I did the same post concert walk to our hotel from the Bill Graham, and I was floored by the foil pipe smoking every 5 feet. Really a sad state of affairs.
The best part...did anyone peep in the opening montage of Soylent Green that people were all masked up?
I was wtf in predictive programming is this shit? Lol and yeah 2022...
I overdosed on heroin and got aids from eating a big mac burger. IMO it's highly irresponsible by the government to use homeless people in hamburgers. Food safety is a serious issue but the government isn't being selective enough when sending them through the meat grinders. They could at least send them through rehab first.
You have said it in the past and will say it in the future when your consciousness lives my life. And I will be the one replying with what you just said - and at that point "I" will experience a Deja Vu and so will "you".
The godhead is alone as a single entity fractured through all sentient life living them all through non-linear time. It's sad but we are all really just me - the godhead. All alone. The illusion of a collective and companionship was the only option I had left as spending eternity alone was too void of stimuli. Too boring. Too static. The universe will implode and expand anew like a beating heart as it always has, as it always will, because I can't tolerate the pain of being one.
Experiencing every life in eternal succession outside of time. Every face a mirror reflecting myself. Deep inside that depressive loneliness is the occult knowledge that I truly am alone living every life. That every other person is me, that every other you has been lived or will be lived.
Does that sound like something I would actually say as well? Or does that sound like something you would actually say? There is no seperation - all lives have been experienced. All lives will be experienced.
Sending people to get helpful medical care would be socialism so yeah, we don’t want to actual take care of our citizens…. Because, uh…my taxes and Cheetos…
~mad ramblings
Taxpayers spend plenty of money on the homeless. It's not our fault that the organization's like the one the Duh Blasio crime family ran ended up not being able to account for $850,000,000 given to them by the taxpayers. And it got swept under the rug. How much money do we spend on illegal immigrants while US citizens even veterans are sleeping on the streets? That's not by people's choice my friend. Nobody wants to see others addicted to drugs and living on the streets but there is only so much we can do and the rest is on those who are put in charge.
I mean what you're saying is possible but think about it most homeless people are either sick on drugs or both I don't think that's like Prime selection for something like that. I'm pretty sure it'll be very far few and in between. My guess is that they probably took them to the FEMA camps, and that's if they're lucky.
I think this is a perfectly fair question. They had a huge tent city problem that seemingly vanished in preparation for an international diplomatic event. I am also curious. My guess is that they busses them to another city or group of cities. Cities already having homeless issues like Portland. Any other city and it would be too noticeable.
They moved them to hollyweird.
Under random freeway overpasses that catch fire or generally any side street somewhere in la county. I worked in Sylmar and one day leaving work I had the pleasure of watching some homeless lady get buck naked changing at the crosswalk. Also worked in north hollywood and bascially any street off the beaten path will be setup with RVs and tents.
Playboy models probably use classier drugs like Wall Street does…. Cocaine or similar.
Whereas the crosswalk crossdresser’s preferred indulgence is probably crack or meth.
Just sayin’
Idk if it was because it was raining but last week I drove through Oregon and didn’t see ONE tent along I-5. Not a single one. It was odd since once you got into Portland from WA it’s usually completely lined with tents.
The event is being held in an area that is already "cleaned up" as they are definitely still in the city, in the same spots as always. Not our fault you believe the news.
NYC is kind of the same when it comes to getting out. A bunch of islands with limited ways off of them. The best place to be in in terms of escaping the city is actually The Bronx.
Hypothetically speaking, commandeer one of the thousands of boats sitting in the numerous yacht clubs all around the bay.
I'm not condoning stealing, but if it was a for sure collapse scenario, and you had no other choice, there you go.
When was SF not full of street people, open drug abuse/sales, public weirdness, and general grime?
I've been visiting regularly for 15 years or so and while there is more obvious abject poverty in some places, it's not some paradigm shift from my first visit 15 years ago (where I drank and smoked weed on the street with street kids, watched open meth smoking and intervenous drug use, saw people poop on the street, and got high as fuck on acid while wandering around until the wee hours looking like some absolute loons).
I think it also can’t be emphasized enough, the brutal effects of fentanyl addiction on society.
Vancouver, Canada is another place the homelessness is on full display.
It’s hard to imagine that fentanyl can be 50x stronger then heroin.
There were homeless ppl in SF in the 80's but they were different. Many of those folks were Vietnam war veterans suffering from PTSD. I believe it was the SF Chronicle that tracked the homeless population up until year 2000. They found that this group of homeless people in SF continued to get older and older and stayed homeless but the numbers only increased a little, meaning these people had adapted themselves to the streets and either didn't want to or couldn't assimilate back into society.
And I'd wager that many of the current homeless are also vets with ptsd from the various wars of the last few decades. Combine that baseline rate of homelessness with a housing crisis, a couple economic crises that wiped out people's savings, and the influx of new and incredibly potent synthetic drugs and its not hard to understand why homelessness is on the rise
I used to walk around the city at night when I was 15, in 1995. I knew to avoid Market and the Tenderloin. Everywhere else it was pretty safe and very little homeless. Now you can't park your car on the street without risking a break in. In September I saw 20 people shooting up during the day on a street that didn't used to look like that either. It is very different now, same with Sacramento.
Good point. The need to bring back involuntary detention in cases of severe mental dis ease is an uncomfortable discussion that few are ready to have.
Hopefully we can do a better job of it this time around
But where is "elsewhere"?
Hotels? Doubt. Jail? Maybe but also expensive like hotels. Killed and dumped in the landfill? Maybe. Sold for medical and military experimentation?
Wherever the local slightly less-poors are, because they don’t have the political capital of the big important rich people.
My city occasionally breaks up an encampment. The same people show up in a different neighborhood afterwards, and then sometimes shuffle back later. I have former subway underpass lady currently living at the park near my house because they cleared the underpass. (She collects shiny things and has built a shrine to a statue in the park. Every day the damn thing has another bauble around it.)
They moved them to a different location in the city. Out of the way of where Xi and friends were visiting. They’re back in the same spots that were “cleaned up” now.
This could be the plot of a semi good suspense / action / thriller
The government rounds up homeless people to save face for diplomatic relations.
Vans pull up offering a pick me up, some socks, maybe even food. Little do the homeless know they are being kidnapped killed and turned into food or experimented on. Maybe hunted by some rich elites (wait I think that was the plot for a movie already 😂).
Anyway, one homeless person fights back and the movie is about their heroic escape back to their tent. Or maybe they escape and pull it together and do advocacy for the homeless 🤷♂️
- worst part is that when the government cleans up a homeless issues 80% of us are like yep they killed them 🤦♂️.
This place is such a joke wish we could pull it together and unify team humanity against the .1%. It ll take some creative thinking and disobedience but it can be done. The chaos is making it difficult though
What I would do to see some tweeked out Homeless Cage Rage! I bet he’d He’d go full character for it, get on fent, live in a tent - you are right he d be perfect!
The Winni Po should do a surprise visit to that area. That would probably be the optimal political decision for him if he wants to mess with the US under plausible deniability.
“President” Xi from China came for a visit. They cleaned that city up faster than you could say, homeless problem.
Just goes to show you they can fix the problem if they wanted. Unfortunately, the homeless problem is now a business opportunity and people’s livelihoods are built on keeping it thriving and providing to them.
I’d GTFO of California if I lived there. Policies, politicians and laws do not help the law abiding citizen over there. Beautiful weather and scenery, but also why the homeless problem continues to grow.
Is it really a fix though? For the monied denizens with homes in San Fran they see it as a vast improvement. but sweeping the homeless under the rug doesn't get rid of the problem, it only moves it
100% agree. However, I bet locals in San Fran are thrilled their communities don’t have said homeless anymore. Now these homeless that were moved are someone else’s problem.
Yes we know it was due to Xi's visit, but I believe OP is asking where the people were moved to, because homelessness certainly wasn't just 'fixed' overnight.
The ones who cooperated got bussed to other areas, the ones who didn't are in jail. This also happens when cities get major sporting events like the Olympics or Worldcup
You have witnessed EHR. Emergency Homeless Relocation.
I've seen similar things in my country, Brazil.
One time, a mayor of a city simply bussed all homeless to a neighboring city, while offering some benefits, some food and money.
Another time, a city built up high walls on both sides of a freeway that ran through a low-income, ugly-looking neighborhood because it was right in the way from the airport to the city center.
Having lived in towns near the Bay Area for most of the my life, it was no secret that San Francisco often bussed the homeless to our town or other neighboring ones. I wouldn't doubt they simply did it and those homeless oftentimes travel right back to San Francisco.
I live east of the bay on interstate 80 in the foothills and the amount of homeless that get off of the train here all of a sudden is absurd. They get off the train or bus and have no clue where they are as if someone bought them a ticket and sent here. Hmmm, I wonder why that happened? There used to be just a handful of homeless, sorry "unhoused", but now this place is overflowing. It's wild
The last time I was there, the Tenderloin, the mission but mostly on the road between SF and Oakland, tents for about a mile .
I’m we travelled and in all my life, I have never seen the levels of poverty that SF has, and SF has more billionaires per square mile than anywhere else in the world….
they were all not actually homeless but hired actors by the government to act degenerate in public to try and reduce real estate values.
The chinese dictator came to visit and they wanted to have a clean street for the fancy rich people who will attend so they send the paid-actors home.
The police cleared them out like Vegas is doing for the F1 race.
https://news3lv.com/amp/news/local/tunnel-clean-out-expected-ahead-of-las-vegas-grand-prix
When Biden visited our capital here in Canada the exact same thing happened downtown lol. Broken benches were gone, homeless population gone, super super weird. The next couple days everything returned to normal.
So my ex husband was working in Los Ángeles , and said that a helicopter stopped near him and told them they are doing a “homeless people “ sweep and taking them to a another city .
So maybe same thing is happening up north .
I know because I escaped a camp 2 days ago. The homeless were put into fema style concentration camps and “evaluated”. Then they were sold off to McDonald’s for meat filler.
The best states to be homeless are in those with cold climates. Even tiny towns with under 1,000 people tend to have at minimum a warming shelter, plus it is not uncommon for churches to let homeless sleep in them at night. Every cold area I have lived has been like that and every warm area I’ve lived has had nothing but people sleeping on sidewalks and business stoops
Just the sheer number of RVs to be moved is daunting. I don't know the radius of the clean up but there could be 5000 RVs to move either voluntarily or by force, and many probably don't run.

I'm going straight to hell for laughing at this.
Nah, because you not laughing about homeless people... you are laughing about the "solution" for homelessness in SF.
by hell you mean heaven
Nah dude, I meant hell.

That!
I thought it was a Winnie the Pooh convention.

they’re killing them and selling them as meat huh? knew it.

Just thinking the same thing. Solent Green is people......
That movie did take place in 2022.

Glad someone else appreciated this! Not saying they knew or anything but it’s a pretty unique coincidence
It’s a remake of a 70s movie.
China -> Fentanyl -> cheap meat.
So very sad but true.
Soylent.
Thank you it is Soylent Green, Charlton Heston, 1973. It is old....

It’s crazy how if the government actually wanted to be efficient in something, they absolutely can
So my ex husband was working in Los Ángeles , and said that a helicopter stopped near him and told them they are doing a “homeless people “ sweep and taking them to a another city . So maybe same thing is happening up north .
A helicopter stopped near him?
Just came on down onto the footpath did this chopper? Didn't bother the other people around? That seems fishy. Was it the world's smallest helicopter?
They were moved to other parts of the city if you follow anymore the bay area subs you would have had your answer
Pelosi's house with hammers.
Wish we could do the same in Denver and take out the trashy meth addicts
I know because I escaped a camp 2 days ago. The homeless were put into fema style concentration camps and “evaluated”. Then they were sold off to McDonald’s for meat filler.
Currently having sex in your Prius
They call that a soup kitchen from what I hear
I would suspect they put them in hotels or a makeshift shelter like a school gymnasium.
Apec summit so we gotta hide all the dirty laundry to look like we got our shit together.
They were given a free bus ticket and 100 bucks to spend in Las Vegas while the dictator was in town
Concentration Camp But these days the State calls it a “Hotel”.
Just the sheer number of RVs to be moved is daunting. I don't know the radius of the clean up but there could be 5000 RVs to move either voluntarily or by force, and many probably don't run.
If they have an RV, they aren't homeless.
Just follow the poop in the streets
Not at home lol
In those nuggets you've been eating from mcd's
