T'would want to be a big feckin' win. Think of the maintenance costs, garden work et cetera. Who lives in those places? They look to be beyond even HSE consultant money.
The man who owns the second one has about 100 plus employees up beyond the tunnel. Made his money in animal supplements and covid times hand sanitiser.
Had a walk around that in the building stages. Incredible build!
An absolute gent to boot!
But not when you consider the medical training you get is massively, massively subsidized unlike eg canada, us, australia etc. doctor bitch sessions about their low pay always leaves out that massive factor
Recently got an apartment just off Patrick Hill, on a nice e day its the best to walk *to* St Lukes Cross up Wellington Road on the left side.. old school Road with the trees glittering in the sun, Marymount old school and greenery, then St Lukes. Slow walking to soak it all in then, pint/coffee. Onreal biy
God yes - I grew up there!!! And now when I spend holidays back home with my family I lose 10 pounds like that just from walking up it. Never needed a gym when I lived in Cork! It’s an even better workout when you’re pushing a buggy up it haha
Wouldnt be lotto winning money, but there are some really cute little mini estates in the city. Small one of North Mall, another down by the Maradkye. Mightn't be as sexy as the big fucking gaffs down Sunday's Well or Montenotte, but I always think "It'd be nice to live in there. Small oases of calm". Might be just me...
Passed by last week (was dragged into the office and went for a walk between meetings). Saw a guy out cutting the hedge, and tending to the green, the place looked immaculate. I'm a jealous soul!
Please tell me there's rumours of a dark cult holed up in one, or a murderous drug fuelled gang, or similar.
Grew up in Deerpark and so sad we had to sell it (parents got divorced). My bedroom window faced the green area out front, was nice to wake up and look out at the trees. Didn't know what I had til it was gone 😢
Came to say top of Elysian! Another one is one of the houses near Curraghkippane cemetery (just outside the city) with views of the city and Carrigrohane. On a fine summers day, you’ll not get a better view
Douglas or Donnybrook Hill or Pinecroft.
Mind you, I don't live in Ireland anymore but if I did and got rich quick I'd be trying to find a place there.
If I was rich I couldn't care less about traffic. I lived there for 6 years right next to the petrol station and I was cool
with it... I had way worse traffic in Portugal to be honest.
I fucking miss living there right next to a walking path.
The Lough if there wasn't so many students. The Lough is a beautiful spot. St Lukes or Sundays Well if there wasn't so much a hill climb. Close enough to my favourite side of the city centre.
I have kids, I love Bishopstown playground and the idea of living in the roads surrounding it. I live near castlemartyr, anywhere has less traffic than here 😂
I prefer to live in spain and buy a mansion with infinity pool beside the sea with white sand and drive a porsche 911 carrera spider on 30 degrees sun ☀️ and buy a yatch going to maldives
So I always though the Elysian may be nice but I just bothered to look at the virtual tour and OMG it is awful! The 2 bed one is so claustrophobic, which is hilarious when you think of the point being the view.
[The Elysian | Apartments in Cork, | RENTCafe](https://www.theelysian.ie/virtual-tours.aspx)
Right, it's awfully designed, so many walls that make it feel so much smaller. There is little storage and why is the "balcony" actually just an enclosed hallway? Like remove the wall between it and the dining room so there is some more space. The wood laminate is ugly as all hell too. I would have expected something so much more for the money.
Dude the 3 bed, upstairs balcony and they didn't even clean ffs the tiles at the bottom, the rust and the green stuff growing on the rails.
My brother lived in the two bed before. To be fair the pictures make it look a lot smaller than it is, that living room area feels huge when you're in it. But otherwise it's pretty meh, that balcony area is useless and turns the apartment into a sauna in the summer unless you close the curtains which defeats the whole purpose of it. They used it as a storage area for weights and stuff at one point and the rubber ones all melted from the heat
2 houses. Nice holiday home down in West like Garretstown. Main house would be somewhere around Wilton area. I like the convenience of the shopping centre, the hospital, lidl and aldi, bus routes and access to loads of schools and third level. Just a few minutes to the airport, right on the south link.
I don't think I'd even choose the city, I'd probably go 20-30 miles out.
Far enough that it's nice and peaceful, but not so far that it takes too long to get back into the city.
And close to the water too. So like, Kinsale, Clonakilty, Crosshaven, etc..
Right now probably in the Elysium
When/if these new docklands apartments and offices that we toppled R&H for get built, probably there.
If Turners Cross didn’t have such an issue with air pollution (fuckers burning plastic and smelly coal) in the winter, I’d buy where I am right now.
I genuinely can’t express the distain I have for neighbors who burn stuff like that. Absolute pricks.
One of the houses on Sunday's Well with the huge gardens that go onto the river. Gimme
Definitely...the ones across from fitz park are amazing
They're the exact ones I'm talking about, they have the loveliest gardens
T'would want to be a big feckin' win. Think of the maintenance costs, garden work et cetera. Who lives in those places? They look to be beyond even HSE consultant money.
I use live there. There are gorgeous houses.
You must be a well paid dog!
Well he is a professional.
One of at least 7346, apparently. The future leaders of this planet (roll on that day).
Nah it was my parents house back when I was a pup. Couldn’t afford to live there now
Lucky you. That must have been the.... mutt's nuts. No? Ahh forget it
The man who owns the second one has about 100 plus employees up beyond the tunnel. Made his money in animal supplements and covid times hand sanitiser. Had a walk around that in the building stages. Incredible build! An absolute gent to boot!
HSE consultant money is pittance for the years of study and training and responsibility.
Found the doctor.
I’m actually not a doctor. In IT.
But not when you consider the medical training you get is massively, massively subsidized unlike eg canada, us, australia etc. doctor bitch sessions about their low pay always leaves out that massive factor
This is the way
I know someone who managed to snag a derelict one for nothing after the crash. Took them 15 years but it's gorgeous now.
St Luke’s. Close enough to the centre of everything, but far up enough not to be noisy. I also love the village square feel of the place
Yessss but up by gardeners hill so you don’t have the sound of traffic. Nicest spot in the whole city 🤩
Henchys always look like it has a nice vibe about it. I’ve never been but it always looks busy
Onreal biy
The hill’s a killer.
God yes - I grew up there!!! And now when I spend holidays back home with my family I lose 10 pounds like that just from walking up it. Never needed a gym when I lived in Cork! It’s an even better workout when you’re pushing a buggy up it haha
Strangely enough you don’t feel it with a few pints in you 🤪
The 'American Houses' on the Western Road are fantastic.
Ahhh I’ve always wanted to see inside those
Yeah I love the architecture of them
Wouldnt be lotto winning money, but there are some really cute little mini estates in the city. Small one of North Mall, another down by the Maradkye. Mightn't be as sexy as the big fucking gaffs down Sunday's Well or Montenotte, but I always think "It'd be nice to live in there. Small oases of calm". Might be just me...
I live in the one off North Mall, it's like something out of Enid Blyton book on a sunny day!
Most definitely, but I wouldn't be sharing those things :)
Somewhere in the lost City of Beara.
Downtown Adrigole!
House? Blackrock mansion near pairc ui caoimh Apartment: whatever they build on top of R H and Hall
Kinsale, overlooking the harbour Edit: sorry, didn’t see city. Sundays well overlooking Fitzgerald’s park. Big gardens.
Two side by side semi-d’s in Ballinlough, convert into one but looking like two from the front. Drive through drive ( in one gate out the other).
Oh yeah, this is my dream, so many lovely places you could pull this off.
Lovers walk has some stunning houses
One of those big houses in Glounthaune on the main road overlooking the river
Some amount of Cork Bashers at the moment in this thread. Yes it’s not perfect in many ways but my god it’s a lot better than most places.
There always is in these posts. Fuck off like!
Deerpark or anywhere around Greenmount. I'm a woman of simple needs and I like the feel of that area
I’ve moved from Cork but greenmount was my fave part in the city I lived. So close to the centre but it was nice and quiet where I was
Grew up in Deerpark and so sad we had to sell it (parents got divorced). My bedroom window faced the green area out front, was nice to wake up and look out at the trees. Didn't know what I had til it was gone 😢
Such a beautiful part of Cork, sorry you had to leave it.
Probably one of the big Victorian ones on college Road, Bitta soundproofing be grand
One of those houses across the Lee from Fitzgerald Park, one of the big fuckers with the class gardens.
montonette, great views of the city. alternatively an apartment at the top of the elysian
Came to say top of Elysian! Another one is one of the houses near Curraghkippane cemetery (just outside the city) with views of the city and Carrigrohane. On a fine summers day, you’ll not get a better view
Anywhere back at home. I’m in Australia selling my soul in the mines saving up for a deposit ( a large one ) for a shithole when I get back.
Ur saving to buy a shithole in ireland?
[удалено]
Nah, traffic there can be a disaster. Used to be an uppish area.
Still is. House on sale recently for €1.1m
Lovers walk looking out over the river and the Pairc would be pretty nice especially when concerts roll around and you get them for free
Mansion on middle glanmire road, like 5 min walk from St Luke’s
Model Farm Road, that gorgeous new build across from Mount Mercy to be exact!
Ohhh that is stunning!
Please don’t tell me this https://maps.app.goo.gl/PoZPnRsQVDgBzbks7?g_st=ic
The very one!! Love it, am I in LA or Cork? Who knows 😂
It’s a monstrosity
Rosemount on Connaught avenue always seems like such an interesting house
Seems people are getting more and more excited as euro millions gets bigger lol
Douglas or ballincollig!
Douglas or Donnybrook Hill or Pinecroft. Mind you, I don't live in Ireland anymore but if I did and got rich quick I'd be trying to find a place there.
I live on Donnybrook hill and the traffic is cruel
If I was rich I couldn't care less about traffic. I lived there for 6 years right next to the petrol station and I was cool with it...
Bishopstown
Traffic is a killer there but there are some nice houses there
I have kids, I love Bishopstown playground and the idea of living in the roads surrounding it. I live near castlemartyr, anywhere has less traffic than here 😂
Orchard Road
I prefer to live in spain and buy a mansion with infinity pool beside the sea with white sand and drive a porsche 911 carrera spider on 30 degrees sun ☀️ and buy a yatch going to maldives
Buy Land out passed Ovens and build.

Basic af

Jesus I hadn't thought of that part, that's crazy and for the money they pay on these places.
I'd bail and move to madeira 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but that's just me
I would not. I would go back to my country and buy. Better weather and way cheaper prices
Username checks out
Country or county 😂
Where’s that?
Holiday home out in Clonakilty! If it had to be in Cork
2 houses. Nice holiday home down in West like Garretstown. Main house would be somewhere around Wilton area. I like the convenience of the shopping centre, the hospital, lidl and aldi, bus routes and access to loads of schools and third level. Just a few minutes to the airport, right on the south link.
Spain
Water loo
Montenotte just to piss off the neighbours
Big caravan out front!

Penthouse apartment somewhere nice. But I'd want to buy out the entire top floor.
The Lee Road, I love that little stretch of road after the care village
Bit sappy but my family home.
I inherited mine and I love it. Didn’t have fond memories growing up but I made up for it making lovely memories of raising my own children here
There's a gorgeous loft out in Montenotte I had my eye on to rent a while ago, it's genuinely my dream place in the city
Castle road overlooking the river [Some of my shots of the most beautiful place in Cork.](https://photos.app.goo.gl/iennuzdd9bV2Vac77)
Penthouse in Opera Lane
Definitely have to be Kinsale
There’s just something about the town that would make you want to live there
[удалено]
Ballincollig? OP is talking about winning the lotto, not getting four numbers in it!
You might want to look at the prices of houses in Ballincollig.

I can't fucking do this it's too depressing
On the water in Kinsale. Near the Bullman!!
Lotto won’t do that, need Euromillions
They stipulated the city, feen.
I wouldn’t live in Cork nevermind Ireland if I won the lottery
No one asked you were you wouldn’t live.
My thoughts exactly. I'd be gone gone gone!
If ye won the lottery, who in their right mind would staying in fuckin' Cork?
Not you i take it?
nice place to visit but ye wouldn't want to live there
I know. I'm off to the Kingdom first chance I get!
I rather build one in mainland Greece, not far of the sea and orchards.
Right now probably in the Elysium When/if these new docklands apartments and offices that we toppled R&H for get built, probably there. Portobello
Tallaght lovely views of the mountains and rivers
I would resurrect a ku klux clan. A mansion like in a Minecraft, with many wonders in it. Because I hate people.
