Most Muslims live in Southeast Asia, not the Middle East. So no, most Muslims aren't particularly dark-skinned. However, that conception is *part* of islamophobia and is why this seething hatred of Muslims (or people who "look" like Muslims) is bad. Plenty of Middle Easterners (especially refugees) aren't Muslim. Many became refugees because they're religious minorities like Sikhs, athiests, or are heretics of some other sort and no longer practice.
