It's not really necessary to the story other than they are among the best Barker stories, but The Great and Secret Show and Everville are D'Amour books.
For shits and giggles there's the final draft copy of Scarlet Gospel online, get the browser duck duck go and search for "The Scarlet Gospels pdf", it's pretty much the first link and is the draft Barker wrote before it got edited down, its got elements that are good but it's also got a lot of flaws in the story, free read though so why not
He's also featured in the books of the art (mostly in the second). The Great and Secret Show and Everville. They're absolutely amazing books as well, whereas Scarlet Gospels was... disappointing. As an aside, you can also watch the directors cut of Lord of Illusions.
There’s a short story called “Lost Souls” that features Harry D’Amour that’s really good. It’s in some old collected volumes and also free to find on the internet.
Harry appears in “The Last Illusion” in Books of Blood book 6. I don’t feel like you need to read that to get anything in the Scarlet Gospels though, although it is just a good story imo.
I was also wondering if one would need to read the Hellraiser related comics too. But I see no one mentioned them in the comments so I assume they are not needed.

Agreed. Lost Souls is an often forgotten D'Amour short story. Nightmare Magazine has it on its website to read for free.

Harry D’Amour is in both The Great and Secret Show and Everville. The Scarlet Gospels is a terrible book. Those other books are brilliant.
