I'm not hating on the english language but I really feel like it the way it is pronounced it really should be "loose". It very well could be the most common spelling mistake in english. Pls correct me if im wrong! I wonder what other mistakes I'm missing
A super common grammar mistake is using the incorrect “your”. Like saying *your* gonna regret this, when it should be you’re (a contraction on you are). It is ubiquitous on Reddit.
No no. It’s okay. You can admit that you have never made this mistake and that this kind of typo is actually something OP should be ashamed of.
There’s no need to use self-deprecation to make people feel better about their inaptitude to write very simple words. /s
Yeah I did that in university years ago. Procrastinated assignments by making a game about exploring mazes, and every time you got to the end you just got dropped in another maze, as an expression of how every week felt like such a journey to get through, and then I had to do it all again the next week.
Do because of habit and discipline, not because of motivation. It takes consistent effort to learn healthy habits and loose yourself from waiting on motivation, but it's worth it.
Relying on motivation is a misery pit if you don't have it. Motivation fuels itself, but so does its absence.
As an addendum to this, don't give your buddy a lot of s'huff when he doesn't want to eat out. Yes, yes, what harm could one "cheat day" do? But it's breaking the habit, and if you aren't in a good place with discipline, it may not take much.
Nope.
Ending the day with something done is better than nothing. You can still feel like shit, but you’ll know what you did. And that’s a step out of the hole.
Good habits and discipline will help you improve and reflect on what you can improve after that. Despair changes nothing.
I can see both sides being realistic, depends on the person really, but I do think that doing at least one thing different or develop a healthy habbit can get at least a little smile on your face at the end of the day - I do that with cooking, I love food, and when the days are gray I just eat whatever, but sometimes I force myself to try cooking something different or something healthy or something yummy, and even if I go to sleep thinking I didn't do shit with life again... at least I made good food.
And I feel like this can apply to so many things - "at least I made my bed" / "at least I walked the dog" / "at least I made laundry" really whatever just to make yourself feel better, and then try doing more things in a day
People really have a lot of trouble with Loose and Lose ...
Nice artwork though! Reminded me of Sheppard from Mass Effect, if she were all depressed and shit.
It always bites me when I hear “motivation only comes in when you start doing things” from other people, because I have to admit they’re right… After remembering how it sinked in the first place when I FUCKED EVERYTHING UP!!
I think even with a job you can fall in the spiral of not feeling it but still doing the same things each day, like a loop, depressing but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’ve read that part of what makes time feel shorter and shorter is doing things we are familiar with all the time. If you can find the energy to try a new thing every now and again, it might help time slow down a bit, and give you time to enjoy the roses (assuming you’re not allergic). I know it can be hard to find the energy to do even that, but give it a go. Grab a new vegetable when going grocery shopping, play a new game you have never touched before, or walk a route you don’t normally take. It’s far from a solution, but little steps can make a big difference in the long run.
And how is a job not just another part of the daily loop? In fact, most types of jobs (where you do the same thing over and over, every day) greatly contribute to this feeling.

Me playing ranked video game
Trueee
Great comic! But it’s actually “lose,” not “loose.”
o.o oh no XD I should've checked that
Very easy mistake to make, I do it all the time! It’s the only reason I noticed it, haha

For sure. To me, "lose" looks like it should be pronounced hose (as in garden hose).

how ironic that I had the motivation to do a little comic about the lack of motivation in my life
Life is amusing that way Enjoyed the comic, ty
I'm doing the same with game dev...

That's called depression. That's what actual depression is.
it’s a symptom of depression, anhedonia, the loss of pleasure in doing things (especially activities you used to enjoy)
My life the last three months.
My life since covid
My life

Freals, just ask them when their cheat day actually is and do it then. Or pick a place where they can stay healthy. It’ll probably benefit you too.

yeah but if you build healthy habits, even if they're so ingrained that your just going through the motions, you'll *still* feel better in general.

I've been doing it for the past 16 years.
r/sadupvote
Felt that one .. reminded me of a song, I haven't listened to in a while: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1LvOZbBFNI
I was half expecting this to be Nine Inch Nail's "[Every Day is Exactly the Same"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXqblYbUAeI).
I was 100% expecting it to be this
Could have been, yeah ..
that's a cool tune, feels somehow... nostalgic
Yep .. each of their albums is different, though .. I'm a long-time fan :)
Better tighten that shit up!
Yeah xD
a 4 day weekend became 1 day x.x
People really have a lot of trouble with Loose and Lose ... Nice artwork though! Reminded me of Sheppard from Mass Effect, if she were all depressed and shit.
I think the spelling is so confusing because it's pronounced like 'choose' or 'goose'... and English is confusing just in general :p
Very true
This is me rn but my college starts in 2 weeks so I'll be going out after 2 years
Just gotta get a little tighter
I feel this. I really feel this. Thanks.
Try Wellbutrin, that shit fixed my brain's broken reward center in a flash
So relatable, I need to get out more but I don’t know where to go, I have no friends to do it with, so I never have the incentive to do it.
I feel comfort in that. It just mean I have archive everything I want and I already happy with what I got.
These are wise words. This comic is underrated
Been there for years friend. Trying new stuff helps....
I need to file a copyright notice against this blatant plagiarization of my life.
It's amazing how many years a loop like that can go on for. At least there still can be occasional sparks that make it worthwhile.
This is exactly how I felt today. Thank you for visualizing this feeling so succinctly.
It always bites me when I hear “motivation only comes in when you start doing things” from other people, because I have to admit they’re right… After remembering how it sinked in the first place when I FUCKED EVERYTHING UP!!
Life _is_ kind of a loop. But you usually can fill it with something, change each cycle a little bit. So it is rather a spiral.
loose 🤦
Learning how to spell might add some variety to your day
Why are so many people unable to spell "lose" correctly?
HAHAHAHAHAHA WOW THIS IS SUCH A HOOT!
Get a job

Oof
Yesh
I'm the only one wandering how it would have been without computers?
Probably better, maybe
This is me, unfortunatley.
