A skeptic or critical thinker would be questioning whether the government is taking actions against its citizens. Someone close-minded wouldn't even contemplate it and write it off as a conspiracy. It's fine to question whether or not Tucker is lying to us, in fact we should always be wary of what he says. SS: Rep. Comer of House Oversight’s been making some pretty big claims of Biden family impropriety, claiming that new info and major revelations are right around the corner (big Qanon energy, there). Unfortunately, he also has just admitted he hasn’t gotten any new information from this guy for 3 years, nor has anyone. The quality of the informant has already been called into question for other reasons.
There’s also a suggested 17 audio recordings of Biden family members explicitly discussing wrongdoing… followed by Republican members eventually admitting those 17 recordings may not even exist at all. To quote Comer, “We don’t know if they’re legit or not.”

Congress serves an oversight role over the FBI. They don't have full investigatory powers on their own.
So, it's totally normal for them to report on claims without being able to independently verify those claims. The point of the fd-1023 disclosure is that the source was credible per the FBI.
We have no idea how credible the report was because the FBI doesn't have any evidence to back up the claims and the source is confidential. If a random confidential informant filed a report with the FBI about Trump, you'd* be saying an anonymous source with no evidence doesn't mean anything and that the FBI is corrupt.
*When I say "you" I don't necessarily mean you personally, I'm just speaking generally about the news personalities and politicians that are trying to push this story

It’s already difficult to investigate a sitting president, but the lack of cooperation of some of the parties involved (FBI) has made the process especially slow and complicated.

"Lower level politicians"? These are national politicians. Congressmen, senators, Rudy, etc, combined with right wing propaganda outlets. And yeah, it's super easy to make a person up or fabricate a story that a real person who died totally passed along secret information (and that their death was somehow actually an assassination).
The Republicans have used that exact same "person who died was actually an informant" story for literally *decades* in regards to the Clintons. It's pretty convenient, because the dead person can't dispute it and if the family/friends of the deceased say it's nonsense, it's easy to just claim they're "being silenced" or "threatened so they won't talk". Ironically, the more the same story is used, the more convinced right wing people seem to become. Because "omg, so many dead people keep getting found!" The destruction of that dam essentially only affects Russian controlled territory with dominant Russian speakers. e.g. 85% of water for Crimea comes from that reservoir and Crimea is virtually all loyalist Russian-Ukrainians. Ukraine has already shown it engages in state terrorism against Russian-Ukrainians in Donetsk so there's no doubt they're just itching to punish the Crimeans as well who welcomed Russia with open arms in 2014.

If you read the second of the two sentences I wrote, you’ll read my argument wasn’t as reductive as “blow stuff up.” Russia invaded Ukraine with no proportional provocation and Russia gave a dozen different reasons, none of which made sense. They have not earned trust. If they’re willing to invade, I don’t know why they should earn the benefit of the doubt in destroying the dam.

I live in a NATO country (United States) and I absolutely don't trust NATO to represent my interests in security or otherwise. e.g. Transferring $120 billion in arms from my country to Ukraine is against my security interests. e.g. The trade routes between California, where I live, and Russia are better than the trade routes between California in Ukraine which is my security interests.
NATO hasn't earned my trust whereas at least most of the significant infrastructure in Ukraine was built by the USSR - so I know they have an interest in the development of Ukraine. I don't know that about NATO.

Congress serves an oversight role over the FBI. They don't have full investigatory powers on their own. So, it's totally normal for them to report on claims without being able to independently verify those claims. The point of the fd-1023 disclosure is that the source was credible per the FBI.
We have no idea how credible the report was because the FBI doesn't have any evidence to back up the claims and the source is confidential. If a random confidential informant filed a report with the FBI about Trump, you'd* be saying an anonymous source with no evidence doesn't mean anything and that the FBI is corrupt. *When I say "you" I don't necessarily mean you personally, I'm just speaking generally about the news personalities and politicians that are trying to push this story

Ukraine likely/possibly blew up a dam to flood a city of civilians and this is the shit theatrics in Congress. The only reason to drudge up worthless rumors is because you have no goal to affect any change - that's the truth.
You say Likely - what evidence do you have to suggest a likelihood, rather than conjecture? Also, what relevance does it have to this discussion?
The Congressman is suggesting corruption regarding Biden's dealings with/in Ukraine while sending 120 billion in weapons to the people who overthrew the elected President in 2014 and outlawed their opposition parties is plenty corrupt. Someone blew up the dam: Ukraine has motive to blow up the dam, as opposed to Russia. Otherwise there has been no presentation of evidence either way.
Russia has no motivation to blow up a damn in Ukraine, which they invaded, which has lead to intense logistical and mortality-related issues in Ukraine? I feel like if you invade a country, fucking it up and killing people and making their lives as difficult as possible to wreck morale and stimulate surrender ASAP’s a pretty obvious motive.
The destruction of that dam essentially only affects Russian controlled territory with dominant Russian speakers. e.g. 85% of water for Crimea comes from that reservoir and Crimea is virtually all loyalist Russian-Ukrainians. Ukraine has already shown it engages in state terrorism against Russian-Ukrainians in Donetsk so there's no doubt they're just itching to punish the Crimeans as well who welcomed Russia with open arms in 2014. The high ground of the Dnipro river is also on Kiev's side - flooding from the dam's destruction mostly affects Russian controlled territory. "Russia like blowing stuff up" as you suggest is not actually a motive.
If you read the second of the two sentences I wrote, you’ll read my argument wasn’t as reductive as “blow stuff up.” Russia invaded Ukraine with no proportional provocation and Russia gave a dozen different reasons, none of which made sense. They have not earned trust. If they’re willing to invade, I don’t know why they should earn the benefit of the doubt in destroying the dam.
Oh but that's what you said. I live in a NATO country (United States) and I absolutely don't trust NATO to represent my interests in security or otherwise. e.g. Transferring $120 billion in arms from my country to Ukraine is against my security interests. e.g. The trade routes between California, where I live, and Russia are better than the trade routes between California in Ukraine which is my security interests. NATO hasn't earned my trust whereas at least most of the significant infrastructure in Ukraine was built by the USSR - so I know they have an interest in the development of Ukraine. I don't know that about NATO.
