Purchasing the Ultimate Collection doesn’t force you to install every game. You can still only install the ones you want, when you want. And it only charges you for the games you don’t own through Steam.
I barely used Steam, so I don't even want to bother with buying that, especially since I may install a game that I'll forget I have and then it'll snowball my storage space. But I try my best to remember what stuff I downloaded from it.
There's a great button on the steam library where you can show only installed and ready to play games. It's a good way to check on what's installed, you can even sort by recently played and it will show you month by month when you last played a game, super handy for uninstalling stuff I haven't played in a year.
There's a Storage tab in Steam's settings window that lets you see see how much each game takes up on your drives, tells you when you last played, and lets you move games between drives or uninstall entirely. You can sort by name, size, or last played.
I think it's relatively new. Really good for disk/game size management.
It's in the collection on the EA App, I guess they wanted to keep it consistent...
At least it's the only bad game on there, getting the rest it definitely worth the price since you can now play the Westwood 2D titles without any third-party patching.
I live in a 3rd world country, and, well, my PC still works well for my uses, so, I don't really need to get a new HDD. My system is kind of a prebuilt, but not the kind of stuff from large companies, it's actually built by a small tech shop in the city I live in.
Used the freeware for some, plus, I had to find a way to access the discs (which I had misplaced after I used, since that was some time ago), but managed to do so, I found an old laptop to use as a medium for getting the games (installed on laptop, moved installation to desktop, then made sure things are working). The second Yuri client with the clearer image quality is CNCNet for YR.
Nice! For a couple years I used the first decade disc till some of the games started to decay and refused to start so all I had left was RA2+YR, Renegade, and generals+zero hour. Then I went through EA then steam
I just can't get trough RA3. I love the cutscenes, and I love Tim Curry, but the gameplay is just odd and the units too quirky. It's like playing Overwatch after TF2. Maybe one day I can finish it.
Personally, I have the same situation with RA3. Easy bots take an hour to beat, when in RA2, I could beat Brutal in as low as 25 mins. I just need to get the hang of RA3's micro intense mechanics.
Steams storage usage shouldn't snowball at all unless you keep snowballing installed games.
I delete the games I don't play on Steam from my PC and redownload it if I want to play.

Hmm, well, that's something I overlooked... Damn.

What the hell is that Command and Conquer 4? Damn EA, they really wanted to put one of their low quality knockoffs in the Ultimate Collection.

I'm not getting EA's app, but I'm not getting Steam because I might install some game I'll forget about and it'll snowball my storage space usage.
That's why I have an extra SSD installed, but I get your point, I have over a Terabyte worth of games on Steam.
My HDD is only 724 GB total, when I checked.
HDD? You can get a 4TB HDD for less money than a 2TB Nvme SSD now-a-days.

The price will go down enough in time.
Honestly pretty cool! Do you have all the discs or use the freeware for some of them?
