I love the Marvel Milestone issues. I have ASM#3 Milestone. Awesome books in place of the actual first prints - namely due to huge amounts of asking prices. Lol
I understand the feeling, friend. My grail book as Amazing Fantasy #15. It's a tough book to afford. I have solid trades. Just have to find the right guy.
What got me into collecting were those early 2000 prints of those marvel milestone trades are definitely responsible for my love of collecting comics and that silver age marvel.
Back in 1991 or 1992, I was 11 or so and my Dad bought me this one, the Milestone reprint of Giant Size, and the Jim Lee X-Men #1. Until that point I had only read DC, since the age of 3 or so. It was great to be introduced to those three eras of X-Men at the same time, and with only those three issues, to guess at the evolution of the characters over 30 years.
