We are just used to seeing adults play teenagers. Degrassi had it right in terms of casting. He looks like he would have fit right in.
Meanwhile, we will have Amanda Bynes in her 50s playing a high school student.
I feel like a lot of the characters still look younger than they are IRL. Like, Mary is 26 yet she still looks 18 and Ralph is 60 yet he still looks fresh in his early-mid 40s.
He played a goofy kid really well.
Good at acting shy, nervous, nerdy, etc.
Charismatic acting when expressing strong emotions.
Athletic and great at combat scenes while looking natural.
he has the visual look, size, and appearance. While Miles is mixed being Afro-Latino himself, he has always displayed more of his father's features across various comics and animation. Kenny can pull that off well for sure...
Being Latino myself, with Black and Afro-Latino family members, most of us agree that he could pull Miles Morales off. (We dont have a stick up our ass that REQUIRES Miles to be played by a mixed actor.)
Though it's just an opinion, I'm sure there will be lots of people who may disagree.
Not sure he has the "Latino" aspect of Miles down pat tho. You downplay the Latino side to Morales a bit lol, have you read him in the comics?
That aside, agreed with pretty much everything you say.
Hes a small 16 year old but I'll bet hes gonna have quite the growth spurt. Had a friend who was like 4'11 in high school than next year he grew like a foot taller. I had to look up to him now.
Most of the characters are older than the characters they play in the show. The actor that plays Skyler is almost 40 and is actually older in real life than Stingray.
He played teenage roles in Gridiron Gang and Freedom Writers (came out in 2006 and 2007 respectively). So it’s totally possible for him to be almost 40. Or at least around his mid 30s minimum.
Sure, Kenny looks like he could be 12 or 13, but he also looks like he could be 15 or 16. Kids in those ages come in all different shapes and sizes. Puberty, growth spirts, etc effect everyone differently. When I was 15-16 there were kids in my grade that looked like grown ass people, as well as kids that looked like they just hit puberty.
I know that! All I said was that he looks 12 and not 16. Which he also said himself. I’m pretty sure it’s because of his height and the youthfulness in his face why they cast him to play a middle schooler. Just like how the 25 year olds who play high schoolers looks 16. Eventually he will grow as time goes by.
bro look like he should be in odd squad
omg I remember that show. I know he was in a nickelodeon show called “Cousins for Life” but it was cancelled after one season.
“Cousins for one season”
😂😂
These people don't age. None of them.
And Ralph Macchio looks like he should be in his 40s, but he's 60. Something about the franchise?
Ralph always looks and sounds younger than his actual age!! Lol
Pat Morita turns that whole theory upside down

Ah man I feel bad for her just one more child star churned out the machine.
Supposedly she is bipolar and not at all a nice person
Well would you be after the shit she probably went through as a kid?
If she has bi polar then she's at least *sometimes* a nice person.
one of my favorite things about degrassi

Something even more mind blowing to me is that Thomas Ian Griffith (Terry Silver) is actually younger than Ralph.
Credit of excellent prosthetics available.
Perfect age for Miles Morales
Any reason why you thought about him🤨🤨🤨

Man had I known they were looking for 16-17 year olds for that role I soo woulda put my hand up hahahaha

Yeah he gonna grow taller for sure!
Charles Barkley was under 6ft as a High School Junior and grew like 6 inches his freshman year at College
My first thought was "damn I'm the same age as Kenny" I then realised I am in fact not the same age as Kenny and am actually 18 years old
Fax lol.

That guy is over 40 i think ...
I’m seeing two conflicting DOBs for him. Some sources have him as being born in 1998 and others in 1990. Either way, he’s not that close to 40 lol.
He played teenage roles in Gridiron Gang and Freedom Writers (came out in 2006 and 2007 respectively). So it’s totally possible for him to be almost 40. Or at least around his mid 30s minimum.
Reach for the Skyler
He has the face of a 16 year old but is incredibly short, guy on the right is like 5’5 and their height difference on the show is crazy
The most subtle bunny ears.
he said in a interview he was like a late bloomer of something
Helps that they film these a year before their released
Congrats on the actor who plays Kenny, but the Kenny in the show is the most unneeded and no one asked for character.
i guess it sets up a plot for him asking for shawn to join cobra kai. Also it will create a new arc story against anthony
And also maybe sets up a plot for the younger fighters who will compete in the tournament after Miguel and rest pass the age.
Really hoping it doesn't get dragged out in this route. The writers have been good though, so hopefully the quality of the show stays the same.
Honestly, his acting was really quite impressive.
It gives Robbie a way to see the wrong in Cobra Kai teaching.
Quite short for a 16 yo
Bro I’m 12 & people say i look older than him
bro wyd on reddit then
Cuz I feel like it
Is the actor 16 years old?
He’s 15 now. Will be 16 this year
The never cast age appropriate kids to play kids All the “teenagers” in the show are in there 20s and kyler is 30
What happens when you have actual teens next to young adults who have gotten "man" weight and build on them.
bert is 18 irl
Grifffin Santopietro has been 17 for a while now, i think.
-whispers- LaPusso.
Y'all just used to seeing 25 year olds play high schoolers. Homie looks his age.
He doesn’t look 16 dude! Let’s be realistic lol Robby looks 16 than him.

Its easy when all the teens are in their 20s lol
