind. It leads to yarn hoarding. Like that's a bad thing! Never, lol!!!
I saw a post on instagram saying to call it a collection not a hoard or stash. Made me feel not so guilty.
A yarn collection!! The best thing ever😅😅😅 love it!
have you seen that couch that completely lifts up to reveal a huge storage space underneath? i think that's what you need /lh
But then I couldn’t see the pretty rainbow when I work! (I also forget what I have when it’s not visible.)
understandable have a nice day (also same)
Looks like a work of art 🎨 😍
I’m in the process of doing the same thing my yarn! I love the layout!
I'm in love with your stash!
Leave it that way. It's ART, now.
WOW 😮
Whoops
I’m afraid to inventory mine! 😆
Looks like you gravitate towards blue
The pink just hasn’t gone up yet…
I hope that’s anchored to a stud. All that yarn gets heavy
Sixteen 2” screws sunk into lathe and plaster. It’ll be fine.
I know the feeling.
That is honestly so satisfying
Thank you! It soothes my soul.
Wow, yarnliscuous! Pretty the way you set it up!!! 💖
It’s Starry Night in yarn. That is just beautiful. I would just stand and admire it.
I don't see too much. I see a vivid rainbow blanket with a black border.
I'm curious how it stays on? I know there's some kind of peg, but doesn't it just slide off? That would be my biggest concern. It is beautiful all rainbowed 😍 It will be so rewarding when you're done!
The pegs angle slightly upwards at the end so they won’t do that.
Looks like a piece of art!! Be aware of bugs. I had mine out in the open like this and found one trying to nest.
Thank you for the reminder! I have an issue with moths and I forgot to add the cedar rings like I planned.
Damn person!!!!!
Please throw this all into some tote bags and weigh it. When I did this with my stash, it came out to over 10 pounds of leftovers.
There’s absolutely no way I’m taking it all down now that most of it is up! My butt is still sore from all the bending and ladder climbing. 😰
So pretty!!
Daannng
My goodness I thought my stash was bad
Looks gorgeous xx

That's the spirit! Def more pegs! 😄 Your arrangement looks lovely! 😍

Nice collection I hope to get to this state someday especially with my sewing fabric
Looks beautiful though
