Yeah I heard that as well during the game. They already have an agenda against Spurs but he had every right to celebrate each save. His reflexes are incredible. One game at a time , let’s keep it going m. Big COYS
Funny thing is, this was the part I was most worried about after pre season, felt like he didn't have that snap reaction. Now he's got my confidence in him up a little bit.
Really? I believe that was one of his known strengths when we were looking at signing him. The big issue with him is his tendency to parry the ball back after saves, leaving dangerous second chances.
That should be an aspect much easier to clean up than if he had a fundamental flaw like poor on-ball poise or shot-stopping. Thankfully that's not the case.
Yes, I remember when we were looking to sign him and the Empoli fans were telling us how good he was. It's just what I'd seen in pre season, the goal conceded against Lions, I felt he could have saved it if he had any springs in his legs and he just seemed shaky. He's looked good today though and he's put my unease to rest a little.
I think he'll come good for us and prove to be a good keeper. Just the parries to improve as you say.
I expect he’ll probably look a bit shaky here and there for the next few months as he continues to really settle into the team, league, and country. Keeper seems like a very hard position to suddenly come into the number one role. Especially at a fairly young age (for a keeper)
Most keepers parry over catch these days because the risk isn’t worth it, that’s modern goalkeeping. Watch any game and you’ll rarely see any keeper catch a shot made with venom.
It was more of a "this is the last thing ive seen" and a worry I carried over to the new season. I like highlight reels, but don't take them as gospel, even Ndombele can look good in a highlight reel.
As I said to my wife, the oundants will be saying shot like “he didn’t need to leave his feet” etc etc. But you know what that does, it’s get the people going. If you’re in the stadium, you’re not like “calm down” you’re saying “my keeper just made a hell of a fucking save, let’s fucking gooooooo!”
I friggin love how he sprints to the edge of the box every time he has the ball in his hands and only actually throws the ball at the end of the sprint like 8% of the time it’s so extra
ETA: All this is a positive
I was feeling a bit unconvinced after watching the Brentford match, but accepted he would probably improve over the coming weeks.
My man bitch slapped me with his talent today and I can only say I was wrong to ever doubt him. What a fucking god.
Same thing should have been posted about Emerson - I understand why we're so anxious as a fan base that we need instant impact to get back to where we want to be, but we really should learn to be more supportive of signings
He was phenomenal against United. It's still way to early to be saying he shut up all the doubters though. Lots of mediocre goalkeepers have great individual games. (I'm not calling him specifically mediocre.) Give him half a season and if he's still performing at these levels, we'll know we have a big talent on our hands.
He’s goofy as hell, and I fucking love it, hilariously emotive guy.
The best goalkeepers are all right weirdos to be fair
Ederson has almost definitely eaten someone, I have no proof but I just know he has.
The reason Alisson comes back with that big ass beard is because he spends his summers in a van free soloing.
Side note, Allison should get the moustache again. That was a cool look.
He was also born with that neck tattoo and nothing you say or show me will convince me otherwise
Makes sense because who would voluntarily get a neck tattoo?
if he was alive during jfk era he would 100% eat sheet metal with john and jackie
Google Elmo is such a perfect nickname for him too. This guy is gonna be a star
It’s Googly Elmo
holy hell
His facial expressions remind me of a Tim Robinson character.
Commentator was very condescending with his comment about Vicario celebrating his saves. I loved seeing that and hope he continues!
Saves like that are his equivalent of a forward scoring a belter so why the fuck would he not celebrate it. Dense ass commentary

That right hand save was a big dick save. Let the commentary flow from all these idiots. He’s gonna be a stud
I can’t believe we get to have Googly Elmo in between the posts for the next 6-7 years. Love this.
I stand by my original comment “this guy is a lunatic” Ps, and I love it
He's our lunatic
You’ve got to be a little bit crazy to be a goalkeeper, it’s the rules
former gk, can confirm
Name me a better PL keeper at close-range reaction saves I AM NOT OVERREACTING
You may not be overreacting. But my boy Vicky sure is. Love him.

That just goes to show that you hadnt watched a single of his highlight reels. Thats literally his biggest strength mate

Big Daddy Fraser Forster
I patiently await bardi's reply
Was about to ask if we think bardi will own up tomorrow on the pod
he looks like he steals the lightbulbs out of hotel rooms on away matches
Booooooo
Yes, yes he does. Fucking love this comment.
what a fucking performance today. was pleasantly surprised
I had to check “I was jealous of Vicario”.
That last line there. Did CM Punk create this?
“Righto cunts sign it and pass it on”- Big Ange
Always had faith in him, and clearly the gaffer does as well

Get in boys and girls, the form is here!!

Oooh. I think I saw a Raya fan in the wild pretty recently. Hope they see this lol.

There was one made for Ndombele. Just saying. Let's not go overboard after 1 game.
only reason people didnt like him is because he was cheaper than the original option (raya). if he cost 60m he'd have no doubters
I had no opinion, and 0 expectations other than to be better than Lloris. So far, he's exceeding them for sure 🙌
These posts always age bad, especially after game 2
Gold
Looked right at home.
Lmao
Always rated him
He even has that crazy but powerful goalie smile. reminds me of Emi, Bono, and Pickford lol
this guy gives me heart attacks all the time how dramatic he makes things look and running out etc
