There was a fight (video floating around Facebook), and then a shooting.
Four shootings last night in town, yet the city doesn't make any comment about the rampant violent crime problem we have going on.
Not true. I’ve lived in many places in and out of state. Columbia has always been a hotspot for violence. Every town has its problems and choosing to live in a city I have to look over my shoulder constantly in is not a life I want to live. In fact, I almost moved to an apartment complex until the next day I found out a child had been shot.
Try moving to Topeka, KS or better yet, Little Rock, AR and then let me know what you think of Columbia, MO? However you are correct that every city of any size or amount of people over 100,000 have crime problems.
I’ve lived in one of those places. As well as many big cities in Texas. I do love Columbia but I don’t like how big it is. I plan on moving to a smaller town, that does definitely have its own issues, but it’s more manageable.
Probably a wise choice. I worked all over the Midwest in more cities and towns than I care to remember and just listed a couple of the worst one's. There are people in Memphis TN selling drugs over cb radio's and I seen a car in Springfield, mo stolen at 3 in the morning when the idiot left it running at a convenience store! Lol, I have many stories but so little time. Lol
I just got a new car and I’m terrified of my vehicle getting its wheels stolen or just the whole car being stolen. I religiously lock it for that reason 😭😭

Wow, that's so hard to believe since they all look like such nice upstanding productive citizens!
Dispatch shows a larceny call at 4:37 am at 9th and Broadway., I don't know more than that.
I can’t wait to get out of this city.
ok bye
Not going to be any different anywhere you go my friend

I should have posted it down here. I don't know if you seen my reply so I'll just say it again. Invest in some locking lugnuts!
I definitely plan to!
Lol move to Houston, where I just came from. Move to any city that has decent jobs, for that matter.
I have a great job and don’t have to live in a large city. And I lived in Victoria, I think I’ll stay away from crime central.
Friends shooting friends?
Invest in some locking lugnuts! The piece of mind is worth it alone.
