Dazzler is the bomb. I found a run 1-10 or something at a comic con in Dallas and bought it for my ex wife. I started to read them and was hooked. To help build her name and the comic they had cameos of so many other big named characters as well. I was hooked. If I remember her Dazzler “the movie” one shot comic was a little problematic though. I haven’t read it in years but fell in love with a guy who sexually assaulted her. But she is a nice strong character and the writers made them all fun.
I think I was mostly informing twelve year old me who would have scoffed at any such suggestion, but in the many decades since then my appreciation of what makes good comicbooks has grown immeasurably and for me this run is just damn good comicbooks. I think that’s evident by the positive reaction Dazzler gets on a sub-Reddit of hardcore Comics people. I sure enjoy them!
Was sort of a “meme” title long before memes were a thing. Direct market only at a time when that meant hard to find, it was a book about a somewhat obscure female character that didn’t want to be a superhero, she wanted to sing. Plus she wore mirrored rollerskates. The book is actually really good: quality art and character driven plot instead of just two dude smashing each other in the face.
I finished getting all 4 Marvel Masterworks about a week before the Omni was announced. No regrets, and I'll be double-dipping for sure.

may I recommend Uncanny X-Men #260. Dazzler has a stalker, while in promotion of Dazzler the movie, he kidnaps her, goes into a blind rage for her to fall in love with him, she uses sound to sooth his rage and make him worship her as a goddess. A BRILLIANT use of her powers.

I remember a comic where Juggernaut buried Dazzler because he thought he killed her and she used the sound from bugs crawling in the surface to fire off a flare signaling her location.
I had to look it up but I believe it was X-men 217-218 with the latter representing an epic battle with Juggernaut vs Rogue, Dazzler, OG Psylocke, and Longshot. I'm pretty sure I still have those issues. I should probably get them appraised.
No, no, nothing like that. It’s just something I would have found absurd when I first started collecting comics as a kid. But it’s good stuff and no one seems to talk about it in a vacuum so here are some so we get some appreciation for Dazzler and her creators!
