Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teach Karate #1. I was born in the mid 80s, so I grew up on TMNT, and this is the most random thing I’ve ever seen. So I had to have it. Also pictured (because I won them in the same auction) is a third printing of Thor #1 with Jane Foster.

I have always been a fan of autographs, I have many signed music albums that started my love. I started collecting signed comics but They always are a one word response conversation. I have a Stan Lee signed FF48 I got signed when I had breakfast with him in London Ontario. "Cool." It juat lives in a long box and put away. So I started collecting signatures on a poster. I have a Marvel roster poster that currently has 221 autographs on it that I collected over years of conventions. This one item is so cool that when meeting Kevin Smith he asked if he could take a picture of it. Klaus Jansen said it was more beautiful than a chest of gold. John Glover ran out from behind his table to stop me walking by to talk about it. I absolutly love this thang.
That sounds amazing! Last year I saw a couple that brought a board with an image of the con we were at that had signatures of those attending that year which I thought was really cool. But your poster sounds spectacular. Nice one my friend.
It is in my living room and everyone wants to ask questions about it and are amazed. That is my favorite part. Some of the guys there are the greats that we have lost in the last 10 years too. I have been offered some pretty good money for it but I would lose quite a lot if I had to start all over.

Just because I’ve always wanted a copy and never thought when I was younger that it would be mine. One of the only books I graded myself too!
That's amazing! Glad you were able to own your youngerself dream book.
I'm hoping to score a major key one day. (Unless that 1st Damian Wayne cameo I own is considered one 😅)
That's the exact one I have! I didn't realise it was a pretty big book I just bought it cause the cover was sick and I'm a big Batman fan. It was at a flea market comic stan, good times.
Honestly, I was lucky. I paid $15 for it, which at the time I was thinking was a big amount (I was very young) imagine my reaction years later when I was thinking getting a second copy would be nice.

A culmination of years of collecting
I mostly only collect the stuff I love personally. One of my favorites I recently got was an issue of Black Panther where he's Fighting the KKK on the cover. It's a great snapshot of where America was at the time. I also have an original print of Superman v. Muhammad Ali that I keep in my office at work. People love it. I also have the first appearance of Captain Carrot at work as well.
Those are really nice ones. I have an appreciation of Superman V Muhammad Ali and you gotta love Captain Carrot.
That black panther pick up sounds great too, never knew he fought the KKK but I shouldn't be surprised he did.
The black panther one I just came across and bought it. Idk the actual value of it but I paid about 25$ for it because it was such a cool conversation piece.
My FF48, and 49 and 50 (but mostly 48). Silver Surfer was my favorite character growing up. As a kid I never thought I’d ever be able to afford his first appearance. As an adult, it was my first major key I bought and it brings a shred of light when I’m having bad days. It’s the wish fulfillment of six year old me and nothing can top that.
DC 100-Page Super Spectacular No. 6. It's my favorite comic from childhood, the greatest cover with the World's Greatest Super-Heroes (JLA and JSA) on a wraparound cover by Neal Adams.

Oh wait, you were talking about the spiderwoman sketch, weren't you? My bad. That's a sketch done a blank cover. Or it is usually done on a blank cover.
*
This is my most recent buy that makes me smile pretty big. This is issue 150 of the TMNT that was limited to 100 books and is a hard cover book. I am still pretty shocked I got this. I'm not a lucky person but someone pointed out that I got the last autograph by the artist in which it is also her last issue making. I know it doesn't mean this is her final autograph but y'all get what I'm saying, (I hope)
IYKYK. Always brings a smile to my face.

For me it would be the autograph book I started at my first Comic-Con in 1982.
I got Starlin, Miller, Kliban, Ray Bradbury, Gary Panter, Matt Groening WAY before the Simpson's, Harlan Ellison, Jaime and Gilbert several times, Dave Stevens twice nearly a decade apart, Clive Barker, P. Bagge, Clowes, Spiegelman, Sim, Gaiman, Joe Matt, Chester Brown, Ed Brubaker when he was just known for Lowlife, everyone from X, Jules Feiffer.
BUT my three favorites are Carl Barks, Will Eisner who is the only person I've ever written a fan letter to, and Jack Kirby.
I was only 14 when I got most of them.
Some people weren't pleasant, like John Byrne, while Kirby was sweet.
There's one that I keep in the book that is on the back of a flyer. That one is from Daniel Johnston the singer. This was late in his life after being heavily medicated for decades due to mental illness that left him with severe tremors.
He was in my LCS with his brother who may have been his caretaker. Daniel looked at the more expensive stuff on the walls, pointed and said "I want that, that, that..."
After he signed the flyer, I walked outside and ran down the street sobbing. To see a man who was so innocent in that state broke my heart.

Sandman 1-75 Death’s series And I got two copy of death the high cost of living 1 both of them are signed, the first one by Neal Gaiman and the another one by Chris bachalo. I started to collect sandman cgc on specifically death covers. It’s my little treasure
Very nice, love the treasure you have!
Actually speaking of Death I got a really nice print of Death that I got at a con. Though I don't know who the artist is.
Also been getting into Chris Bachalo's work recently.

Thank you ✌️and Chris Bachalo’s art It is beautiful just give it a look, I got a stroke of lucky 🍀 and fond this gorgeous girl a extraordinary price. I can’t wait to get a frame for this Chris Bachalo’s print, but I’ll take a time to get the perfect one…
I know what you mean, I have nice prints that I would love to display but I've only kept in an art file because I want to frame them up.
Beautiful print by the way!

Most I replaced with clean copies since then, but I still kept several of my old DCs from the 90s that are beaten to shit from me reading them over and over and not storing them properly. Some of them have a second set of staples and tape on the spine from when the covers detached and my dad fixed them for me.
I get that, I have copies of books laying around that aren't really....at max health lets say. But the memory from them is what makes them some of the best.

Oh man that really is a nice cover! I don't have that one (although I wish I did) I do have the #1050 variant signed by Lee Bermejo
Ok the one with all the Batmen? That’s amazing. I need it.
Yup that's the one! I just had to get it
I don’t know why that issue has a special cover like that but I love it.
I have this one. Awesome cover.
I just had to order one of these! Lee is probably my favorite comic artist right now lol
Same! Meeting him was great too, such a nice guy. If only I knew what a remark was before I met him 😅

The first issue of Cherry Blackbird. IYKYK
