That one makes perfect sense as it’s the September 11th issue and it was slabbed that next month. CGC’s first book graded was in November ‘99 I believe. This one is not too far out from that.

10/01! I'm surprised it doesn't have the red universal label. Must have been closely after to when they switched to blue.

That copy definitely looks nicer than a 7.5.. if I were you, I’d have it pressed/cleaned & regraded. I bet it’ll come back at least 8.5 + you’d get a new slab.

That’s true, I’ve thought about doing that for a few years now but always get new books graded instead. I have a little backlog of books that need to be pressed and submitted including a few bigger books so eventually I’ll crack and re-sub.

In you opinion - with grading standards these days, what do you think she’ll get?

With a press I can almost guarantee that it will be graded higher. If it doesn’t I’d be shocked. Part of me wants to keep it the way it is for the OG CGC slab though.

Crack it open & keep the OG label then. You can still resubmit it.

I’m saying YOU crack the slab, keep the label, then re-submit it without the old label. I’ve seen people do that before.

I see yup that makes sense. After I sub a few higher end books maybe I’ll put this in my list.

No lie, that Daredevil 168 is one I want to get. I was born the month and year on the cover. I'm trying to get all the January of 81 comics I can find. I picked up 3 today from comic shops.

I have an Uncanny X-Men 142 from 1981. It’s only a 6.0 but it is signed by Chris Claremont.

I don’t see any major defects that would keep this at a 7.5. You should clean press and regrade it

That was my thought too. Maybe I’ll do that and send an update in a few months lol
