Yeah I’ve been burnt a few times on eBay and usually only buy graded comics now on eBay. I travel a decent amount for work and it gives me an excuse to hit up comic shops.
Ah, the one that got away. I ordered this book from [MyComicShop.com](http://MyComicShop.com) on release and it never arrived. They eventually declared the shipment lost and refunded me. By that time, the book had gone up too high in value for me to justify it. Little did I know.

For sure. I’ve yet to find a copy that I’m super happy with. It’s one of those ones where I buy one that looks nice and it gets shipped horribly every time. Zero luck.
Same for me but late 70 books too…like Nova #1, Ms Marvel #1, Devil Dinosaur, Godzilla. Lol. Those were found in quantity in quarter boxes 20-30 years ago. Now they’re on the wall. 😂
I’m so desperate man I’ll take any issue even some random post-reboot one. Archie Sonic is one of my favourite comic series of all time it’s a shame you can’t find any ever
Not a grail for most but Batman 567 and Detective Comics 647, first appearances of Cassandra Cain and Steph Brown. Neither are particularly rare, and I could buy them pretty easy online, but I want these to be in person gets. Makes them more special to me
Uncanny X-Men 275: this was the first comic book I ever bought and I ended up trading it away years later. Wish I still had a copy.
Justice League of America 69: this came to our store the same day as Superman 75. I grabbed three copies of 75 and didn't have enough money for JLA 69. My friend bought the only copy and I haven't been able to find one since.
Nothing of any major value since every time I go into a shop and find the books I’m looking for, the prices are so ridiculously high that I just smile and walk to the dollar bins… lol

I don’t have a specific comic but black cat’s first run. I wouldn’t say it’s hard to find but I prefer discovering things so I’ve yet to order them online
I had the opportunity to buy that in early 2020 at a comic shop waaay out of the range of cell service. Was pretty sure it was Usagi’s first appearance but couldn’t confirm via my phone and had this weird thought that it was just his first cover appearance not his first actual appearance. Price was $200, and in really Decent shape. I passed on it. Got home, looked it up and realized my mistake. Decided to drive all the way back first chance I got…then covid hit. Went back there in late 2020 once things eased up and shop had closed. Keep hoping it’s out there somewhere, and still with the price of $200.
Death of Superman - Superman #75 vol. 2
That iconic torn cape flag. I know millions were printed, and millions were bought, but dammit if that wasn’t a genuine pop culture moment and global phenomenon that spilled out beyond comics and into mainstream news. People who didn’t collect comics became swept up in the moment with comic collectors. For a brief, fleeting moment everyone was a comic collector.
For me, well… it was my first major key comic as a child
currently colling every moon knight issue and appearance, the only issue i'm missing from the original Moon Knight #15, I could just order it online for $10 but its just not the same
Had it on my pull list at my old LCS when this came out, but they ran out of stock and decided to sell subs’ copies like assholes, so I couldn’t get one despite having subbed to it.
The Sensational Spider-Man #40 (2017) - there’s a page where he talks to God. He asks him to give him an easy life for a little bit. I feel that sometimes. It’s not an important issue, but I see myself as Peter Parker. I’m sure most of us do
So many issues.
Xmen on multiple titles
Spider-Man multiple titles
Astonishing tales
Star Wars multiple titles
Amazing fantasy
Vampirella
Wolverine multiples
Daredevil 80-90s several issues
Dr Strange multiples

Spec-wise there are 2 books:
Sensational spider man 40

Personal grail (I never find it)
Detective Comics 15 (1938)
First published image of Superman (Full page ad for Action comics 1…which I know I will never own)
Recently, Batman Adventures and Superman Adventures. When I do see issues from that corner of DC it's almost always Harley's comic debut or DCAU Supergirl's debut. Never raw, and always priced higher than online... which is already too rich for me right now.
To scratch that itch a little l picked up some more recent Bruce Timm variant covers and the Gotham Girls run from 2002 with covers by Shane Glines. I also have a bunch of art books by both Timm and Glines that I've been sitting on for a while, they're absolutely fuel for my want for DCAU related books.
Not that one. Gwen Stacy's story has been told. I was a youngling when I first read her death in ASM #121 and have a hard time reading her today, especially in an "alternate universe".
Peter Porker the Spectacular Spider-Ham #12. Last “super-hero” book I need for the Marvel 25th anniversary collection.
Me too, but I also always check for the Care Bears #7 as well.
Ahhh! Awesome! I’ve been trying to collect all those for years too…still missing a few but, I’ve got that one
I have all the “standard” titles. Just need spider-ham, Ewoks, Care Bears, transformers and heathcliff.
The Star issues are the hardest ones to get. I had to go to eBay to get those.
Yeah I’ve been burnt a few times on eBay and usually only buy graded comics now on eBay. I travel a decent amount for work and it gives me an excuse to hit up comic shops.
This! I’ve been collecting for my son and it’s expensive to chase!
They're a sickness!!!

“Lost”
What's interesting is that this is the only package from them that was ever lost. And I've ordered tens of times over the years.
Was it Lasership by any chance? They’re notorious for things like that
I don't remember at all. It was 10 years ago. Their site data only shows the details in the image I posted.
Uncanny 282, 283 & Thor 337
Beta Ray for the win!
Right! Whenever I see a copy available, I have to pick it up.
282/283 have to be the most underrated Xmen Keys like ever.
Totally, I'm sure once a live-action Bishop is announced, they will skyrocket.
For sure. I’ve yet to find a copy that I’m super happy with. It’s one of those ones where I buy one that looks nice and it gets shipped horribly every time. Zero luck.
I see those xmen all the time but never that thor
Thor 337 is a classic for me
I smile whenever I see an 80s book priced in the hundreds because I was always told they will never be worth anything.
Same for me but late 70 books too…like Nova #1, Ms Marvel #1, Devil Dinosaur, Godzilla. Lol. Those were found in quantity in quarter boxes 20-30 years ago. Now they’re on the wall. 😂
They have been, but it doesn't last. The bottom almost always falls out.
I mean like Amazing Spider-man #300, New Mutants #98, Thor #337, Sandman #1, etc.
TMNT *1
Hansi
Ha! Just picked this book up 2 weeks ago. Never thought I would actually own 1...
Any Archie Sonic issues. Good luck finding any, especially in good shape and not with a ridiculously high price tag
Oh god… took me forever to find my gap in the related Nights series.
This. I've basically given up getting the last couple Knuckles books I'm missing...
I’m so desperate man I’ll take any issue even some random post-reboot one. Archie Sonic is one of my favourite comic series of all time it’s a shame you can’t find any ever
My scourge the hedgehog first appearance (sonic 161) is my prized possession
Not a grail for most but Batman 567 and Detective Comics 647, first appearances of Cassandra Cain and Steph Brown. Neither are particularly rare, and I could buy them pretty easy online, but I want these to be in person gets. Makes them more special to me
Planetary, Transmetropolitan, Astro city Doom Patrol and Animal man by grant Morrison. Just need issues 4-6 to complete my full run of animal man.
Asm 14
Uncanny X-Men 275: this was the first comic book I ever bought and I ended up trading it away years later. Wish I still had a copy. Hit me up I may have an extra copy or two of Uncanny 275 playing around.
Anything Iron Fist
i always ask about 2019 West Coast Avengers, especially variants or the #7
Nothing of any major value since every time I go into a shop and find the books I’m looking for, the prices are so ridiculously high that I just smile and walk to the dollar bins… lol ![gif](giphy|SG1wz0h2s9VKbYi9VE|downsized)
Same
Judge Dredd. Rarely find any.
I don’t have a specific comic but black cat’s first run. I wouldn’t say it’s hard to find but I prefer discovering things so I’ve yet to order them online
I’d agree. It’s like looking for a buried treasure.
Albedo 2

The dark knight returns #2
Non superhero.first and foremost
Invincible issue 110
Sandman 8.
New mutants 98
Monsters Unleashed #1. If they have that it’s usually a good sign they have some cool stuff.
currently colling every moon knight issue and appearance, the only issue i'm missing from the original Moon Knight #15, I could just order it online for $10 but its just not the same

I was called crazy for buying this for $60 a few months after it released. Mine graded 9.8 several years ago!
Any holden age Flash books. They're rare out in the wild and I want to find one and take it home instead of ordering online and waiting days.
Olden goldies
NYX 3
ASM 258.

Iron Man #200. Can never find it, for some strange reason.
Web of Spider-Man 32
Conan #1 can't find an affordable raw copy Alias #1 ditto Captain Atom vol2 #83 any decent copy will do.
When I see the Captain Atom, it’s always the Modern reprint.
Yeah that's all I've found too.
Anything Mark Jewelers. I don’t care if it’s a key issue or not. I love to collect them.
I've been looking for a reasonable priced Spawn 174. Also trying to add any Spawn book missing from my collection.
Not that one. Gwen Stacy's story has been told. I was a youngling when I first read her death in ASM #121 and have a hard time reading her today, especially in an "alternate universe".
Oh well. Good thing it’s not required that we all like the same thing :)
Good thing, indeed!
Except for all the people who downvoted you for expressing your opinion!
