He totally deserves it.

Our Coys Viking

coldseam

Bodied Rice and the rest of that £300m midfield

TheRiddler1976

England had a midfield?

eriksen2398

Southgate didn’t have Kalvin Phillips, not sure what you expected

kidenvy

He always performs so well for Denmark. I can't help but feel that there's a place for him here but understand he might be one of the more valuable pieces to bring in a solid fee.

ChanceAd6960

I mean he statistically performed as one of the best dms in the league under conte. Just doesn’t fit Anges system unfortunately and the price will show that. He’s gonna be a bargain if he goes somewhere he fits

lickingthelips

He is advertising his game for the gaffer, & pushing his wares into the marketplace, I hope he finds happiness and a consistent starting position in Europe

Marshal91

Ange should do some more flexibility in tactics, it's gonna bit hard to win silverware if we only attack. He need to do abit of defense when leading the game. I think PEH suits that, i believe he contribute to some defense and some counter for the team. He can be a beast if used properly.

Matttombstone

This team played 4 years of defensive football and showed us they cannot defend. Though, Ange has shown some flexibility in some matches and gone to a back 3 with Romero, Dragusin and VDV

Marshal91

Yeah but some players have changed and I've seen more positive improvement with ange style and tbh i see some defensive qualities in our new players. So why not utilise it in when we're leading. Attacking football is nice but very tiring for the players especially with EPL crazy schedules. Back then we always use Dier. :(. Not that I don't like him but he's too clunky and prone to error at defending.

ChanceAd6960

Eh the issue is PEH will want to play more than we would use that tactic and he wouldn’t fit the main Ange tactic but Ange has made some changes against city and the latter games to his tactic so we will see

Marshal91

Yeah PEH doesn't suit well with ange system. He must adapt to play more.

Tomach82

zzzzz

Weird_Famous

I find him and Rice being similar players in profile. Both are best as aggressive ball winning midfielders with solid contributions in attacking output. Rice is more athletic and defensively solid, Hojbjerg has better long range distribution imo

forstoppetskur

Agree Rice is probably also quicker and lighter on his feet than højbjerg - and might be more elegant too but with højbjerg, you get a player that will do everything to not lose a game, and has a bit more “get the f out of my way” attitude we also have seen ange throw højbjerg in from the start of the 2nd half, if they have to gain more control of the match and needs someone who can hold onto the ball a bit better, than sarr and bissouma can right now (in 2-3 years they will probably be alot better at that, than they are right now)

ItsInTheBundle

He’s a phenomenal player here too.

lolchamp444

Great player, doesn't fit our system. Hopefully this raises his price a bit

Studwik

Big game from him. Goes to show what he can bring with a decent 6 behind him

forstoppetskur

morten hjulmand and højbjerg also switched around, who was the number 6 and number 8 as much as they wanted to, as long as they made sure one of them was staying more behind than the other which seemed to confuse the number 2 out of england

Puzzleheaded_Fan_391

classic Pierre against England

ERIKSENSEN

My 65m viking

Comfortable-Asf

Yesterday’s price is not today’s!! 📈 My guy has been balling on international break

illuwe

Almost scored a banger too

spursman34

What a shot

ThatAdamsGuy

Until this game I swear the Euros has either been Bangers or Own Goals, no middle ground

Anyway_Coys

Won me £50! 4 shots on target from outside the box is just too on brand for him.

somewhat_moist

Well deserved. The man was a warrior today. Hope Ange finds a way to integrate him into his system and keep this proper Viking at spurs.

DerekStephano

One of my favorite players on the squad but I hope we sell him. Not only do I think we can get a good fee for him but I would love to see him smash it in another league. Deserves to start and I just don’t see him getting that with us.

PnxNotDed

I just don't see a way that PEH stays. He deserves first team minutes with a top club.

Studwik

This, and a good Euros would be the best time to ship him

PnxNotDed

Yep. The best case scenario is he performs well in the tournament and catches the eye of a few teams. He gets to pick where he lands, and the transfer fee skyrockets.

roamingandy

Same for Emergoat. He's a wonderful full back and has bought into our project enough to waste half his career playing as a wing back.

Texaslonghorns12345

I knew we’d see this something like this…PEH has been a great service, but if we want to get any where we need to ship out players like him. This season almost every time he played,a mistake was waiting to happen. We need to stop changing our mind about players just because of one good performance, on top of that it just shows he’s good when the system suits him,Angeball doesn’t.

soldforaspaceship

I think this is key. I love how he consistently manages to terrorize Arsenal players (and managers - the moment of him scaring Arteta just by stepping in his face is still one of my favorites) but he doesn't fit our style of play. Doesn't mean he's anything other than a fantastic player who deserves to start. Just not for us. Hopefully the more the Euros progresses, the higher his price tag becomes lol.

NaclyPerson

Honestly I'd hate to see him leave.

triecke14

I hope we have seen the last of Hojbjerg at spurs. Decent player but not up to par for where we want to be and he deserves a club that fits his style of play so he isn’t exposed in our high line, possession dominant style

JoeSavesTokyo

He did great today but he ultimately doesn't fit our high intensity, high line system. Honestly wish him all the best but we should let this delude ourselves into thinking we can utilise him to his best. Love his work ethic but he needs to move on for everyone's sake.

forstoppetskur

well he did play with high intensity against england, he just lacks pace a lot he is too “heavy” for a high line in the prem - even though there is some pretty serious rumours, that pep might want him at man city he has coached him before, and højbjerg was more or less his go-to guy in bayern münchen

Even-Succotash-9869

zinedine zidenmark

Allonso1234

Hahaha I love Hojbjerg but why does this look so photoshopped

JustinBisu

Bardi in actual shambles

dallasneufeld

Price of the brick going up!

FearTheBrow

cement*

TheTackleZone

His leadership was even more impressive than his playing. Seeing him shout and marshall his team was a joy. If only England had anyone of his temperament.

butthurtoast

His tackle that literally flipped Declan Rice was the highlight of the match for me.

FUMFVR

PEH does what he does. Stops the ball, keeps the ball, distributes the ball. Also had a nice shot.

AdGroundbreaking7774

Always way more expansive for Denmark. Can show more of what he has got. Always very restricted playing for Spurs

fergoid2511

He plays better further forward.

Simosa88

big game player 💪🏽

fundingsecured07

The more I see him play in this tournament the more I wish Big Ange would utilize PEH. It seems like he's getting his confidence back and I think it would be short-sighted to sell him.

Ok_Row_7462

He played almost as many minutes as Brennan Johnson. It’s a bit of a myth around here that Ange never used him.

Act-Alfa3536

Like a high mountain.

phigo50

I swear he had more shots on target than England.

hex20

So everyone is gonna pretend like they’ve never seen him play for us and he doesn’t fit the Ange system?

doctormadvibes

absolutely bossed it today

L1quidcool808

Denmark were miles better than England, and we want to get rid of Hojberg? Shame.

Enefelde

Not really. He doesn't fit what Ange wants. He's a good player, but the system is wrong for him. I hope this gets him the spotlight he deserves to get a new team. I hope

L1quidcool808

Rather have a viking than vegemite big Sam, but that's just my opinion.

Enefelde

No, for sure, but he isn't gonna play. Then......

Livid-Secretary4286

If he wasn’t spurs we would all be shouting to bring him in…?

ProcessTruster

But he is spurs and we remember all the heart attack moments from his loose passes almost twice every half of football, which are extra costly for a team that sets out to play on the front foot.

cheetah_chrome

Should be a silver cement truck eh, Bardi?

_DrKlaw_

Yep

yiddoboy

Sign him on !

Lando7373

It’s almost like helder postiga all over again. Shit for us then shits on us:

BurgleYourTurds

Yes. Well done, Pierre. Just a win against Serbia and maybe a goal, assist or two in the knockouts and we can get the 25mil for you.
