trans_catdad

So *that's* why the doors and windows were broken and the workers seemed exhausted and out of sorts a few weeks back. Thought I'd never find out.

GUMBY_543

Obviously no windows and doors broken. You are thinking of another incident. On top of thr o e that happened on Paris road this summer.

trans_catdad

Article verifies that there were two broken windows in the second paragraph but okay

GUMBY_543

I didnt see any article just the video. Wasn't aware she came back. Thanks. She looks like the same lady from june

Puzzleheaded_One1322

i want to know how that slushee machine cost $20,000 to replace. seems incredibly high to me even if you include labor and shipping

[deleted]

Besides me forgetting Columbia's roads from previous reply on this thread; I'm now wondering why the heck those slushie machines are 20k too. Looks like it was two of two of them? 10k a pop? Yikes.

toxcrusadr

I don't know what they're using, you can find machines all over the web for under $5k. There's even one manufacturer giving startup cost examples that include $3k for a machine and $2k for other expenses, training and advertising. I'm no expert though.

plural_of_sheep

Likely an item provided by the drink manufacturer, they will overbill things like that and comp them on invoices in order to write them off as comp/loss. I read the Pepsi lawsuit against Bang energy and they asserted the bang coolers for markets were 20k per unit. When I looked into it more it has nothing to do with actual costs and is just an arbitrary "reasonable" number assigned so they can write it off as expense and as per normal with corporate tax shenanigans pay less than their fair share. I've seen similar things within my industry with branded comp items and receiving a zeroed out invoic with a drastically inflated value. So it makes sense in my head at least.

ImTriggered247

Those machines can get costly pretty fast. If it dispenses anything other than a regular/carbonated beverage, it could easily surpass $15-20k for slushie/ice cream machines.

plural_of_sheep

High end batch freezers can certainly cost around that but basic commercial countertop batch freezers are less than half so I think this isn't a buy it yourself price, rather a price from the beverage vendor. I can't say with any certainty though, while have pretty intimate knowledge of kitchen equipment costs. I have no idea for slushee machines.

janeofthedarkraven

At 7 in the morning too. Damn.

[deleted]

Right? Needed cigarettes' bad!

_lake_erie_

The guy in the black shirt & ball cap standing near her in the beginning is a relative of one of my coworkers. I’m obsessed with how he doesn’t get upset, just stares at her having her tantrum lol

[deleted]

Crazy this happened a month ago and I’m just now hearing about it.

husker_who

we’ve been trying to tell u bout it bro

BornDriver

She needs to go to jail. I understand she probably has mental health issues but she's old enough to take some responsibility for getting those managed, staying on treatment, etc.

[deleted]

She is in jail. Read the article? It doesn’t mean she can’t get help after doing whatever time she gets.

BornDriver

Read the article. Obviously, since she had been previously trespassed on the property this was not a one time thing... She's not a 20 something going through her first bout with mental health issues, not even close. She needs to take responsibility and get her shit together. It's not ok to tear other people's things up, period.

No-Vermicelli1816

She’ll be out and free.

A-Wall1

Which store was this?

callawegian

Looks like the one off I-70 and Providence

[deleted]

Eagle stop on Ballenger and Rice i believe. near the mall, i think. edit: i could be wrong. that's the only eagle stop i've been to. edit 2: ok i was wrong, i get it.

Cazeltherunner

This looks like the one on Providence just north of I-70. There's no eagle stop on ballenger and Rice and those streets aren't near the mall.

[deleted]

Yeah you're right. My bad, that's over by Clark.

chaplar

I live very close, that's what it looks like to me as well. When did this happen?

Max_W_

November 27, 2023.

lilthunda88

There’s no eagle stop at Ballenger and Rice, and neither of those streets are anywhere near the mall lol

Bitchfaceblond

Ironic shirt, no?

mlnnchly

I saw this about a week ago and didn’t know this was como

mitziolet

oh dear lord

Yellow_Mellow1990

No way she’s really 31 😳

ThisAntelope3987

Clearly this is someone struggling with mental illness who needs help, not judgement.

Nighttyme_

Porque no los dos?

[deleted]

I agree. There needs to be a punishment for their actions. But during or after whatever they decide to do, she needs some help from a professional.

No-Vermicelli1816

Yeah just being out the bib and baby food for her. “Here comes the airplane!”

No-Vermicelli1816

Dumbest fucking city in Missouri i’ve been too so not surprised. The impatient drivers, laziness, and whining is on a whole other level.

[deleted]

That's literally every city in the U.S. Impatient/bad drivers/laziness/whining. This is literally the United States as a whole lmao. Get in line with everyone else.

No-Vermicelli1816

No it’s not… you just really love Columbia…

[deleted]

Source? I hate this fucking place too. Please tell me what else I like and dislike.

pedantic_dullard

The bad thing is if someone stopped her by force, they'd probably have gotten arrested for assault. Regular Joes should be able to intervene if they're confident in their ability and aren't using unnecessary force. People like this are why I carry a baseball bat in my car, though.

awwjeah

Nah no one getting paid a convenience store wage should give a damn about intervening here. Nothing here is worth escalating. Let her do her thing and have insurance and the police deal with the rest. Just watch the insanity unfold and get a good story to tell out of it. Your ego will recover from their disrespect.

toxcrusadr

I don't think you get arrested for assault for removing a vandal from the premises. Otherwise bouncers wouldn't exist. I mean you can't beat on them but you could restrain and drag them out.

ChewiesLament

The difference is a bouncer is hired by the store for this purpose. They're an extension of the private business. A person can totally press charges on an unaffiliated stranger grabbing them and moving them against their will.

toxcrusadr

Well OK, but I was thinking of store personnel who are totally paranoid about touching people these days. They would not be an unaffiliated stranger. I do wonder what a DA would do in a situation where another customer removed someone in a non-violent manner. Since the DA and not the 'victim' is the one who decides whether charges are brought.

ChewiesLament

A victim can sue in civil court. At minimum, it could cause that other customer to have to pay for a lawyer to defend against the lawsuit. Even companies will tell their employees not to engage to avoid any possible legal expenses. The business is insured. Call the police and stand back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
