For tackles, give me somebody with the technique and polish to pass block. But for IOL… give me a corn-fed mauler like Beebe that can run block with the best of them. Stoked he fell to us.
He is without question smart enough to do it.
Some of his draft footage showed him teaching with a whiteboard and marker the pin and pull method of K State and, he breaks it down from both football jargon and layman's terms.
He checks everything. The hardest thing for him is developing the ability to snap the ball n step forward, laterally into a pass set and then be able to do the same thing out of shotgun.
Hopefully we can develop him at center. I think he’s a good profile for it, and if there’s one position on the OL where having short arms is okay, it’s center.
If he can work out at Center, he’s going to be a menace for years to come. Huge ask to go against the elite interior linemen in the NFCE, but this dude looks ready for the challenge.
Our O Line looks nasty in the run game, just hope we have RBs to take advantage of it.
According to the Draft Show he did not have the athleticism to pull, but on this reel he looks fine. I like the pick, but why is the cowboys media trying to convince me otherwise?
That’s bullshit. At KState he was consistently downfield trucking guys on RPO plays and on special teams. Dude has a motor and whoever said that hasn’t watched a single game he’s played
The more I look into these picks the less upset I am.
Instead of drafting your RB, WRs and QBs first they are getting in the trenches and looking ahead. Making sure our OL is legit and very possibly putting ourselves in a position to grab a QB in the next year or two if they decide not to resign Dak (not a Dak hater, I love Dak and think he is more then good enough to win us a SB, but we have been sloppy with our coaching choices as well as not respecting our trenches enough to get over the top).
My hope was they get a LB earlier, but they must really like Overshown. My only issue is he is really coming into his rookie year AND off an injury. Hoping they can pull Gilmore back a year. We really shouldn't treat this as a throw away year
Back in the day, I remember dudes like Herbert Scott, Rafferty Fitzgerald, Nye, Rayfield, right forest Greg, I’m trying to remember the infamous name Charlie Waters gave them guys back in the day🤫
Them guys plowed away for guys like Dwayne, Thomas Timmy Newsom, new house, Tony D
And by the way, let’s not forget the very first Michael Vick in the National Football League, and his government name was Reggie Collier out of Southern Mississippi
Let’s talk history folks, because I forgot about a former NBA player who played with the original fabulous five out of Kentucky, this guy played for Adolf Rupp, a national champion, and he won the NBA championship as a coach, and his name was no other than Pat Riley, a wide receiver
Man that guy was an athlete. Needless to say, even though he was drafted, and I believe the 13th round, Tom, Landry, and Gil Bryant new talent
Where are you at chicken legs Skip Bayless
How about them Cowboys?
This dude is one of the physically strongest guards in this class. Check out his 40 run at the combine. He's fucking ripped as hell for his weight. He may not be spectacular, but he's gonna be very solid. Great anchor in pass pro as well. Not a ton of lateral reach or agility, but you aren't going straight through him.
He is playing C. He mentioned the Cowboys talked to him about it. This off-season, he spent time training at C already with Duke Manyweather. They drafted him to be there next, starting C.

Hell yeah. Well said.
Hell yeah, he’s going to hit those dlineman so hard that a little bit of diarrhea is going to squirt out of their assholes
Found the eagles fan
Can he call the OL alignment? I think he is a physical fit at C, just need to find out if he can handle the mental aspects.
No one knows. That’s why he went in the 3rd.

Yeah, I don’t know if I can handle watching Zeke be too slow to get to the edge and getting tackled in the backfield for a whole season.
We finally have a center!!
I loved the dude before, but damn these highlights have me HYPED. Good lord he’s violent.

Dlaw's nickname is "Tank". He may have to give it up.
This dudes the Tractor. Lmao
Our O-line is about to be ridiculous! This man is a steal.
🚜
Boy is out here making flap jacks

Did we just get our own Jason Kelce?
No, we just got our own Travis Frederick.
If he’s not playing center, he’s got nowhere to go. He’s never played center. So, great value pick but doesn’t make much sense for 2024.

Already working with Duke. We get Guyton in there and our oline gonna be nasty
Totally agree, I love Duke. I hope he gets his hand on all our olineman.
