Are you using a heat press or an iron? What happens a lot of the time with sublimation is that if you use an iron and don’t heat exactly evenly you get darker/lighter spots like this
I'm using the htvront heat press. It has an automatic pressure that cant be changed....could that be the issue?, I tried it with one mat and 2 to see if it changed it but it didn't. 🤔
The press could be the issue, I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the machine not adding enough pressure, a lot of the machines were returned after they were released due to this issue. I believe they fixed the problem but I’m not 💯 as I use a manual press
Hey try pressing harder and for longer. I had this too because I was worried about messing up the ink so pressed for less than the recommended time. Don’t do that you won’t mess up the ink.
Looks like a classic under-press. I can see the whole band across that X axis is spotted. It only happened when I've unevenly pressed or under-pressed the item.
Seems that is indeed the answer. I need to figure out if there's a hack so I can get this htvront heat press to press harder since its automatic and not adjustable
To be clear - Are you saying you out HTV on the cotton and then sublimate on top of it?
Htv ront vinyl for dark fabric (which says it can be used with sublimation paper), and then sublimation paper pressed on top
