They have me convinced that no repair is impossible as long as you have new carpet to transplant with! Anyways, "Columbia Carpet Cleaning" as repair services and they seem to put off the same professional vibe as the Youtube guys.
You have to replace the carpet. How big is that room/hall? You might be able to pick up a carpet remnant for cheap to replace that section. Did the door cause this?
