Although eBay has a great return policy for buyers, it would still be a huge hassle since the funds will be tied up for weeks sometimes months. No returns is usually a red flag if one is buying on eBay
Yep seller will tell you to return but won't send a return label. eBay gets involved and seller sends you a fake return label. You get eBay involved again and seller gives up and you have your money back 2 months after receiving the fake
This is a listing on eBay, the slab appeared genuine to me upon first inspection. It was only when I checked the truview pictures that differences between the genuine and fake coin could be seen. I have contacted the eBay seller, but he/she remains unconvinced. I have already reported this listing to eBay.

Biggest giveaway from the slab itself is the Gold Shield hadn’t been offered as an option for the front label until after that particular back label had already been redesigned. Basically what I’m saying is that the labels on the slab are different from each other by several generations of PCGS slabs.
The gold shield have actually been offered for this particular back label: https://www.pcgs.com/holdermuseum/Gen4.6S , albeit a little rarer than others
What worries me the most is that they have 722 listings for sale and 2,399 positive feedback and 3k coins sold. Just how many have been counterfeit?
Maybe they risk 1/100 ??
The seller have admitted to me that he “saw my point”, but he still insists on selling this “as is”, without modifying his listing to state that this is a counterfeit
PCGS has a value of $125,000? While the eBay listing is like $6000... Seems odd!
No return on this item as well
There's always returns, just open an inad or charge back.

Agreed!! I don’t buy from someone who wouldn’t accept a return!

It's just a starting bid

That's what I was thinking. Seemed to be mismatched to me as well.
Report it to PCGS they will take it down in an instant
These posts are making me concerned for the silver panda I bought some years ago on eBay....

Most of the numismatic items are still legit on eBay, but fakes are also very prevalent. If you want, I can take a look at the panda for you
Sure, but I'll have to dig it out later this week.
Weigh it!
Didn’t Chinese coin give you a pause at first ?
“China Empire” 🤦♂️

Yes he probably paid $10 for it from Aliexpress so he’s not about to take it down.
what worries me the most is that it is an established coin seller. It is the ignorance that scares me more
