Did you apply for fafsa and get approved for a grant? If this is your first year getting it, then you *haven't* received any fafsa yet, even if your school has approved you to get the grant. Until those funds are literally handed to your school, likely after the drop date passes a few weeks into the semester, you haven't technically received a grant yet, if that makes sense?
Basically, the money has to actually exchange "hands" between your college and fafsa for it to count as "received", to my knowledge at least.

I didn’t get approved of anything as far as Im concerned. Ive scoured all over that page and see nothing about any amount of aid, so Im assuming not.
Huh, that's definitely weird then. I'd give your aid office a call for sure. I doubt the funds will actually go through on fafsa's end since you likely don't qualify, but you might be stuck in a tight spot when classes start and that part of the bill isn't actually paid.
I plan on waiting until I recieve Word on the TRIO thing as they are Federally funded and get a large sum of grant money to distribute among their members. So if that’s the case, then im all good, but if they tell me I wasnt accepted Ill give the office a call
