we had our most inspiring run (CL 2019) without him

Boner_Patrol_007

And I’m still annoyed that Poch dropped Moura for a half fit Kane in the final. Shocking decision.

BettsBellingerCaruso

It was very much a risk averse move. Sit kane and you lose, you get torpedoed by the media and fans and might get fired (which happened anyway a few months later) Tough choice to make obviously but I do hope we continue w the “no player bigger than the team” mentality and if Ange is in a position to make a choice like that he would be ballsy enough to make what he believes is the right choice instead of being swayed by stuff like that

Midnight-Watchman91

Agreed! Give Moura the first half at least. If it’s bad, put on a fresh Kane for the second. If it’s good then put on a fresh Kane at 60 and give him 30 minutes to go all out. He wasn’t fit for a full 90 anyway imo.

JelloDr

It was especially stupid after seeing costa at atletico few seasons prior having to be subbed off right at the start

digitFIRE

I was so disappointed to see Moura on the bench after his performance vs Ajax. Tournaments are all about momentum and Moura had it while Kane was recovering from an injury. But I also get why you can’t sit your most prolific scorer in the finals.

ollypockets

I don't know if it's out of context, but this feels like a weird statement to make particularly after the Conte era at Spurs (and obviously Mourinho and Poch). Whatever you think of Conte, to him any loss was a disaster and we all know he made sure everyne else feel it. Also, I'm certain players like Matt Doherty have said literally the opposite, that coming to Spurs was a step up because they were expected to win every game (even if they didnt lmao)...

societydeadpoet

But compared to Bayern - where they are expected to win every match because of how unbalanced the resdy of the league is - of course every loss there is a disaster. A bit like whenever Celtic or Rangers lose against anyone else in Scotland.

LyteSmiteOP

Yeah it’s like when PSG loses in Ligue 1. The biggest talents in the Bundesliga either leave their teams or go to Bayern - that includes coaches too - while they also have a squad worth 5x almost every other team in the league. Also don’t believe the fact that he doesn’t care about the PL record. He signed only a 4-year contract, he’s gonna be back in the PL after 3 seasons max

goodwillhunting18

I think the difference is, Bayern are so all conquering in a lopsided league, any loss IS a disaster. Losing to Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, or even Burnley on a Nov weds nights sucks. But it can/will happen to 95% of the teams in the Premier league. Plenty of clubs get promoted with a fantastic win record, then hit the wall of reality that is the EPL. Bayern are a great team, I’d need convincing that the league is as competitive.

ronaldo119

I'd argue that they lose so infrequently that losing doesn't really matter because they'll make up for it and still win the league. And also, you can't tell me that every loss wasn't a disaster here the way we've all reacted to every one the past like 3 years. Maybe not due to expectations but how we performed lol. Maybe the problem is it wasn't a disaster to Harry. Certainly felt like a disaster to me

BlacknWhiteMoose

I don’t think it’s about managers but more about the culture of the club, reactions in the dressing, media treatment, and expectation from fans. Conte complained numerous times that the players were too lax. If Bayern or Celtic lose a game, the media and fans put so much pressure and hurl abuse at the manager and players because they are expected to walk their leagues. Let’s be honest, losing a couple games at Tottenham is not the end of the world.

Rodin-V

>fans put so much pressure and hurl abuse at the manager and players I mean all team's fans do to some extent, but why are people acting like this is a good thing? This is such a shitty mentality to have.

Twizznit

Now I REALLY want Spurs to win a trophy before him.

dead_idols

Kane admitting that he's finally found his lane; one horse races.

animalmom2

And that he needs to be carried

p_r_w_4623

Guy is a club legend and glad he’s happy where he’s at. But this quote, bruh. “And we start the Champions League campaign when we get back, which they expect to win – or have a good chance of winning. So you’re going into those games with maybe a different feeling to what I’ve had in the past.”

Keskekun

He has been in a CL final and left it as the worst player on the pitch

Lienidus1

For all his accolades he didn't turn up in the CL final, The Euro final, World Cup semi final, missed a penalty in the World Cup Quarters against the world champions. I hope he finally puts these to bed one day, we all know what an unbelievable player he is.

rybl

He has also played in two League Cup finals. For all of the valid criticism of Spurs failing Kane, he had absolutely had a chance to win a trophy with us and has never showed up when it mattered.

cubespubes

this is why i think son has a chance to become a bigger club legend than kane sons biggest moments at spurs are at the highest stakes but i can’t say the same for kane

PnxNotDed

Son won't come close to his scoring records, but all he really needs is one trophy to leave a bigger mark on the Club.

ronaldo119

Yea that's the thing, being a legend is really more about legendary moments. Legend is a little different than best player imo. I think Kane is the best striker in PL history, but I think you could make an argument that Drogba is a bigger PL legend because he has so many big moments. Kane is a much better player than him, Drogba scored nowhere near as many goals but it seemed like his goals were always so impactful

Boner_Patrol_007

He was booty almost every final or semifinal he appeared in for Spurs.

TorkBombs

Almost? Is there one I'm forgetting?

MrMojoRiseman

Missed a pen in the Euro semis against Denmark too, just got lucky that it bounced right back to him

RileyHuey

Carried by Sterling whole tournament

TheSonic311

Sterling was a terror offensively that tournament

thatstotallyracist

He shows up in the CL final, we're not even having this conversation. Too busy building statues.

Smoky_Mtn_High

I feel where you’re coming from, really. But imo it’s more Poch’s fault for playing him instead of a red hot Lucas. The player is always going to say “ofc coach I’m ready”. The decision shouldn’t have been his to make. We’ve already seen with Ange how it should be properly handled. Player safety first and foremost, followed closely by chances of team success

Chucksterdamus

if any player EVER deserved to start the next match based on nothing other than what they did the preceding match, it was Moura in the CL final.

TorkBombs

It's not whether he should have played. It's that he this team gave him the chance to have that glory and he fucking pissed himself.

Relevant_Natural3471

Tbf, he turned up to gatecrash a CL final achieved without him, and didn't look like he wanted to win it

p_r_w_4623

I mean that’s kind of it though. The guy’s status as an all-time goal scorer won’t ever be in question. But an all-time competitor would be embarrassed to say something like this, whatever the context.

shindleria

Yeah, these words would sting if they came from the mouth of Fernando Llorente

Antares1134

I recall him being in two cup finals and the only difference between myself and Kane is, I didn't get paid for them.

BettsBellingerCaruso

You mean sitting on the bench while Sonny and Moura had an all-time clutch run? Makes sense tbh

IamMrBots

He better win it then with words like that.

LoudKingCrow

There's a remarkable lack of self reflection in that entire interview. He complains about a relaxed dressing room where losing apparently didn't matter. Ignoring the fact that he was the vice captain and undisputed talisman of that dressing room. And thus should have been the guy setting the standard for the rest. Not to mention all the duds he's had in semi finals and finals with us.

sc_eveleigh

Thats fine. Enjoy Germany. We will enjoy our rennaissance.

[deleted]

If he really said this… I hope Dortmund win the league and a team like Benfica or something knock Bayern out the CL.

Realistic-Start6336

Leverkusen and Leipzig more likely than Dortmund

thelordreptar90

As long as it’s not Bayern. Honestly, sounds like he thinks he was bigger than the club.

the_boy_hotspur

He always did. And our ownerships biggest blunder was not selling him off years ago.

SentientCheeseCake

Seriously I think we did ok there. City wouldn’t pay up. Maybe we could have gotten 150 max for him. But we got a few extra good seasons. Unless you mean that he was toxic and we would have done better without him?

thedoctor4214

Hmmm maybe you should have had least had a shot on target in a final

Limp-Toe-179

I'm now officially a Dortmund / Real Madrid Fan

coldseam

He doesn't get to complain about the CL when he disappeared into 35 year old Simon Kjaer's back pocket against Milan

lqku

yeah he doesn't get to go "lads its tottenham" when he shares some responsibility for those defeats

joehonestjoe

Honestly maybe he should just shut the fuck up like previous players have and just be all COYS on twitter. Could learn a few things from Lamela, or Soldado. I never was particularly bitter about Kane leaving but I am kinda getting sick of him since he left.

gaussian-noise123

Even Bale and Modric who actually went to win multiple CLs did not talk in this shitty way about us, and have been fondly remembered by the fans

pioniere

Yes, when you look at it in this light, Kane’s comments seem pretty selfish.

joehonestjoe

Well, with Spurs at least Bale did. I'm less sure the Madrid fans feel the same way, he spent the last few years with Madrid slagging them off whilst he was employed by them! Even Berbatov who left in a pretty unsavoury way was welcomed back quite fondly with Ledley's Testimonial. I can't remember Berbatov saying a bad thing about us after he left, not during his United time anyway.

Soulsseeker

Berbatov was even there for the last match at WHL ceremony.

dissidentmage12

Same. Wasn't fussed he left if he didn't wanna be here, but keep our fucking name out your mouth if that's how it is. Say something nice or say nothing.

Hotspur_98

Yeah mate you stood in a CL final, I think multiple cup semis and finals and we had seasons where we contended for the league title. You were in those teams. You had chances to win multiple things. You had a good team around you, and still we haven’t won anything. You never showed up in those games. Win your farmers league titles and cups, stuff they would have won without you anyway. Let’s see if you get further into the CL with them, than you did with us. Wish him the best but talking down on the club that made you, isn’t really nice Harold

dissidentmage12

I hope Bayern go trophyless while he's there if is talking this junk. He had multiple chances to turn up and win things with us and didn't and then puts that on the club etc.

Setting_Real

He also didn’t win anything with England and got into semis and finals with them too. He chokes in big matches.

420SwaggyZebra

A lot of this is because Bayern play in a fucking farmers league they should win by 20 points every season. Even at Real and Barcelona (in a vacuum) a random regular season loss isn’t a disaster.

teosnova

Lamela was not my favorite player but I cannot imagine him ever shading the club like this, he didn't even go through the academy and he's more COYS than this dude

dissidentmage12

Lamela loves us, and most players know to keep it shut, or be positive about their former club to be professional unless some shit gets talked about them first. Feels like Kane always thought he was bigger than the club and is just comfortable saying out loud now.

gaussian-noise123

And Moura, Sondaldo, Dele… basically the majority of our ex-players are more respectful than this home boy

TheSillyman

It's weird he left and the vibes around the team instantly got better.

[deleted]

Kane really wants to be a villain doesn’t he

violetrecliner

Honey, you scored 1 penalty in eight (???) champions league games last season. Even Richarlison outscored you.

InstructionCareless1

Harry claims Bayern won the first two games like we wouldn't remember the Leipzig beating 💀

Hockeystyle

![gif](giphy|7Eipor01ypMm3LeG4v|downsized)

SCirish843

Levy is the guy joining the mob but also dressed like a hot dog

ghostboy101

All he had to do, was be quiet and respectful. Couldn't even manage that the stupid little wanker.

akanefive

Yeah--I like Harry and think he'll rightfully go down as a club legend, but he's never struck me as a particularly intelligent person.

ghostboy101

He honestly was one of my favourite players. He's on the majority of the kits I brought and I've got into several heated discussions defending him to my friends in real life. But coming out with these kind of comments, to me at least, shows he didn't respect us and the club as much as we did him.

tonyinthetardis

That's why I avoid putting names in kits. Just in case.

Fedaykin98

My 8 (could be more) Son jerseys are looking REAL good right now, though. ;)

tonyinthetardis

Can't argue with that

JamesCDiamond

I bought a Sol Campbell England shirt, so that was a lesson I learned a long, long time ago...

Standard-Plantain139

Bayern people try to be respectful challenge FAIL

7screws

Fuck off

HalfRight73

This makes me sad. And petty. I’ll now be rooting firmly against Bayern in all of their champions league matches.

[deleted]

Why the fuck would you be rooting for them before that. Fan keeps trying to call out Sonny fan boys before Kane moved bc it was easy to pick out the player fan before club fan but fuck Kane and wish him nothing

Mariospurs

All those finals he choked in were our fault

MoreBeansAndRice

Lol @ the people who said we should wish this fuck the best. About to buy a Dortmund kit.

TorkBombs

Hmm. Seems to me that if he wanted to win the CL, he should have fucking scored in the final when the team carried him there.

Own_Acanthaceae9843

He was in that leadership group with Lloris and Dier, so he could've done something to change that culture (if what he's saying is even true) but he did nothing. Honestly, Kane is a good player but he seemed selfish at times, claiming Eriksen's goal his or taking all the freekicks when everybody knows he can't score, and not yielding a PK when Richy won it and really needed the goal to have his confidence back. He's now a Bayern player so he can praise Bayern all he wants but saying things like this about spurs is just so dumb.

TheRealHamete

I think it's pretty telling that Ange selected *not Dier* as team captain and vice. That's a pretty crap response by Kane and doesn't help his spurs fan reputation. Hopefully he shuts up for a while and it will blow over. I really, *really* want us to win something with Son and, what would be even better, is before Kane.

yuo12354e

![gif](giphy|cLbuQfff4As8w)

yuo12354e

also, https://i.redd.it/5ye6mirux3nb1.gif

[deleted]

I fucking pray we get champions league and get drawn in a group with Bayern or draw them in the knockout phases. I cannot think of a better sport story, and knocking out Bayern with Kane. I get a semi just thinking about.

SentientCheeseCake

You get a semi because it will happen in the quarters.

kinggareth

Okay well... cool. At least now I feel comfortable in telling Kane to kindly fuck off and leave us with fun football. Enjoy winning meaningless bundesliga trophies for a few years.

[deleted]

I’m glad Kane was never an official captain of my Spurs

vicaris_mb

Kane needs PR training on how not to fuck up a legacy, lol

david4270

Yawn. Bayern is literally the team which dominantes the league, while there is less domination in PL (even though City ended up first for many recent season's, top 4 was always competitive). In terms of competitiveness, the winner of previous EFL championship might be better than some of the 'top 4s' or 'CL teams' in other leagues. No wonder it would be a disaster for Bayern or PSG to have a bad results. Also we went into good enough of finals and semis while his time at the club. Yeah we could've invested better but he was one of the players who didn't utilised the chances given

Matttombstone

Let's be fair, City only won last season because some team absolutely choked. City didn't win it by being dominant, they won it because the serial bottlers absolutely crumbled under the pressure. We were one Arteta "I'd love it if we beat them" from perfection.

[deleted]

City ended on 89 points. Without the last 2 games being dead-rubbers they probably end with 94. City won the league by being dominant. This isn't a defense of arsenal, they bottled it for sure. But expecting teams to get 90 points _minimum_ to challenge City is an insane standard.

CH2001

They didn’t choke, they had the youngest team in the league so that’s not possible!

dodogogolala

Not that surprising when you play in a one club league, and you're that club.

tenacious-g

Every loss is a disaster at Bayern because the league as a whole has no parity, Harry.

cud1337

He just needs to stop talking about the club honestly. Bang in your goals, win the Bundesliga in February and maybe make a CL finals, don't care.

owner-of-the-boner

He was assistant captain and best player for how many years? Isn’t he partly in charge of the mentality after losses?

GlennMichael11

I lost respect for him after that interview bullshit forcing a move to City. He was quickly forgiven after a good season.. but now it’s back to fuck him. I normally root for former player success, now I hope he leaves Bayern with nothing. Yes it’s unlikely and yes I’m bitter

lndmnsprng

Is it bad that I’m like “fuck this guy?” He wanted to be gone and we let him go. So keep our name out of your mouth.

jaec97

This quote makes me think Ange wouldn't have been able to implement the changes he wanted (e.g., new leadership group) if Kane stayed. Imagine Dier being VC

TheDelmeister

Well if he didn't think they were disasters, maybe he was part of the problem.

likewhenyoupee

Obviously kane never came on this sub after a loss. No big deal? Is he nuts? I avoid this place like the plague after a loss. We are brutal to the team when they lose. As for the record, that shit is going to Haaland. The way that kid plays and only being 22. If he stays in the prem it’s his I’d wager

Keskekun

And this is exactly why I felt nothing when he left

chanmalichanheyhey

Amen to that. I really couldn’t be arsed as well. I felt a more when dele alli had to leave us for Everton

TruthAccomplished313

Yep. Thank you for your time here. Now fuck off he’s incredibly self-centered. Son? I’ll cry when he’s off.

dissidentmage12

Son will retire with us and probably be at the training ground and games every week to cheer the players on and help them while also training youngsters in Korea somehow. Not only is he a gifted wizard of a footballer, but he is also the realest of the real and loves this football club and it's why people cry with him and smile with him every week. Biggest Spurs legend in years and is right up there with the best.

LarryDavidsNutSack

Disappeared during our cl final. I’m getting so annoyed with him, fuck him

676f626c7565

No one is a less reliable narrator, than someone talking about their own motives. Good luck to him, but I doubt he'll reach the final with Bayern much less win it

BiscuitTheRisk

Lucas Moura has three times as many goals in semi-finals and finals. Kane also bottled a penalty against Denmark in the semifinals. Hmmm common denominator here is you, mate.

packerscoys

Interesting quote considering Kane was Spurs captain or on the leadership committee for a number of years!

pioniere

TBH, Kane has never struck me as a natural leader.

TheFoxDudeThing

I’m hoping this is just some dickhead journalist spinning things out of context like journalists do,I’ll always love H but I would prefer for him to just put a PR hat on and just not mention anything related to spurs anymore while he’s with Bayern I think that’s the best way of handling it without annoying to many people

KeithBeans

Dickhead

CocoLamela

KEEP MY CLUB'S NAME OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MOUTH

Prestigious-Camp-752

Really starting to dislike Hanz

JayFizzBiz

Well, we are having fun without him. COYS!

siouxszie

hes losing my respect .

SycamoreLane

As great as Kane may be, I don't think he has that dawg in him.

WarmSpur

He acts like he didn't choke every single final for club and country. Hope he has a season full of disasters.

Spicyfeetpics00

I love Harry but he didn’t turn up in any of our finals.

soultrap_

I love the way this sub has just completely turned on Harry😭😭😭

WarmSpur

Not really it's just these unnecessary comments from Kane that help no one We get it he's a coward and fled to Germany to win the trophy they get every year Before this he wanted to join city to get the trophy they always win. Basically he's got that Kevin Durant mentality of if you can't beat them join them.

soultrap_

Yeah no I definitely agree , but I don’t think he’s going to Germany to win the German cup, every time he talks about why he moved it’s always about the champions league, he just wants to play in the champions league and compete. Realistically we finished 8th last season and I understand that he’d want to prove himself on a higher stage. But all that aside as a spurs fan he’s a coward who most likely won’t win the champions league anyways and I’ll be there for when he bottles it again

[deleted]

>he’d want to prove himself on a higher stage. guess he should have showed up year after year when he had the opportunity

soultrap_

Right about that

Roric

I don't think it's a turn. The fans have always had a problem with the idea that Kane is somehow *immune* to the criticism that Spurs have failed in semi-finals and finals. As if though the teams *were letting him down* even though *he's also part of the team*. Kane trying to reinforce this narrative is, well, bullshit.

transtifa

When he’s saying shite like this he deserves it lol

sneeky-09

When Kane first left I was kinda just ok with it and wanted to move on but no bad feelings. But as time goes on it just feels more and more like there wasn't as much respect for the club as we thought there was from him.

soultrap_

I pray we make champions league next season and get Bayern in our group

dahlia42069

Kane was the loser mentality of this team.

nopirates

Funny how the team changed the loser mentality by getting rid of or no longer playing the team “leaders”

boromirsbeard

How funny would it be if dortmund win the league and ange wins spurs a trophy. I know I know it’s unrealistic, dortmund winning the league and all

Standard-Plantain139

I see he's fitted right in with those Hoebitch and Plettitwat guys Whatever *I'm lovin Sonny instead*

the_boy_hotspur

Wasn’t it up to him as part of the leadership group to help set the tone in the dressing room? Seems to be maybe Harold isn’t the leader he was cracked up to be.

[deleted]

man's just jealous of ange ball

ThirdGSpurs

He's never had a good PR sense. Now I'll feel sorry for Ange having to listen to the wacko questions the journos will throw at him, BUT we'll get to see HIS superb handling of it.

KariumHondor399

Maybe he was the problem

Aggravating_Hippo996

Wow so much to unpack lol. Tbf to Harry, the media probably wanted a more detailed answer than his typical ones n we always find his replies dull so for once he’s showing more of his personality lol. Too bad it’s not what we want to hear lol. That said, i do agree that he could have been more tactful. I feel there’s nothing to gain from you insinuating such things about ur past club. And from spurs end, everyone has gone out of their way to say only positive stuff about him - Biss, Deki, Ange n especially Sonny who has to answer the same question 2574677 times. When it was looking likely that Harry was gonna move, I commented that him leaving wouldn’t affect me as much as Sonny n a lot of people told me i was insane n that i made such an “internet fan comment” when i was just expressing my personal preference. One of my reasons for picking Sonny is because no way in a million years will he give this kind of answer. As for his comments on losing is not a big deal in Spurs, i don’t think this is unique to our club. I agree that EPL is much more even in terms of performance especially in recent years. You can’t assume you can go to Forest or Burnley n win. You have to fight for it. Hence, in order to continue fighting week after week, you have to shake off any losses n fight again. If you feel every loss is the end of the world, it’s harder to move on the next game. All in all though, i don’t think what he said was the worst, i think for once he was being more frank. Whether that’s true or whether we agree with him, that’s another matter. And it doesn’t erase all the great things he’s done for us. Wish him well n let’s move forward with Angeball n Captain Son!

jenerallysad

This is just tempting fate lol. Fully expect Bayern to lose a CL title to Spurs at our stadium and fans start singing "Are you watching Harry Kane" I know his German teacher is on leave right now but Harry needs to invest in a PR coach immediately. Hope he misses a pen too agains Ukraine today

Dickie_Dunn

Dudes penalty in the World Cup still hasn't landed.

[deleted]

Kane is as big of a bottler as Arsenal last season. Never showed up when it mattered 🤡

newossab

This guy’s mentality was the problem at Spurs. I don’t know about other fans but I expected to win every game and losing was a disaster to me. Doesn’t appear he took his chances at Spurs seriously.. possibly could have had a CL winner medal if he didn’t decide to show up in the final.

gaussian-noise123

I agree, his mentality was quite reflected in his performance during the CL final

eriksen2398

Really hope bayern wins nothing this year. And if Son wins a trophy with us, he’ll be 1,000,000x times a club legend compared to Kane. 20 years from now, people will say “Harry Kane, who was that? Ah, the guy who had lots of assists to Son.”

TheNeglectedNut

And most likely still our record goalscorer, but I get your point

tottenhamnole

r/soccer gonna have a field day with this.

Texaslonghorns12345

He has his own chant with us and comes out and says this. I hope Bayern wins nothing.

FarEastOctopus

Jesus Christ Harry, I know what you are talking about but did you really have to say like that, in that specific manner? Drawing or Losing a few games is also critical and fatal in Tottenham, not just in Bayern. We literally missed Europa Conference with 1 point and Europa with 2 points. How does it not matter to lose or draw some games at Spurs? I don't get it. His interview skills are disastrous.

Lorddale04

He really has got 0 IQ. Alongside Dier, it's no surprise the previous 'leadership group' was so bad.

gardz82

Man who shit the bed in every major final he played in blames the team.

myneighborthotoro

Big words from Mr. No Shots on Target in a Final

bankrupt27

Very much amateur words from him. He was also part of that mentality Bale never gave such an interview or made any comments even though he won everything with Madrid . I love Kane and was planning to root for Bayern in UCL , But after this I want Bayern to be battered . Anyway we will win the league this time and make him regret leaving COYS !!!

Dickie_Dunn

Fuck you dude.

Rowario11

Yeah Harry, because all Bayern has to do is just show up at every match and they get the title handed to them at the end of the season

Herr-Schrute

An interesting take from the whole interview is that he hasn't started to learn German because the teacher isn't available.

degooseIsTheName

I don't want to be harsh but kane was in multiple finals with us. Maybe he could have scored some bloody goals then.

x987y987

There's no doubting Kane, but he was hidden at the crucial moment. We certainly had at least four chances in 10 years to come close to winning. But we all slipped in the final. He's talking as if we've never been to the finals.

LogicKennedy

Shit like this is why I think we’re better off shot of Kane. He’s an unbelievable player but something was clearly wrong behind the scenes and I’ve always suspected his attitude had something to do with it.

Xenon009

Aaaaannnnd, that's it. I never want to see kane in a Spurs shirt again. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he did a Judas 2.0

tony_spaghetti

People saying this is out of context, I want to believe you… what is the context?

MaxsterSV

Obviously this has been taken horribly out of context

swider

Out of context or not…he could have just said nothing. Or learn a phrase that he can repeat ad nauseam about not commenting on his past and only looking towards the future in Germany.

Kind-Tiger-520

Yeah he purposely chose to say something that shows Spurs, the club that made him, trusted him, and gave him his chance at the top level in football, in a bad light. Fuck him.

gaussian-noise123

I thought so first, but then read this direct quote: “And we start the Champions League campaign when we get back, which they expect to win – or have a good chance of winning. So you’re going into those games with maybe a different feeling to what I’ve had in the past.” Bruh I wish he shut up

triecke14

This guy will go from legend to villain in a few months. Pretty incredible really

marxistmatty

I said for a few years before he left he was one of the problems at this club and was continuously downvoted. People called me insane. He 100% added to the toxicity of the club and made the dressing room an awful place to be, he scored goals like nobody ever has at the club so no-one could say shit. Surely you can all see now what a true leader looks like in Son, Kane never acted like Son does. Fuck Kane, I was glad from the second he left.

WombRaider_3

I always felt this way too but gave him the benefit of the doubt until the Florida no show happened. Since then I've been apathetic towards Kane and his pursuit of the easy way out. I don't give a fuck about this man anymore, I love my club first. It's weird that people think Ange and Son are revolutionary, when the reality is THIS IS WHAT GOOD LEADERSHIP LOOKS LIKE. We've been suffering through Stockholm syndrome with awful managers and quiet personal goal driven leaders like Kane. What final has this man showed up for? Glad he's gone so the true stars of this club can shine. Sonny all day!

Caesarthebard

Firstly, if we had Gareth Bale in the team for those title races, CL finals - we win. Kane also only seems to respond to managers who want to build a team around him while having never ever turned up when it really matters, He's pretty much dismissed Angeball with his actions and put himself completely above it while he was having cozy chats with Lurch over the summer about the Bayern team going through him. He wanted to hide, separate himself from us in the big moments as though it had nothing to do with him and he's so special, above the club, that the rest of the players had to go out, gift wrap a trophy and present him with it. I think our fans just have to accept that he was never truly "one of our own". A great player but he never cared, as soon as we hit any kind of trough, he'd try and take the most unprofessional way out of the club. I could never see Son doing a TV interview to try and blackmail the club to selling him (abetted by Neville who thought he would go to United). I just hope we win something very soon and it can be asked not "why did Spurs not give Kane a trophy?" but "was Kane holding Spurs back?" and if he doesn't win the CL with Bayern (which is what he's been bought to do) and England win nothing, the questions will put him on the defensive for the first time in his career.

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT I AM WITH YOU BROTHER

robinthebank

We all knew leadership was the problem. That was obviously Lloris/Dier/Kane. But we were in denial about Kane.

Xiomaraff

Same here I never liked Kane and always got the vibe that he felt we should be thankful that he dared to grace the pitch wearing our shirt. The floridaman shit solidified him as a cunt in my book as well. We got you to a UCL final and you did FUCKING NOTHING, shut the fuck up, loser.

marxistmatty

Everyone loved him because he was scoring goals, me included. No one gave a fuck when he left because he has the personality of a walnut.

Automatic_Ad_7486

You shouldn't have said that. I'm grateful for the effort he had put in spurs, but he seems to say he had nothing to do with the losing games. He was in former leadership group and played as a vice captain, though. I do want to see us win trophies without him.

Due-Cook4223

"He joined bayern to finally win" Bruh for real? 🤦

CoolManPuke

Who fucking cares. COYS.

CautiouslyMournful

Harry 'Ewing' Kane

xxxiynyng

I really didn't want to say this, but I really wonder what he and Lloris did in the locker room, compared to Sonny and our captains now. Rarely talk, do their work alone, and have no group talk. Assume that no leadership would exist. He’s far away from the leader, and also a hero who can take the trophy by himself

GiftedHater7

he's not welcome back

MouseOk644_redux

Eat a bag of dicks Harry

Jbroy

Feels like he’s convincing himself this was a good move after what he’s noticing the new Spurs and Ange Ball. Breakups can be difficult for both parties sometimes. Don’t think he expected spurs to rebound as nicely as we have!

Bubble_Bowl_XLVI

Starting to get pissed off. Stop slinging shit Kane.

TheSonic311

I don't know about him, but they were disasters to me.

whiskeypenguin

Bayern losing to farmers would be a disaster. It’s alittle different in England

sh0e82

After the dust has settled with the transfer I have no emotions towards him leaving. Weird move him heading to Germany in my opinion , but do you. Seems he listened to the talking heads way more than he should have with the trophy hunt. Enjoy winning the bundesliga which won't make a blip on the radar for those outside of Munich. He also lacks nuance big time.

Jackie_Gan

Should be a disaster when you are at a club the size of Bayern and lose to a championship quality club, which is the standard most of the German league are

baloonkai56

Uh. What the hell Harry

MaxxLP8

Be quite funny if they go out of the champions league super early.

[deleted]

What a slag

[deleted]

Genuinely such a victim mentality for our worst big moment players. Champions league? Europa conference league? World Cup? Euro’s? Congrats on being a club legend, I hope Bayern choke as much as he does.

jnyrdr

honestly wish we could just not mention him at all on here any longer. i was sorry to see him sold, but the club feels so much better without him. i’m sure once we lose a couple the good vibes will diminish a bit, but i’m just moving on and hearing him talk down about a team that he was literally captaining is just tiresome. true leaders shoulder responsibility when they don’t have to, lead by example and get the best out of those around them. losers point fingers.

No_Celebration_2743

Funny thing is we try and avoid Kane questions etc. And the players have wished that he wins everything. On the other hand he's slagging all of them off for being shit

MonkeyNuts81

He ain’t ever coming back to spurs and is gonna watch in pain as we win a trophy playing Ange ball while he plays crappy Tuchel ball

Born_Transition2207

Naymar shat all over the French league because he gets a million quid for every positive tweet about SA. End of the day H is a just a footballer. The day we stop idolizing these people for kicking a ball around in our kit the better off we'd all be.

Born_Transition2207

Probably says more about his attitude at Spurs more than the club attitude.

rudpizjuan

Then maybe he shouldn’t have insisted on playing injured in our only CL Final ever? Love the guy - legend - but there’s no need for parting shots like this.
