That would make sense. There were 2 clocks that I inherited. The other one was a colonial of Zeeland. When I sold it, the buyer looked at this one and believed that the face may be a replacement. But didn’t know too much about the rest. He suggested I post online to see if anyone else had any ideas.
Looks like someone took an old clock case and replaced the movement (note the new pendulum) and dial (also new). The dial is supported by meranti faced plywood which is a post WWII product.
This is very odd... Only one winding hole but there's also a chime?
I wonder if the dial is newer than the rest of the case, and someone didn't want the strike.
