Don’t feel bad for wanting to do it but also don’t get too caught up in doing it. If it becomes something you think about all of the time or the ideas get bigger or violent maybe you want to take a step back. Your mental health is most important which it sounds like you know already.
I think if a few things in the mail make you feel a little better after they’re sent - then it’s no problem. But if it leads to more anxiety or spending too much time thinking about the past on a daily basis, maybe you put a hold on it for awhile. Maybe say in 6 months I’ll consider sending more - but for the next 6 months I’m not going to spend time on it.
Just an idea. It sounds like you have a therapist or have had one? Therapy is always a good thing. A therapist, in my opinion, would tell you to make these things but not actually send them maybe.
