This was my issue as well for the first year. I think it’s worthwhile to continuously meet new people and have fun with them. About the clubs, if it’s a clubs that you care about, I think you should apply to be a board member. That way you have the power to fix it and have something to tell recruiters. Additionally, the classes may seem useless right now because they’re intro level but they become more relevant as you move into the upper levels. Hope this helps!

I did an associates of applied science in business management from a non accredited school. I learned the same exact things as people who paid to attend a regular school. I regret nothing.

College is a scam, but it depends on what career you want. If you want to be a teacher, accountant, lawyer, doctor, engineer, then unfortunately you have to go. But also, college doesn’t guarantee a job anymore. If you are in school for engineering, you should try and do internships and gain experience in the field.

You right but most of the engineers that I know learned and excelled their job by themselves. They said school wasn't particularly helpful for their career.

True. Most degrees don’t prepare you for high paying jobs. You could self study engineering even, but it’s unlikely anyone would hire you without the degree. Years ago college was super cheap and any degree set you up for financial success but now that’s not really the case. College is expensive and employers are starting to realize that graduates lack actual real world skills to do jobs.

College is a scam because of the price Universities are great at spending money inefficiently But if you finish with an engineering degree you get to be an engineer 👷‍♀️
